Iam a professional photographer and i want to show my portfolio to my clients.When i try to import my photos using itunes they all end up as one album.how do i create seperate albums in ipad2 ?.Kidly advise

You cannot do it directly on the iPad.
If you are using iPhoto or Aperature on your Mac, create separate albums there.
Then select the iPad in iTunes, click the Photos tab across top and select the Albums you want to sync to the iPad.

It still requires that you use a computer to create them. I find this restriction completely baffling but it is what it is and short of jailbreaking your phone there is not a way around it.
I have been using using Mac since at least MacOS 4. However, I find most of the iLife applications too restrictive to my liking. If you like them then you love them. But if you want to do something a little different then you are out of luck.

Just fill in the album & track details like you would for regular music. On the Options tab of *Get Info* set the Media kind to Music Video. Once synced to your iPod you can either listen to audio only by selecting the album from within the Music submenus, or watch the videos by selecting from Videos > Music Videos > Artist.

How to create an album based upon date of importing photos

today i imported over 2000 photos with dates accross three years time frame. how can i create an album based upon the date i imported the photos? or can i.
if not, how would i add these pix to a specific album without going through the whole library some 15,000 photos strong now?

View -> Film Rolls
Each import creates a Roll, so the most recent one's should be easy to find. Select all and make an album from them.

Elements does.
You need to remember that Elements, as well as Photoshop, are
primarily for
graphics. The fact that they can and do create photo albums
is a bonus
really. For the average* user - the html created is not
really intended to
be played with too much. Its possible, but if you want lean
and clean - you
really wouldn't go for an off the shelf solution anyway -
would you?

How to create iTunes album artwork

I'd like to know how to create a 600 X 600 resolution album artwork file for the Cd's that I don't have the artwork for and that I can't find. I woud like to scan them and then create these high resolution images for these.
I know that the 600 X 600 measurement is what the itunes store uses.

The problem that also exists, which I didn't mention, but because of your suggestion i am now, is that the artwork downloaded by iTunes does not appear in the artwork window of the Get Info window. So, only the album artwork i am pasting in there appears.... Very frustrating....

I bought a new iPad2 32 GB(CDMA+WiFi) from US. I registered it with apple and my device is up and running.
And I see that it selects the carrier (vodafone) and the same is listed in the settings and on top left corner of the iPad. But when i try to browse,i get a dailog box, "Could not activate cellular data network, you are not subscribed to a cellular data services", when i try to create data account, it asks me about firstname, lastname and telepone number. How to get telephone number? How to create a data account for cdma iPad2 in India, i don't want use international roaming on it.
My WiFi connection is ON and its working fine.
Let me know, how to activate internet on my device using cellular data in India.

You can't unless there is a provider that uses CDMA netwok at the same frequencies as Verizon in India. There is no GSM sim slot on the CDMA iPad 2. The newer iPads all have a GSM sim slot for use worldwide.

I have created a photobook in iPhoto. Is it possible to now create an album containing all the images in the photobook - the reverse of creating a book from an album of images?

Make a new album in the source column naming it after your book
Highlight the book in the source column
Start at the first page of your book
Drag each image from the book into the new album in the source column.
This can only be done one by one. I have tried "selecting all" and it does not work.

We are currently in the middle of a server migration - from Oracle AppServer to the Sun AppServer 8.1. In Oracle it was possible to create seperate containers which had the same i-net address and same port(Called OC4J Instances). These containers were able to start and stop seperatly.(The reason for this is that we have many applications running and if some problems arise we don't need to stop the whole Container/Server)
I tried different solutions:
- create a new domain --> Port has to be not the same
- create an instance --> Port has to be not the same
- create a virtual server --> domain name has to change
i also thought about a special config for http listners
but didn't get to a point jet.
pls help me -- i'm sure it is possible

To anwer you questions from previous posting:
1. Yes you have to deploy all of your apps on all instances known to the loadbalancer. This is becasue all of the request comming to the load balancer can be routed to any of these instances.
2. To insure that you don't run two different versions of you application in the cluster you can quiese single appserver instance or any given application before update. See following doc for more info.

One additional note: To upgrade you application in Sun AS8.1 you don't need to shut it down as it supporst dynamic application deployment. This may be all you need... that is If you don't want any of the High availability features that LB gives you .

How to create an Album but not have the photos in the main library

We have some personal pictures of our kids birth and want to create a private folder and place the photos in that folder and then delete them from the main library. So when we show friends etc our photo collection they don't see these private photos.
However when we move photos into our private album they re-appear in the main library!!... how do we get around this?

Steve, it sure is possible.
First gather up all the photos and put them in an album, then Share>export the album to newly created folder on the desktop.
close iPhoto.
Hold down the Option key and launch iPhoto. Keep the Option key held down until you see a message window.
Choose to create a new library and name the library.
Now import the album on the desktop.
to switch between libraries use the Option key at at launch.
When you launch iPhoto holding down the Option key this is the window you will get.
Create a new library or choose a library to open
Choose to create a new library if that is what you want to do, or choose a library to open by clicking the "choose" button.
If you click the "create library" iPhoto will open with a brand new library for you to import images to. If you click "choose" then you will get this window.
Open library
Navigate to where the library is on your computer, highlight it, then clcik the "open" button.

On iTunes for Mac, in the albums section, I have lots of individual songs entitled 'Track 01' and so on. What I would like to do, is to combine all these songs into one album, so I can get rid of all the individual files. I have already tried creating a playlist, but this has done nothing to get rid of the original song flies cluttering up my iTunes.

Select all the songs you want in one album.
Right click - get info.
Change Album to what you want. (such as Patone's Songs - Album 1)
Note that you will lose the Album info currently on all these songs.

It's just simple as creating an event/album in the iPhoto, with the photos you would like to have in your iPhone.
Then, on iTunes you chose to synchronise with the iPhone that specific photo event/albun, instead of all the library.
And that's it!
