  • AD connector on OIM 11g

    Hi experts
    I am trying to install AD connector on OIM 11g. However, when i run the installation, the first two steps i.e,
    Configuration of Connector Libraries and
    Import of Connector XML files
    complete successfully, however, the third step "Compilation of Adapter Definitions" takes really long time and eventually fails.
    the server logs are as under :-

    I have checked the data source for connection through weblogic console and the connection test of mds-oim is successful.
    can anyone please help me out here?
    OIM is 11.1.1.3 and Connector is 9.1.1.5.0
    Best Regards

    Sir
    i tried out wireshark and well the ip and port filter show that the machine is infact talking to the right DB. but the problem still remains the same. i am once again pasting the complete trace of exception, if you could help me out here. i have installed OIM on a virtual machine. could that be the issue? although it gave me no issue while installing and while creating users / organizations in it.
    the error trace is as under :-

  • How setup LDAP Sync After Install in OIM 11g  ver, 11.1.1.5.0

    Hi guys, I'm trying to find how to setup LDAP Sync After Install in OIM 11g (ver, 11.1.1.5)....
    I found on Metalink an interesting article "*How to Setup LDAP Sync After Install in OIM 11g [ID 1272682.1]*", but inside there is a Note that says:
    Note: This article is applicable to OIM version 11.1.1.3 only. Steps for 11.1.1.5 are not the same, and product manual has documented steps to setup LDAP sync after install.
    So, that the steps for 11.1.1.5 are not the same, it's clear.....
    and I tried to look for these steps in the manual:
    Oracle® Fusion Middleware Quick Installation Guide for Oracle Identity Management
    11g Release 1 (11.1.1)
    Part Number E10033-06
    but I didn't still find nothing for the specific 11.1.1.5.0 version....only for the 11.1.1.3.0 version
    Can anyone help me to find where these steps are ? I need this information as soon as possible ti start the development
    Thanks in advance for the help
    Alex

    If you are creating Before and After Create Opeation script, you would be able to access all the variables in the process form. Now obvious question, what are the names of these variables? The answer is: the name of the variable is same as that mentioned in the "decode" column of the provisioning attribute map lookup or in other words, the variable name is same as the AD attribute name. In the example mentioned in the documentation, the variable "%givenName% was used in the script. On the similar lines you can use other variables like "sn", "samAccountName", etc.
    Hope the information helps.

  • Cloning OIM 11g environment

    Dear All,
    I need to clone non-prod environment. Are there a shortcut steps to achieve this?
    Adam suggested steps for OIM 9.x http://idmrockstar.com/blog/2011/08/oim-refresh-clone-between-environments/
    But these steps will not work for OIM 11g.....
    I appreciate your time and help
    Kind Regards
    Maria

    Hey Maria,
    yes , we have one metalink article related only of OIM 10G(Note 555655.1).
    But if you merge it with this(http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E15586_01/core.1111/e10105/testprod.htm) you should be good to go. Some difference are 3 schemas on 11g and 10g has one and the way OIM is mounted.
    I hope this really helps you,
    Thiago Leoncio.

  • How to delete System / System Connector  in VIRSA CC ??

    We have implemented VIRSA with 1 System Landscape. i.e for VIRSA we have only one system.
    Our VIRSA version is 5.1.
    Currently our VIRSA is configured  with 2 DEV + 2 QTY + 2 PRD ABAP systems.
    i.e VIRSA is having now 6 ABAP Systems for analysis.
    As we aware in 5.1 Batch Risk Analysis can not be run for 1 system.
    we have to run Batch Risks Analysis for all systems - it is taking everytime 72 Hours to compete the same.
    During 72 Hours any system has any problem / connection / restart / any thing happens. The batch risk analysis goes into "ERROR".
    In this corner - we want to remove DEV & QA Systems from VIRSA.
    How we can do that??
    When we are trying to delte the Connectors of respective Systems.
    we are getting the following message
    " com.virsa.cc.rulearchitect.dao.DAOException: Cannot delete connector as there are entries related to this connector in the system. "
    How can we delete the Connectors in a standard way. if it can not be delted in stnadard way , what is the work around ??
    Rgds
    Edited by: B Jyothi on May 11, 2009 5:50 AM

    Hi.. Experts
    If we would like to delete the connectors,
    we can do it manually from database.
    You can use attached deletion script which needs to be run at database level.
    and restart the instance which very much mandatory
    +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
    Note : SAP never recommends to use deletion script on Production Server.
    +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
    IMPORTANT Note 1 -
    +++++++++++++++++++
    This script will delete EVERYTHING related to a connector
    including rules, mitigations, management reports, etc.
    Therefore, Customer are doing this on their own accord.
    In order to delete the (CC) data, you would have to run a
    deletion script against the database tables.
    However, this is not the recommended best practice especially
    in a production environment.
    In doing so this may cause data inconsistencies and may render your
    application unstable. Therefore, please be advised that by using the
    script you are doing this at your own accord and SAP Support will not
    be responsible for any loss of data consequent to the application of the
    script and SAP cannot support an unstable application.
    The script will be provided only upon request. Again, please be aware that
    execution of this script is recommended only in a non productive environment.
    It is also recommended that you take a backup of the database prior to
    executing the script.
    IMPORTANT Note 2 -
    +++++++++++++++++++
    Please involve your DBA to run the attached scripts on the Java Database
    where you have the CC 5.x Installed. Since you want to delete the data
    for a particular connector,
    kindly replace the '&1' in the script
    for VSYSKEY with the SID of the Connector.
    Note:
    +++++++++++++++++++
    The Management reports will also be removed after you run the script
    andyou will have to re-run the Management Update Jobs for the exisiting
    connectors, to make sure that you have the accurate results in the
    graphs.
    PLEASE USE THIS SCRIPT ONLY ON YOUR OWN RISK. STILL WE HAVE A COMPLETE BACKUP
    WE HAVE NO RISK; TAKE BACKUP & TAKE A CHANCE RUNNING THIS SCRIPT.

  • How to delete Users or Organinzations from oim

    Hi,
    I have deleted some users as well as organizations in OIM, and I got the message that they are successfully deleted.
    But when I try to reconile the same user from csv file using GTC connector or create the deleted organization from OIM I am getting the Error that user already exists and Organization cannot be created
    Do we have a way to completely delete the users or organizations
    Please help me

    This may be due to user logins are same for deleted user and newly coming user. Go to system properties and reuse use login property to true and retry reconciliation.
    Else
    You can remove from database but it'll be tedious as you would need to delete all reference as well.

  • How to delete old resource objects in OIM

    I'm working with OIM Version: 9.1.0.1866.70 and I've recently been told that we are not going to be using a certain resource object anymore.  I've looked and gone through the design console but I don't see any option for deleting an entire resource.  Is there even a way to delete a resource in OIM?  I can turn off self-requestable but our numerous provisioning admins will still have the ability to grant the defunct resource.  Is this available in a later version of OIM?

    Hi,
    This is a forum for discussion about application development in C/C++/Fortran. I think you want to raise your question in a forum about identity management. This one looks more promising:

  • How to display Checkbox instead dropdown in OIM 11g using request dataset

    Hello,
    I am trying to display as check boxes instead of dropdown in requestor screen using request dataset.
    It still shows dropdown. Here is my request dataset.
    Is there anything wrong??
    <?xml version='1.0' encoding='UTF-8'?>
    <request-data-set xmlns="http://www.oracle.com/schema/oim/request" xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance" operation="PROVISION" entity="ACCOUNTING CONTROL" name="ProvisionResourceACCOUNTING CONTROL" xsi:schemaLocation="http://www.oracle.com/schema/oim/request">
    <AttributeReference available-in-bulk="true" length="20" widget="*checkbox*" type="*Boolean*" attr-ref="Instance" name="Instance" required="true">
    <lookupValues encoded-value="Dev" decoded-value="ACCOUNTING CONTROL (DEV)"/>
    <lookupValues encoded-value="QA" decoded-value="ACCOUNTING CONTROL (QA)"/>
    <lookupValues encoded-value="PRD" decoded-value="ACCOUNTING CONTROL (PRD)"/>
    </AttributeReference>
    </request-data-set>
    Thanks!!!

    What are you trying to achieve here? If you are using checkboxes than you can't have multiple options to it but would rather have to put static values.
    Something like:
    <AttributeReference name="Field1" attr-ref="Dev" available-in-bulk="false" type="Boolean" length="30" widget="checkbox" required="false"/>
    <AttributeReference name="Field2" attr-ref="QA" available-in-bulk="false" type="Boolean" length="30" widget="checkbox" required="false"/>
    <AttributeReference name="Field3" attr-ref="PRD" available-in-bulk="false" type="Boolean" length="30" widget="checkbox" required="false"/>
    AFAIK OIM does not allow for a multiselect box in dataset.

    I have a business requirement wherein, I need to retrieve a field's value inside my SOA composite for further processing and decide on the Approver of the Request. Say for e.g. I'm having a field *"Country"* inside my Request Form, and what i need to do is, as soon as the request form is submitted, I need to retrieve the value for *"Country"* attribute inside my SOA Composite using Payload, and further process it. This scenerio is with respect to provision an application instance to a user.
    Now, in a similar scenario, where I was trying to create a user of type *"Contractor"*, I had used Request Service Api to retrieve the Basic information of the userform submitted, and decide on approval. Fortunately, the basic data like, First Name, Last Name, Login etc was successfully being fetched from the Request and I was able to perform further operations.
    Unfortunately, the same code which was working for Creation of a User, is not working when I'm trying to provision an application instance to the user.
    Below is the code which worked fine for me to retrieve basic request data for user creation, and isn't working for provisioning application instance:
    RequestService reqSvc = (RequestService)oimClient.getService(RequestService.class);
    String reqId = ((oracle.xml.parser.v2.XMLElement)getVariableData("inputVariable", "payload", "/ns3:process/ns4:RequestID")).getText();
    System.out.println("request ID: " reqId);+
    Request req = reqSvc.getBasicRequestData(reqId);
    List <RequestEntity> targetEntities = req.getTargetEntities();
    System.out.println("targetEntities : " targetEntities);+
    System.out.println("------------");
    for (RequestEntity rea : targetEntities)
    +{+
    List <RequestEntityAttribute> attributes = rea.getEntityData();
    for( oracle.iam.request.vo.RequestEntityAttribute attribute : attributes)
    +{+
    System.out.println("Attribute.getName() : " attribute.getName().toString());+
         if(attribute.getName().equals("User Manager"))
         +{+
    beneficiaryManagerKey = attribute.getValue().toString();
         System.out.println("User Manager : " beneficiaryManagerKey);+
    +}+
         e+lse if(attribute.getName().equals("User Login"))+
         +{+
    userid = attribute.getValue().toString();
         System.out.println("User Login  : " userid);+
    +}+
    +}+
    +}+
    Any pointers to this would be of a great help.
    Regards

    List <RequestEntity> targetEntities = req.getTargetEntities();
    System.out.println("targetEntities : " + targetEntities);
    System.out.println("------------");
    The above piece of code retrieves the attributes and their values from the request form while creating a user, but not from the request form, which provisioning a resource to a user.
    Regards,
