How to create PR for services from IW31 / IW32

Hi,
We are trying to create a PR for Services from Work Order IW31.
When the PR is created automatically from Order, the PR shows "F" in the Account Assignment Category for Order but shows blank in the Item category field with the field disabled.
Because of this we cannot enter service details in PR. We were hoping that "D" for Services will appear in the Item category field and the Services tab will be open for input.
I will appreciate if i could know where am i going wrong or is there a way around.

Hi,
For external purchase of services
If you want to purchase external services then in order under operation tab enter control key as PM02 for respective operation and maintain data if small window appear.
After saving/release of order system will create Purchase requisition
Process
Create order - IW31 >> maintain control key PM02 in operation tab and save then PR is created-view it by ME52N >> Convert this PR in to PO by ME21N >> After performing service Accept service by ML81N
For external purchase of material
If you want to purchase external MATERIAL then in order under COMPONENT tab enter item category as NON STOCK for respective material and maintain data if small window appear.
After saving/release of order system will create Purchase requisition
Process
Order >> maintain item category non stock for material and save then PR is created-view it by ME52N >> Convert this PR in to PO by ME21N >> Goods receipt by MIGO ..

You need to implement Oracle service Procurement module to create PO for services.
First, you need to create requisitions for Rate based temp labour/Fixed Price services etc. then convert this requisition to Complex PO.
The complex PO can be of one of the three types - Milestone based/Lumpsum Order/Rate based temp labour(Contingent worker).
You don't need a item or recipt as you need to create work confirmation for Milestone/Lumpsum orders.
The timecard entered in OTL by the contingent worker will be integrated with the complex PO created for Contingent worker and AP invoice will be created accordingly.

How to create a mock service from WSDL through J developer

Hi All,
I want to create a mock service from available WSDL through J developer. The thing is, the WSDL doesn't have any endpoints associated with it. But, I have a requirement where I have to create a mock service from the WSDL and it should be deployed into local server for testing purpose. What is the procedure for creating mock service? The WSDL has two operations request and response, whenever the bpel sends some input to it, the WSDL has to return some response.

Create a new web project then create a new "Java web service from WSDL"... This will generate the service for you in java... Edit the code to insert the mock data to be returned... Deploy the web project and should be all that you need...

How to create approval for service type document

Hello,
I am trying to create a Approval Query wherein if a Patricular User creates a SERVICE Type AP Invoice then it should go for approval.
I used the query :
SELECT distinct 'TRUE' FROM OPCH T0 INNER JOIN PCH1 T1 ON T0.[DocEntry] = T1.[DocEntry] WHERE T0.[DocType] ='S'
But the problem is that when the above user is making ITEM Type AP Invoice then also its going for approval.

How to sync user for planning from Shared Services

Can anybody please let me know how to sync users for planning from shared services.

You need to expand on your question.
But the basic concept is you create or connect (for LDAP) users in Shared Services. You also create groups as required for these users. Then in shared services you provision those user to Planning applications (directly or indirectly through groups)
Then in Planning you will see users or groups. And in planning you connect them to either members in dimensions or to objects like Forms, Task lists, Business Rules.
There is therefore no such thing as synching Shared Services with Planning.
Note: the 2 steps mentioned above can be done in batch through load utilities.

Could you please explain here the detailed steps (with code example if it's possible) to invoke a webservice from Oracle Applications?.. how did yo do it...?
I've read differents posts here and the 33097.1 metalink note (by the way, the first recommended link in this note is broken...), but there are lots of theorical concepts and no real examples to see how/from where invoke the WS
I'll have to call one webservice (I suppose the customer will give me the interface implementation)...but I've never did it with Applications so that's why I ask you for all the detailed steps...
I work with Forms 6i, Apps 11.5.10.2 and DB 9.2.0.7.

I did using java program to call BPEL web services in 11.5.10.
I pasted below the metalink note for your reference (Note:250964.1)
The idea is first write a java program to call the webservice (in my case it is calling an BPEL web service, so this may not help directly), test it.
Then port the java program as specified in the note, so that you could call your web service through concurrent manager scheduler.
Is this ok?

How to create asynchronous web services in OSB 11g?

Hi,
Using the workbench, when I try to create a web service from an existing WSDL, the workbench automatically uses JAX-WS.
JAX-WS does not offer support for asynchronous web services, since it supports only HTTP ports (@WLJmsTransport does not work).
Request your help in resolving this issue. One way is to use JAX-RPC but I do not know how to configure the workbench to use JAX-RPC instead of JAX-WS.

Since I do not have a VS2012 environment, according to your provided link, I created a test demo with VS2013, however, both ways catch the validation error:
If possible, you could have a try with VS2013 to see if it works or run the example on other machine with VS2012 to see if this is caused by the VS environment, in my side, I do not change any configuration, all are default.

How to create a new connection from SAPGUI to Test drive?

Hi,
I have installed Sap Netweaver Test drive on a linux virtual machine (windows host). The installation was successful and I was able to start the instance (application server and the database), yet I don't know how to create a new connection from my SAPGUI client (7.20) to this server. The static IP address of the server is 192.168.1.160.
I entered the following values for my new connection entry
Description: SAP Netweaver
Application server: 192.168.1.160
Instance number: 01
System ID: DB2
SAProuter: /H/192.168.1.160/S/3201/H/
But it does not work. Any idea about the values needed for creating a new entry?

How to prevent iTunes for Windows from "Updating iTunes Library"?
My library is on a NAS and managed by iTunes on a Mac. I can connect from wife's Windows laptop using iTunes for Windows but every time I do, it Updates iTunes Library. Next time I log in from my Mac it Updates iTunes Library in return. It appears I'm experiencing "Update Wars" between the Mac and Windows versions of iTunes. I would like to allow my wife to stream iTunes songs to her new laptop but I don't want any updates from this source... prefer to manage the library from my Mac and not allow Windows to do any thing other than listen to existing playlists.

Connect the PC to the library on the NAS. Wait while "updated".
Under Edit > Preferences > Advanced make sure the media folder is correctly pointed at the media folder on the NAS. If not correct, close iTunes, wait a few moments, then open iTunes again.
Close iTunes on the PC. Do not open iTunes on the Mac.
Copy the library files, iTunes Library.itl, iTunes Library Extras.itdb, iTunes Library Genius.itdb, sentinel and the folder Album Artwork into an empty iTunes folder on the PC, for example C:\iTunes.
Click the icon to start iTunes and immediately press and hold down SHIFT. Keep holding until prompted to choose or create a library. Click choose and browse to the copied .itl file, e.g. C:\iTunes\iTunes Library.itl
The library should now work properly on the PC, however check the setting for the media folder. If needs be correct, close iTunes and reopen.
Open iTunes on the Mac. It will update again, but that should be last time.

I have created 5 custom maintenance view and have maintained all the views sequencially and have made the first mainenance view as the start view & header entry and all other views are child or subview of the header view in a custom view cluster. But I want a wizard to help the user / end user successfully enter all the required values for all child views, it will help the user to navigate from the start view to all the child views where the fields of the wizard will be associated to the child maintenance views.
Please suggest how to create wizard for view cluster.

When you are in the View Cluster maintenance dialog (SE54) click on dialog "Events".
Below the field for the view cluster you have an additional field <b>FORM routines main program</b>. There you have to add the main program containing the FORM routines called by the VC events.
For example: I had defined a normal report containing an include with all the FORM routines. The report contains only the following lines of coding:
report zus_0120_u1.
* Common Data und access routines for user exits in VC maintenance
include LSVCMCOD.
include zus_0120_f1. "FORM routines for VC events
Now in the "Events" dialog of the view cluster maintenance you assign your FORM routines to the events.

1. First search for a standard search help meeting your requirement .
2. If you don't find one, create your own custom (z) serach help .
( 1 is preferable )
After that, include that serch help to the standard field in the transaction .
For this u need to go to the screen
( F1->F9-> screen-> Field )
Click on the property of the field and include the search help .
You ll require the access key from the basisi guys as u r changing standard .
