How to create grid texture in Photoshop?

How to create grid texture in Photoshop?

Christoph points out a very good method for creating your own grid pattern.
There is one already provided that may be sufficient.  Choose Edit - Fill - Pattern, load the standard Patterns set, and choosing the grid pattern Tiles-Smooth from the provided Patterns...

    I'm trying to replicate this background texture in Adobe Photoshop CS5. Can anyone give me a few pointers as to how this will work? I'll give you an update with any suggestions provided. Thanks

    I posted a comment in the thread saying it looked to me like spam, but I didn't report it, so a forum admin must have spotted it and thought the same.  Since you are posting under a new user name I assume they disabled your first user account as well.  Even if unintentionally, you posted a linked advertisement (= spam), so you needn't be surprised or offended at the reaction. The thing is to avoid doing that in the future. Welcome and good luck!

    When you write Apply a layer what do you mean Script will select layer by name. A new document will have a background layer or a normal layer do you want to rename that there is onle one layer. Or do you want to add a layer by name what kind?
    thanks for answer. you know like background layer. for example when you are generating web buttons you are preparing background layers. it will select a layer like that.

  • How to create "Fisheye Effect" with Photoshop 10, on a Mac computer

    How to create "Fisheye effect" with Photoshop 10 on a Mac computer?

    One way : use the filter : correct camera distortion. Move the remove distortion slider towards left (barrel distortion)
    Or, first increase the canvas size to a square format bigger than the larger dimension of the image and play with the filter : distort, spherize.

  • How to create a textured background

    Hi,
    I am very new to Java3D and I need help on how to create a textured background instead of using plain colors. I want to use a jpeg file for the background. Could anyone tell me a sample algorithm that will load this jpeg file and then set it up as the Scene's background?
    Thank you,
    Rubydium.

    What you want to do is create a background node and add an object textured on the inside. Here is a bit of sample code:
    BranchGroup bgGeometry = new BranchGroup();
    Appearance App = new Appearance();
    try {
       Texture tex = new TextureLoader(new java.net.URL(filePath+"yourTexture.jpg"), this).getTexture();
       App.setTexture(tex);
    catch (Exception e)
        e.printStackTrace();
    Sphere outerWorld = new Sphere( 1.0f, Primitive.GENERATE_TEXTURE_COORDS | Primitive.GENERATE_NORMALS_INWARD, App);
    bgGeometry.addChild(outerWorld); As you can probably tell, this is just creating a new BranchGroup and appearance and populating it with a sphere that displays it's appearance inwards.
    Background bg = new Background();
    bg.setApplicationBounds(bounds);
    bg.setGeometry(bgGeometry);
    objRoot.addChild(bg);

  • How do I install Textures into Photoshop CS5?

    I just got CS5 and can't figure out how to install textures into it. I am not even seeing a Textures folder. Can anyone provide me with a bit of guidance on this? It would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.
    Sabrina

    This worked for me: I created a Textures folder in my user presets folder (Users/(name)/AppData/Roaming/Adobe/Adobe Photoshop CS5/Presets); I moved my desired .PSD textures there.  Then, when I restarted PSCS5, I went to Filters>Texture>Texturize and clicked on the flyout menu next to Texture:.  When prompted to Load Texture ... , I drilled down to that same Textures folder I created under my user name.  The texture won't be added to the standard textures (Brick, Canvass, etc.), but PSCS5 will remember the location you specified to look for textures.
    You can do the same thing by creating a Textures folder in the Program Files (x86) (Program Files (x86)/Adobe/ ... etc.) but you'll need Administrator powers for this and for every time you want to add textures.

  • How to create noise texture - Illustrator Tips

    Hello. I saw this piece of art on one of the Illustrator tips & techniques section, and was wondering if someone knew how to create this "noise" texture in Illustrator?
    What I've had to do in the past to get a similar effect was to complete my illustration in Illustrator, then bring that artwork into Photoshop and paint over the desired areas... but this looks a lot nicer than the results I've gotten. If this can be done in vector, that would be another plus!
    Does anyone have any insight they could share on this?
    Thank you!

    You are welcome.
    The site of which that tutorial is a part (HERE) has a lot of good tutorials, including a few more about adding texture in Illustrator.

  • How to create these shapes in photoshop?

    For my PhD research, I would like to construct 3 kinds of images on  photoshop. I want to transfer it to the piece of glass where I will  conduct some experiments.  If you please help me to construct such kind  of images on photoshop, I will remain thankful to you:
    Image 1:
    This is non uniform kind of a pattern in which different shapes of  pentagons/ hexagons etc are situated at different intervals.
    Image 2:
    This is the regular pattern. I dont know how to create it. Also if I can  change the thickness of the black shade, what I need to do?
    Image 3:
    This is a pattern in which we want to connect the different size balls  to the neighbouring ball. Please note that the thickness of the line is  varying and the size of the balls is also different... Please note also  that I want to populate this configuration randomly.

    They are probably all better done in Illustrator first.
    I will post some examples of what you might do tomorrow.
    For instance though not quit right the technique is good.
    1. I drew a rectangle with gray fill no stroke.
    2 Then rasterized the rectangle
    3. Applied a Object>Object to Mosaic and chose to delete the raster
    4 Applied a roughen effect to it
    5. expanded the object and made some manual moves for some of the resulting objects
    6 Made a black rectangle large enough to encompass the art and sent it to the back
    7 I selected all and with the pathfinders minus the front.
    and used it for a clipping mask
    8. Made another rectangle
    You can now probably bring this into Photoshop and so some more work on it and you are fine.
    Now you will have to experiment with the adjustments for the Mosaic and the roughen and might want to add an effect or two.
    Oh yes I also used the alignment panel to redistribute the objectsI am not certain that is hepful.
    I may have gone too far with the roughen filter.

    use Output Module in Bridge (CS4 and CS5 only) and you can very easily and quickly create a slideshow. Loads of options in a very easy to understand format and in an order.
    Have fun!
    IMO the Output Module in Bridge offers a limited number of options. If you can program some you have endless possibilities using Photoshop Scripting.   I have an old 20th century programming background, don't have good understanding of object programming still I was able to hack one of Jeffrey Tranberry Photoshop scripts created for the Simpleviewer Web Gallery Flash Viewer. I Changed features and Added features and options I wanted for example Meta-data support for copyright notice, titles, description, Links, e-Mail to, EXIF etc.  It was also easy to adapt this script to generate other Flash Web Galleries like WS-Slideshow.
    Examples:
    SimpleViewer: http://www.mouseprints.net/SVNewZealand/
    Ws-Slideshow the way I generate these I hide the Ws-Slideshow menu bar you need to hover the mouse cursor over the bottom of the image window to be able to see and use it. This Ws-Slideshow gallery contains nine albums http://www.mouseprints.net/albums/

  • How to create grid control in java

    hi,
    i want grid control in java like visual basic. can any one give me solution.

    I am new to this. I want to display the data from database like a grid control. Ok, what problems are you having. You been given a link to the tutorial which shows you how to build a table.
    There is also a tutorial on [url http://java.sun.com/docs/books/tutorial/]JDB Database Access here:
    http://java.sun.com/docs/books/tutorial/
    Start by creating your SQL statement and iterating throught the ResultSet. Once you know how to do that, instead of outputting the data you simply build a DefaultTableModel and create the JTable.

  • How to Create a Texture in Muse

    Is there a way to create or get a texture for a solid color in muse?  My goal is to fill a box with a texture similar to the ones below. Thanks in advance.

    I was hoping someone would reply with an answer, as I would really like to have this functionality. My guess is that it is not possible at this time.
    In the past, I've used Fireworks to design the components of my websites, and you could fill shapes with textures. But I have to remember that Muse is not an image editor like Fireworks or Photoshop and if I want something more complex than a solid color fill or gradient, I have to build it outside of Muse and import it.

  • How to load/install textures in Photoshop Elements 12?

    Hi all,
    How can I load/install textures (not patterns!) in the "Quick" mode of Photoshop Elements 12?
    I have tried to copy a texture in the folder "Adobe\Photoshop Elements 12\Required\quickEdit\textures" but it does not appears between the textures in the Quick mode...

    You can do it in Expert mode but need to have your texture saved as a PSD file. Then open the image you want to apply the texture to which makes the Filter menu active.
    Click Filter >> Texture >> Texturizer
    When the Texturizer dialog open you should see a tiny menu icon (four small lines) to the right of the Texture drop-down list. Click on the menu icon and choose Load Texture; then navigate to your saved PSD file, select it and click open. It won’t appear as a thumbnail but will be available in the drop-down list. You can apply it to your open image and use the scaling and relief sliders etc to adjust the effect.
    Alternatively if your texture is a jpeg simply add it as a layer rather than worry about importing it to the filter library. Just open your main image and texture image in Expert mode (they will both appear in the photo bin) and click on the main image so that it shows in the Editor space. Then click on the texture image in the photo bin and drag it up and drop it on top of the main image. Go to the layers pallet and change the blend mode to overlay. You can experiment with other blend modes and change opacity until you get the effect you like.
