How do I FTP with Tiger without a FTP program?
I saw the tip on the web site a few days ago, but now I can't find it.
    Thanks ahead,

I was very disappointed to find that we were misled. I am not sure if the guy who wrote this simply didn't check before he wrote this or what.
I wonder why Apple just took this off their site without any explanation to the people that were deceived. I spent quite a bit of time browsing discussions and contacting apple support to figure out that there was no truth to this "tip" of the week. How difficult would it have been to simply post a new tip, saying that we should not waste our time with this?

Have a look at the function group SFTP. Use function module ftp_command to create the directory sending the mkdir command.
Use the where-used list to find sample programs.

  • How to create a new FTP folder for a child theme for Word Press?

Hello, I am getting hung up on creating a new ftp folder in OS X 10.5.8 in order to set up a child theme. Once I am in the ftp file listing <Go - Connect to Server> I'm not sure how to create the folder after that.  I've tried right clicking (external mouse).  Newer Macs seem to have an Add Folder button at the top of the page. Does anyone know how to do this?

    Hi laundry,
I tried that but it didn't work.  I'm thinking I need to move in a different direction than the child theme option.  Maybe I'll need to do this further down the road when my blog is more advanced.  The Command +Shift+ N shortcut should work in other windows though right?

  • How to Create NFS in Linux

    Hi all,
I am very much new to Linux Admin, i am basically working as a apps dba, i have two servers, i installed Oracle Linux on that, now i want to create NFS file system, i have created u01 mount pioint in Linux1 and u01 in linux 2 with same space , i am able to ping both servers and i am able to do ftp both servers, could any one explain me how to create NFS in linux servers,
    Thanks

On the server, edit the file <tt>/etc/exports</tt> to list the directories you
want NFS to offer, and to which systems they should be offered:
    /u01    *(rw,sync,no_root_squash)
    /u02    *(rw,sync,no_root_squash)
    /u03    *(rw,sync,no_root_squash)The <tt>*</tt> matches any system/network and the <tt>(rw)</tt> says let the
other systems read and write the tree, the <tt>sync</tt> forces the server NFS
to finish the I/O before telling the clients the I/O is done, and the optional
<tt>no_root_squash</tt> lets root on a client system access the files as if
they were root on the NFS server; this may not be what you want.
    # /sbin/chkconfig nfs on
    # /sbin/service nfs startOn the NFS client, edit the <tt>/etc/fstab</tt> file to have lines that look
    like this:
    myserver:/u01 /u01 nfs rw,rsize=32768,wsize=32768,sync,nointr,hard 0 0
    myserver:/u02 /u02 nfs rw,rsize=32768,wsize=32768,sync,nointr,hard 0 0
myserver:/u03 /u03 nfs rw,rsize=32768,wsize=32768,sync,nointr,hard 0 0and then from the client make sure you can see the offered files:
    # /usr/sbin/showmount -e myserverand if you can, do this on the client:
    # mkdir /u01 /u02 /u03
    # mount /u01
    # mount /u02
    # mount /u03If the clients ever reboot, the NFS files will be mounted automatically and you
will not need these last 3 commands.
The RDBMS has its own requirements for the options in the <tt>/etc/fstab</tt>
entry, so the <tt>rw,rsize=...</tt> example may need to be adjusted a little.
    Happy NFS'ing.

  • How to create new RF transaction in R/3?

    Hi Guys,
Can anyone tell me how to create new RF transaction In WM. If possible step by step.
    Thanks heeps.

    Hi again,
well if you need it for an infoObject ZMATERIAL,
Create the infoObject ZMATERIAL with reference to 0MATERIAL and you will have all 0MATERIAL hierarchies available for ZMATERIAL.
    Nothing additional necessary.
The creation of similar Hierarchy-Extractors in R/3 is, as far as i know, not possible.
The proper order for the FF-Elements when uploading the self-defined hierarchy depends on the hierarchy-settings in the DataSource, for instance for sorted hierarchies:
    Node ID     NODEID     NUMC     8
    InfoObject Name     INFOOBJECT     CHAR     30
    Node Name     NODENAME     CHAR     32
    Link Name     LINK     CHAR     1
    Parent Node     PARENTID     NUMC     8
    First Subnode     CHILDID     NUMC     8
Next Node Along     NEXTID     NUMC     8
    Language Key     LANGU     CHAR     1
Description - Short     TXTSH     CHAR     20
Description - Medium     TXTMD     CHAR     40
Description - Long     TXTLG     CHAR     60

Do i want to create a new Package for the LOV?Yes create BC4J component structure like xx.oracle.apps.xx.xx.lov.server and xx.oracle.apps.xx.xx.lov.webui.
    For creating a LOV.
    1. Create a item of Type MessageLovInputBean.
    2. Create a LOV VO
    3. Create a table Region inside it
    4. Create LOV Mapping
Follow exercise : Search in below link to see how to create LOV.

  • Probably broken initrd, how to create one anew under Arch

    Hi again,
I managed to install Arch on my USB flash drive which I partitioned /dev/sdb1 to be /boot,
/dev/sdb2 = PV of vgarch with one lv_root and one lv_var, and swap as /dev/sdb5 (first  partition in extended part.)
The FTP install went fine after I had mounted /boot and the LVs / and /var.
I also successfully ran the setup afterwards, editing each config file, even those where I didn't apply any modifications.
Finally, I installed grub in the MBR of the USB drive, viz. /dev/sdb.
When asked during the configuration what modules I would require during boot
I confirmed LVM, RAID and included dm-mod manually in the MODULES array.
Nevertheless, the initial RAM disk must have been created incorrectly.
Because when I boot from the stick
the grub menu appears and when the default entry gets started I get the error message:
    Booting 'Arch Linux'
    root (hd1,0)
Filesystem type is ext2fs, partition type 0x83
    kernel /vmlinuz26 root=/dev/mapper/vgarch-lv_root ro
    Error 15: File not found
    Press any key to continue...
I know that something must have gone wrong while createing the initrd file.
Sorry, right now I cannot even mount my USB stick in the running Xubuntu from where I write this posting.
The reason is pretty daft, as I was too unwary.
Being used to the RHEL/CentOS initrd image files (where absolute path names are stripped)
I instantly did the following mess and buggered up my running Linux.
    # mkdir /tmp/arch
    # cd /tmp/arch
    # gzip -dc /media/disk/kernel26.img | cpio -di
Ouch, this overrode many important binaries
I should have first piped it into
    ... | cpio -ti | less
    or at least
    ... | cpio -di --no-absolute-filenames
    Did I mention that I haven't made a backup
Never mind, this is a surf only installation anyway which I quickly can replace.
After having extracted the cpio image with stripped absolute paths I looked at the init script.
On RHEL/CentOS there is the mkinitrd script to recreate the initial RAM disk more easily
    than from scratch.
    Exists something similar under Arch?

    MKINITCPIO(5)                             MKINITCPIO(5)
    NAME
mkinitcpio - Create an initial ramdisk environment
    SYNOPSIS
           mkinitcpio [OPTIONS]
    DESCRIPTION
Creates an initial ramdisk environment for booting the linux kernel.
The initial ramdisk is in essence a very small environment (early
userspace) which loads various kernel modules and sets up necessary
things before handing over control to init. This makes it possible to
have, for example, encrypted root filesystems and root filesystems on a
software RAID array. mkinitcpio allows for easy extension with custom
hooks, has autodetection at runtime, and many other features.
    OPTIONS
           -c config
Use config file to generate the ramdisk. Default:
           /etc/mkinitcpio.conf
           -k kernelversion
Use kernelversion. Default is the current running kernel.
           -s filelist
Saves a list of all the files in the initial ramdisk in filelist.
Default: no; This means the filelist will not be retained if this
option isn´t specified. Useful for debugging purposes.
           -b basedir
Use basedir as a starting point for gathering information about the
           currently running system. Default: /.
           -g filename
Generate a CPIO image as filename. Default: no; this means nothing
will be written to the filesystem unless this option is specified.
           -a filelist
Append to an existing filelist. Default no.
           -p preset
Build initial ramdisk according to specified preset. Presets are
           found in /etc/mkinitcpio.d
           -m message
Print message before passing control to kinit.
           -S hooks
Skip hooks when generating the image. Several hooks should be
           comma-separated.
           -v
Verbose output. Outputs more information about what´s happening
           during creation of the ramdisk.
           -M
Display modules found via autodetection. mkinitcpio will
automatically try to determine which kernel modules are needed to
start your computer. This option lists which modules were detected.
           -L
           List all available hooks.
           -H hookname
           Output help for hookname hookname
           -h
Output a short overview of available command-line switches.
    ABOUT HOOKS
A hook is a script that executes in the initial ramdisk. The order and
which scripts are executed is found in the HOOKS=() array in the
mkinitcpio configuration file. A hook will, for example, set up the
udev device filesystem, load IDE modules, etc...
    ABOUT PRESETS
A preset is a pre-defined definition on how to create an initial
ramdisk. Instead of specifying the configuration file and which output
file, every time you generate a new intial ramdisk, you define a preset
and use the -p switch to generate an initial ramdisk according to your
preset. Presets are located in /etc/mkinitcpio.d
    FILES
           /etc/mkinitcpio.conf
           Default configuration file for mkinitcpio.
           /etc/mkinitcpio.d
           Folder containing mkinitcpio presets.
           /lib/initcpio
Files related to creating an initial ramdisk.
    EXAMPLES
           mkinitcpio
Perform a dry-run. This will generate an initial ramdisk but will
not write anything. Use -g to create the real image.
           mkinitcpio -p kernel26
Create an initial ramdisk based on the kernel26 preset.

Earlier in this forum itself in cRIO 900x controllers will run Pharlap and run C/C++ code compiled into .dll files. Can you please tell how to transfer the created DLL to RT controller memory throght FTP?
    Thanks and regards,

There is another KB article about this for Pharlap based controllers. And you are right the earlier CompactRIO controllers were Pharlap based. Basically for a deployed application to work, you need to put the DLL through FTP in "/ni-rt/system". If you deploy it directly from the project everything will be loaded into memory through the project environment itself including directly dependable DLLs, (but of course won't survive a power cycle).
I hope you are aware that while Windows DLLs can work on Pharlap OS they by no means will do so always. The Pharlap OS has not a fully featured Windows API. Also you need to be careful which version of Visual C you are going to use depending on the Pharlap OS version, since the VC runtime DLLs already present on the controller will need to be the same as the ones your Visual C environment likes to link in. Recent Pharlap OS versions use the msvcr71.dll. It's very possible that those runtime libraries can't just simply be copied from a normal Windows installation but might have been recompiled by NI specifically for their controller targets.
So to avoid problems it's a good idea to make sure your DLL uses the same runtime library DLL or make your DLL to include the static MS runtime.
