How to create new data class in DDIC?

Hi Friends,
I want to store 5 custom tables into a particular Table space.
For that i want to creat a new Dataclass and which has to be mapped to a new table space.
So what i need is.
1. How to create a new Customer data class apart from USER1 and USER that is available?
2. How to map the newly created Dataclass to a Table space?
Purpose: DBA wants to maintain these tables separately so that this won't disturb other data.
SAP VERSION - 4.7EE - AIX - DB2
Any help on this would be highly appreciated.

you can use either usr or usr1 for your development ... because
read the belo statment provided by SAP
The data class defines the physical area of the database (for ORACLE the TABLESPACE) in which your table is logically stored. If you choose a data class correctly, your table will automatically be assigned to the correct area when it is created on the database.
The most important data classes are (other than the system data):
APPL0    Master data
APPL1    Transaction data
APPL2    Organizational and customizing data
Master data is data which is frequently read, but rarely updated. Transaction data is data which is frequently updated. Organizational und customizing data is data which is defined when the system is initialized and then rarely changed.
There are two more data classes available, USR and USR1. These are reserved for user developments. The tables assigned to these data classes are stored in a tablespace for user developments.
Note:The data class only has an effect on table storage for the database systems ORACLE and INFORMIX

Can anybody let me know the procedure of how to create new .ctl or .dat file to load data to tables.
i working on 2day dba chapter 8. it shows me how to creat table and use .dat file to load data. but doesnot giv any clue how new .dat file and its contents can be created. please help.

I ve created txt file in notepad and saved it as dat file. tried to load that data thru Enterprise manager. used load data from User files everything went well and job was showing suceeded but dont know why that data is not showing in the table. i ve tried it now for three four times. used right table and pathe but dont know. has anybody got idea why that ll be?

I have a requirement in my project, where in i have to create some new date rules. I've searched the whole web to find any document which explains the XML for Date rules but couldn't find any. Does any one know what that XML means, and how to create new Date rules ?

it just calculates new dates base on reference dates or abap function modules.
In IMG in Date management node you can create your own date rules.
Best would be to copy existing one and than modify it.

Valuation class means:
Assignment of a material to a group of G/L accounts
With other factors, the valuation class determines the G/L accounts that are updated as a result of a valuation-relevant transaction or event such as a goods movement.
The valuation class makes it possible to:
Post the stock values of materials of the same material type to different G/L accounts
Post the stock values of materials of different material types to the same G/L account
Account category reference is assigned to val.class and val.class is assigned to material type and g/l is assigned to v.class

          1. i may create new row on the grid (empty row inwhich i may enter the data).
          2. i may delete a existing row in the grid

then i have to trace the modification in the grid in one internal table...
how can i get into this.....

class, I have retreived the xml content in the meta_data object, after that i have converted into character array and this will be sends to SAX
* In this case , the XML file created successfully but the retreived XML content added as an text in between basic-metadata Element, that is, retreived XML content
is not an XML type text, it just an Normal text Why that ?

How to create new OC4J instance in AS 10.1.3 with BC4J- and ADF-Libraries

I have done all the steps mentioned in this thread:
How to create new OC4J instance in AS 10.1.3
However, the new created OC4J instance obviously misses some libraries. If I deploy my Application to this OC4J I get an internal error: Class not found: oracle.jbo.JboException.
The same Application runs well in the "home" Instance.
What is the trick, to create a new OC4J instance, which more or less behaves the same way as the "home" instances (and especially has all the same libraries)?

I encountered this last month. I definitely agree that it is a glaring omission to not have "Create Like" functionality when instantiating new containers. Here's my notes on the manual steps required after using createinstance to create the fresh container. Not too bad. I've been deploying ADF applications to the new container with no problems after this.

The default (home) OC4J container is pre-configured for ADF 10.1.3 applications; however, when $ORACLE_HOME/bin/createinstance is used to create additional containers, these containers are not configured automatically to host ADF 10.1.3 applications.
I followed these manual steps:
1. $ORACLE_HOME/j2ee/home/config/server.xml defines three shared libraries that "install" the needed JARs for Oracle ADF applications in your application server instance (container). Note that "install" does not necessarily mean available to applications (see Step 2). Already we have added one data file each in sapdata_1 and 2. Sapdata3 and 4 are emptry.
How to add new data file in sapdata3 or 4.

Authorization Issue on creating New Data Source

Hi Experts,
   We met several issues after we upgrade one of our BW system from 3.5 to BI 7.0.
   We have a customized role for our BW developer which name is SYN:BC_USER_FOR_BWDEVELOPER. When we assign this role to the users, the users should have access to create new data source, create/change on ODS, infocube, infobjects,etc. The developers also need access transformation roles and BEX Web Templates.
   After we upgrade our BW system from 3.5 to BI7.0. All the access has been denied. Then I tried to added many authorization objects in the developer role, then the developer role can access all the data source except transformation rules.
The following is the authorization objects which I have added:

S_RS_COMP
S_RS_COMP1

When i execute create transformation rules with the account which already have bw_all role, the system shows you have no authorization.

How to create Hive data source?!!

I am trying to create hive data source connection.
I am stack on creating connection profile and configuring "Generic JDBC Driver" .. after i added drivers i keep getting " Required property in driver definition missing value: Driver Class." error.

In Jdbc node create a Jdbc Connection Pool with the
Url=jdbc:borland:dslocal:/jbuilder6/samples/Ejb/db/esite.jds
and driver=com.borland.datastore.jdbc.DataStoreDriver. Create a Datasource
using a Jndi & Jdbc Connection Pool.

I use JDK to create 2 objects, one is Customer and one is Book. I need to enqueue these 2 objects, but they canot share the same queue class. Some one told me that I can create a container class for these 2 objects but I don't know how to create it. Can some one tell me how to create the container class?
