How to define a specific report variant execution in Area Menu

For report REP01, for exemple, with a selection screen, I defined a variant with specific options, named VAR_SPEC1, to be used by a certain group of persons.
Now I created the Area Menu ZMSPEC1, and I need to associate to it an entry to execute program REP01 via variant VAR_SPEC01. How can I do it?
I saw that the program REP01 already has already defined a report transaction (ZEXREP01, for ex.), but if I use this transaction in the Area Menu, I will not use my variant...
I was looking to the different types of transactions that can be defined, but I am a bit lost.

I am still a bit lost about the easier (or better) way to associate to the new Area Menu the execution of a non-local program with selection-screen, using some predefined options (hidding some fields, predefining others...).
Can someone be more specific?
I guess the necessary elements are:
1) non-local program REP01;
2) core report variant VAR_DEFAULT, for program above.
3) new local variant VAR_SPEC1, for program in 1)
4) ...
5) ... some solution to link both parts...
6) ...
7) Area Menu ZMSPEC1, with a new item to call the execution of REP01 with variant VAR_SPEC1.

    Maybe you could play with the GET PARAMETER ID ...
    Or maybe you could create a program that start the real program after selecting the default variant of the user. After you call the program with this variant.

    In CRXI it is now always the windows folder "own documents..." How is it possible to set my own path??

    As I understand you want to store the exported reports at a specified location so that you donu2019t need to specify it for each time
    In CR XI we can not provide the specific path to export the report however if you select the destination as Disc file then the exported file will be stored on the disk at a specified location. Windows remember this location. . Next time when you try to export to Disc File you will be automatically pointed to the same location.

    Hi,
    In reports input Screen you have this option,
    In selection screen you can find, Save as a New varient, give some name and save , don't select Save as User Varient and save it.
    Note: Check with the select Save as User Varient & Use as default Varient options.

  • How to define table specific QUERY in parameter file for Export Utility

    Hi All
    I am trying to create A SINGLE parameter file for export utility. I have 2 tables and want to use a different QUERY condition for each of these tables. However i do not want to create 2 seperate parameter files for this and run/script exp twice.
    Is there a way to do it ?
    NOTE: I am using normal export utility for Version 9 and NOT oracle data pump.
    Following is an example of what i want to achive in parameter file:
    Tables = (TabA,TabB)
    # for table - TabA
    QUERY = "where id =25"
    #for table - TabB
    QUERY = " where court_id=54 and id >1"
    Please advice on syntax of parameter file so that exp knows that it has to process 1st condition for only TabA and second condition for TabB.
    Any samples/syntax examples are greately appreciated.

    No there is no such alternative. Query condition is applicable to all the tables listed in TABLES parameter.

  • How to do a specific report

    Hello!
    I have an assignment to do.
    In my dashboard page I have a time prompt with this format (25/06/2011) and I want to do a chart with axis X with all days of month of my prompt. I mean, if user select in page prompt (25/06/2011) I should see in my chart all days of that month (from 01/06 to 30/06). Is possible to get this with any variable or something??

    Another way is to create another analysis with a filter on your date field "as prompted". Then create a column in this analysis in the criteria tab TIMESTAMPADD(SQL_TSI_DAY, (DAYOFMONTH(Date field)*-1)+1, Date field) as your "month start date" field, and another as TIMESTAMPADD(SQL_TSI_DAY,DAYOFMONTH(Date Field)*-1,TIMESTAMPADD(SQL_TSI_MONTH, 1, Date Field)) as your "month end date".
    Then in your dashboard graph analysis create a filter on your date field based on the previous analysis greater than or equal to the "month start date" field, and another filter based on the previous analysis less than or equal to the "month end date" field.

  • HST50: Unix - How Headstart calls forms and reports uppercase/lowercase from a Menu

    We are migrating a 'in production' Headstart generated application from Windows to Unix.
    We had to a little time in setting the lowercase implementation names, setting the prefs to generate lowercase file.....
    So good so far. When testing the application on Unix, all files are lowercase, the Forms start without a problem but the Reports won't start.... Renaming the report files to uppercase works fine.
    Going through the Headstart code for calling Forms and Reports I noticed the following:
    When calling Forms the qmslib50.qms$form.call procedure is invoked. In this procedure the follwoing statement is used:
    l_form_name := lower(p_form_name) So only lowercase will be found....
    For calling Reports from the Lauch Report Form the qms0012l.qms$report.run procedure is invoked.
    This procedure calls fill_par_list where the l_module_name is set. But in this procedure no uppercase or lowercase is used......
    Not consequent I think !!
    Is this done for a specific reason ?
    PS: Change qms0012l and it works fine.

    cannot use run_report_object here cause I cannot create a report object in menu (like how we can do it in forms).
    Create a generic named Report node in the forms that you reference from the RunReport object request. This way you can run Reports from a menu

    I need some help with regard to the impdp. I have table which is corrupted and the information of corrupted rows is also available with me now i need to exclude those rows in specific and import the other error free rows.

    but import is running for  more than one day but the size of table is huge around 600GB.

    In your sub reports, you also have to suppress the values (report labels,headings etc) using a formula.
    Go in Report Menu--Section Expert--Suppress -- Formula editor and write the follwoing :
    if Count({Yoursubreportfield)}) > 0 then false else true
    This will suppress your headers and footers or any other secitons which has static information.
    Now in the main report go in section expert and check 'Suppress Blank Sections'
    Also check you have applied New Page before or After for any of your sections.

  • How to reset Firefox Health Report uptime stats which are too larger than what it should be

    I'm on the latest Firefox beta channel and up to date to the date.
    In about:healthreport page, I'm seeing a wrong count of time under "time open": http://i.imgur.com/XdlB17q.png
    This is almost 4 years that I can't keep firefox open in this month (I'm sure I didn't waste 4 years of my life on the web either).
    Is there any way to reset this count ? Seems like a really useful feature but not working fine for me.

    I have no idea how Firefox works out the date used in FHR . No doubt Tyler will comment later.
    I would hazard a guess that it may look at the date of creation/modification of the files possibly the date of modification of the profile folder. Whatever it is doing it may be doing it wrong. (I don't think Tyler has filed a bug yet. He probably works Monday to Friday
    I guess it would do no harm to look at your file dates. See if any look wrong and as if they may explain the unexpected time period.

    We copy all the user data and authorizations from SU01 but then we must
    copy too all the other user-dependent things. One of them are user-
    specific report layouts. We can copy the report variants because they
    are not user-dependent but is there any way to copy the user-specific
    layouts (table LTDX) from one user to another? Is there any transaction
    or report for it?
