Could you let me know how to delete the videos in Ipod application in my Iphone 4 to release more space ?

If you don't want the video on your iphone then uncheck the video in itunes and sync your phone. If you want it removed from both the phone and itunes delete it from itunes and sync your phone.

There is a similar setting for Videos on that Settings screen, so if you leave that 'on' you may have similar happening in the Videos app

Replying to my own post - heh. I downloaded iExplorer (http://www.macroplant.com/iexplorer/) which allowed me access to the files on the phone and there was the phantom movie in the DCIM folder. Deleted it, and all is well - although I still have 0.65gb of Other in iTunes.....

Generally we can delete the data in the request for the data of year 2003 from request tab in manage screen of datatarget. This can be done only when we are sure that that particular request/s belongs to 2003 year data.
This can be better handled with selective deletion of data for year 2003 with some keyfields like 0CALMONTH etc..
This is infact only way when you have already compressed the data in Infocube.

Sorting by ARTIST not the same in iPod and iTunes?

In iTunes/Windows, I insert a CD consisting of a compilation by various people as ARTIST='Various artists' and ALBUM ARTIST='whatever-singer'. Sorting by ARTIST shows the CD under the group 'Various artists', with each song corresponding to 'whatever-singer'. The iTunes library creates a folder for 'Various artists' with the CD name and all the songs inside.
Transfering to the iPod and selecting ARTIST, lists instead all the 'whatever-singer' as separate items, rather than the 'Various artists' name used in iTunes.
Any suggestion to make the iPod terminology compatible with iTunes?. Thanks

Mark it as a compilation then. It will show up as one album, at the end of coverflow but NOT under artists, unless you have a "regular" non compilation album by the artist. Unfortunately all of your, for example, Bryan Adams music would not be together - Albums in alphabetical order, compilations at the end. Another way to work around this would be to add the guests name to the individual song titles, such as "We're In Heaven (Feat. whoever)". This involves renaming the tracks, and deleting the "Featuring" name from the artist, but the album will only show up once. This is the most annoying thing about coverflow - an album is not a compilation because it has 2 guests on it - but the ipod thinks it is. My opinion is that if I would sort it with an artists other albums in my CD collection, I should be able to do so in my ipod...without creating 4 covers because of guests on an album. I really hope this is addressed in the future!

There is also a manual method of accessing the iPod's hard drive and copying songs back to iTunes on Windows or a Mac. The procedure is a bit involved and won't recover playlists but if you're interested it's available at this link: Two-way Street: Moving Music Off the iPod
I would also advise that you get yourself an external hard drive and back your stuff up, relying on an iPod as your sole backup is not a good idea and external drives are comparatively inexpensive these days, you can get loads of storage for a reasonable outlay.

How do solve the compatibility between windows and itunes?

I can not sign out of itunes from the library.. I click store tab in the library the sign out. the tab turns black and freezes up. I have to shut down and restart .

you have to transport the KM Content separatly.
The procedure is documented here:

When you automated the transport with CTS+ it might be possible to synchronize the transport of the PCD-Objects and the KM-Content (I have not tried this myself actually ...)

Launch iTunes. Remove the songs you do not want from the list of music you will sync. When you get only the songs you want selected in iTunes, re-sync your iPod nano with your iTunes and the song will go away.

I have followed the instructions to delete from the macbook, I selected the videos I wanted to delete and right clicked to delete. Nothing happens. When I double click on the video it still starts playing. I also followed the instructions to delete the videos from the iphone by swiping from left to right with nothing happening. I opened the videos on the ipad and there is no edit selection like in the instructions on the support page. I've met the problem too before. but i solved it with Audio Converter Mac instead of iMovie. If you have similar situation that just want to keep audio but not video, and if your file format is not workable in iMovie, you can use the Audio Converter for help too. it can easily help to extract audio soundtrack from any video format. Or if you need to convert one audio format to another, it is a good choice too, because it supports many common audio output formats.
