How to default Sysdate in Advance table region on clicking Add Another Row

1.) U can create a new custom OAAdvanced table under a custom region using JDeveloper.
2.) Create stack layout bean using personalization on the page ,and in extend property of StackLayoutBean mention the complete path of above custom region .

Issue in Advance Table Region - Plz help!

I have a custom page in which I am using a advanced table region.
The issue is this that the value in advanced table row [Two Fields are there both are MessageTextInput] is getting populated automatically as the page render. Is this is seeded functionality of advanded table???
If you how to overcome this..
I have to display row with no value i.e blank. I got to know that if the attribute which is attached to the column of row has value then it show on frontend automatically and if i delete the row then i got it blank.

IF the values in present in the underlying table, then it will appear in the advanced table as well due to the VO that you are using.
To create a blank row. You will have to create a new row in the VO and set it as the current row.
If u want it to be done automatically. You can do this:
1. select your advancedTable region and choose New--> footer
2. Select the tableFooter and then right click and select New-- > addTableRow
3. in the addTableRow item that u just created in step 2 , u can play around with the properties. For auto row insertion, without writing any code set the Insert Rows Automatically property to true and change the Rows to Add property to change the number of blank rows added. The default is 1

Total in advance table region

hi all,
i have one advance table region with total.
in advance table region displays records(ex my advance table region displays 5 records).
every number field display the total(this total calculate 5 records data)
ex:
1000
2000
3000
4000
5000
total 15000
my page work like above senario.
but my client requirement is,in 5 records he select any two records and display the 2 records total.
how to achive this

Deleting Row from Advanced Table Region

Dear Members,
I have an OAF Page where I am using Advanced Table Region to display the data of a table.
As soon as the page opens I am displaying one line in Advanced Table Region. In this region I have also given a button called ADD ANOTHER ROW +(using the feature of ADVANCED TABLE COMPONENTS, FOOTER, TABLE FOOTER , ADD TABLE ROW)+.
So when user clicks on this button a new row will be added. Now if user wants to delete it how to achieve this.
Kindly please help me in achieving this functionality.

Hi Arun,
First you need to create a button or image called Delete on your Advanced table region.
Action Type : firePartialAction
Event: delete
Then In your CO PFR , write the below code

There is a very small difference between these two when you will create dependent LOV in Table or Advanced table the all the FormValue items to store ids which will be used as crieteria map or return items should be created inside table/Advanced table region.

Sorting issue in Advance table region

Facing issue in sorting.
I have an advance table region , I have set the property
Sort Allowed : Yes ; Sort By View Attribute : View attribute Name
This is working for all the columns but it is failing for date columns.
Data is not getting sorted for date columns.
Output format of Date is : 09-Feb13 09:08:01
Please help.

Advanced table Add another row

Hello everyone,
I have created an advanced table region in my custom page. This is not a mandatory region in my page but there are other fields which are mandatory in the page. Right now i am unable to add another row in the advanced table unless all the other mandatory fields in the page are given some values.
Is there any way to comeout of this situation.

I marked that this thread is answered answered but i have one more question relating to the same type of issue and thought of continuing this thread. It would be great if any one can give a suggestion.
In the Advanced table, i have a delete button(its of type image) for which i have disabled the client and server side validations and implemented PPR for that button. Now when i click on the delete, the page moves up after deleting the row and i don't want that.
How should i handle this situation?

i am having trouble with adding another row in the advanced table, the first thing is that i have created an add another row in the footer but when i click the add button an error occurs and the other problem is that the advenced table is retrieving rows from the database with some data in it but what i want when i add another row is to add a row in the same table but with the fields empty so that the user can fill them by himself to be added to the same table in the database

this is the exact senario i have a page called TasksPG which have a region pageLayout it has a child which is an advanced table its ID is TasksTable and this advanced table has 8 columns and a footer that contains an addTableRow1 what i just want to do is to add another row of these columns so i put the following code in the processFormRequest

Advance table Add another row button error ---Error: Cannot Display Page

hi, i m new to OAF.
I m trying to add new row programatically to my advanced table, but getting the error
Error: Cannot Display Page
You cannot complete this task because one of the following events caused a loss of page data:
Your login session has expired.
A system failure has occurred.
My page has two EOs with two differnt tables Table A(Accident details) and Table B(Victim Details).Table A is Parent of Table B.No relation is defined in my page for these two tables so far.Foreign key is not defined.
On my page I have various field for entering data for Table A and its saving data properly
For table B i have taken the Advanced table.When i click on Add row button of table i m getting the said error.

How to add another row dynamically in Adobe Forms ?

Hello All,
Can someone advise on how am I able to add another row to my table upon the click of a button in Adobe Form ?
Based on some sample PDFs that I downloaded from the net as reference, it seems that all I need to do is add the statment "_Car.addInstance(1)" in the script editor that will trigger upon a clicking of a button where Car is a subform that is of Type : Flow Content and Direction : Table Row set.
Any suggestion/advise will be greatly appreciated.

Be aware, though, that while you are able to add any number of additional lines on the PDF, the original Web Dynpro context is not aware of these actions. This means that your application needs to create the corresponding new nodes in the context before the data contained in these nodes can be submitted back to the application.

How to refresh MessageChoice in advanced table on LOV change?

I have an advanced table for data entry. One column has Employee Name, which is an LOV. Another column is a MessageChoice, listing eligible elements for that person. Everything works fine when the page is first loaded. This is the code I'm using in processRequest to set up the MessageChoice: The MessageChoice is set up using a PicklistViewDefinition (not instance) as each row has to have different selections.

The problem is when a new row is added, initially the poplist will be empty, which is expected. After choosing a value from the Employee LOV, the AssignmentId (which is a FormValue) will be populated. At this point, I need the Poplist to refresh to get the correct list of elements. I'm not sure how to make the poplist refresh. In ProcessFormRequest, I have:

And it prints the correct lov source. The dev guide says you can invoke an AM method there... but what should the AM do? I'm not sure how to refresh a poplist for a specific row when it is defined in an advanced table with Bound container columns, using a picklist view definition.

I looked through that thread, but nothing in there seemed to really directly address my problem. The solutions in there seemed to be to make view instances instead of using the bound container columns.
But, to answer my own question, I think I found the solution, which so far seems to be working ok...

Which basically just refreshes the page so all the MessageChoice fields are re-populated based on the latest information in the row. No need to automatically re-execute any VOs and let's OAF do it's own thing to maintain them.
