Check the JDeveloper online help for deployment instructions - there is a full chapter on delpoying J2EE applications.
The Reviewer Guide also has a chapter about deploying - http://www.oracle.com/technology/products/jdev/collateral/papers/10g/reviewer/reviewerguide.html

How to run BC4J JSP programs generated by JDeveloper 9i?
I used JDeveloper 9i to:
Create a new Project Workspace
Create New Business Components
Click on Run, Run Project
The Java application works perfectly alright.
Click on New, BC4J JSP, Business Components JSP Application
Then a full set of JSP source code is generated based on the Business Components Java Application.
Right-click on main.html, Run main.html
I can see that deployment of the JSP programs is OK but the Internet Explorer does not start the main.html.
I enter address: http://localhost:8988/ in Internet Explorer and can see that OC4J is running.
I would like to enter the path of the deployed JSP program.
How can I know what is the path of the URL?I have change the settings in tools->preferences to point to the right location, i.e.
C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\IEXPLORE.EXE
Internet Explorer does not start after it shows:

But, How to run this JSP?

Plz let me know
where should I put this JSP? (I am using Tomcat server)
Is there any need to enter data into web.xml similar to Servlet?
Is there any need to set some environmental variables etc etc...
Hope a quick respone.

How to deploy a JSP with jsp:plugin with applet type?
Hi,
I am a new comer for JSP and when to try to a simple JSP with plugin for applet. Following is part of my JSP script:
<jsp:plugin type="applet" code="DigitalClock" align="center" height="25" width="300"
>
<jsp:params>
<jsp:param name="language" value="<%=request.getLocale().getLanguage()%>" />
<jsp:param name="country" value="<%=request.getLocale().getCountry()%>" />
<jsp:param name="bgcolor" value="FFFFFF" />
<jsp:param name="fgcolor" value="CC0066" />
</jsp:params>
<jsp:fallback>
<p>Unable to start plugin.</p>
</jsp:fallback>
</jsp:plugin>
===========
And Java plugin tell me that can't find DigitalClock class. I want to ask how to deply this JSP using deploytool.
Thanks,
WiseHi
It should be in such a way,
The Jsp:param is similar to PARAM used in Applet.
<jsp:plugin type="applet"
code="MyApplet.class"
width="475" height="350"
<jsp:params>
<jsp:param name = "PARAM1" value="VALUE1" />
</jsp:params>
</jsp:plugin>
jsp:fallback Element
It provides alternate text to browsers that do not Support OBJECT or EMBED. You can use this element in the same way as you provide alternate text in your applet.
<jsp:fallback>
<b> Error: This example requires java </b>
</jsp:fallback>
</jsp:plugin>
I hope this will help you.
Thanks

How to deploy a jsp app as portlet in portal?
i'm a new bee to this portal & portlet stuff.
so, pls let me know if my questions doesn't make sense.
i have a jsp app sitting in jdeveloper 9.0.3
can i deploy this jsp app as portlet and see it from
my portal?
sriniHi Benjamin.
Can u explain more detail about the deployment..
I also use JDev and want to do like you do (that is deploy to 9iAS using JDev.
I tried to create new connection via Remote DCM..
but it gave me error.
I also read & tried the article that u suggested..
but still failed..
So, my questions are:
1)In step one, where in EM should i install Oc4jDcmServlet.ear? in OC4J_Portal(the same place i deploy jpdk)?
"Install the DCM Servlet, Oc4jDcmServlet.ear, to a running Oracle Enterprise Manager instance. This servlet is required to run in the same OC4J instance (same JVM) as the Enterprise Manager servlet. The DCM Servlet is located in:
<jdev_install>/dcm/lib/Oc4jDcmServlet.ear "
2)I download JDev into my drive C.
and i did found /dcm/lib/Oc4jDcmServlet.ear
I not sure what to type..and where should i run the command..
In the article,it run from c:\winnt\system32\cmd.exe.
But when i ty to run it, it gave me error
"Exception in thread "main" java.util.zip.ZipException: The system cannot find th
e path specified

at java.util.zip.ZipFile.<init>(Unknown Source)
at java.util.jar.JarFile.<init>(Unknown Source)
at java.util.jar.JarFile.<init>(Unknown Source)"
should i run the command in the server?Where?
What command should i type?
Java -jar ${ORACLE_HOME}/j2ee/home/admin.jar ormi://${EM_OC4J_HOST}:${EM_OC4J_PORT} ${IAS_ADMIN_USER} ${IAS_ADMIN_PASS} -deploy -file Oc4jDcmServlet.ear -deploymentName Oc4jDcmServlet "

How to deploy a JSP page into my APEX application?
hi all,
i am using a JSP to upload multiple spreadsheets into the db. i want to deploy it on the APEX and use it as part of my APEX application's uploading feature.
i already have the JSP file with me. can somebody please tell me how to put that onto the APEX?
Thanks,
BasavarajOne way using JSP portal is, creating Portal project with JSP Dynpage applications
You can use NWDS tool to create JSP Dynpage based Portal components.
Procedure to create and deploy Portal components,
1. Open Enterprise Portal Perspective in NWDS
2. Create -> new Portal Project -> Give the valid name
3. Right click on the project -> Choose Portal Object -> JSP Dynpage -> Give all the information including JSP name. -> Finish
4. Right Click on the project structure -> Properties -> Java Build Path -> All the following jars
htmlb, com.sap.portal.html_api.jar, servlet
5. Navigate to your JSP page located under the folder PORTAL-INF, Write logic
6. Right click on the portal projet-> Refresh -> Re-Build
7. Right Click on the portal project -> Export -> Give the Valid Portal serverdetails, Admin user name and password
8. You can create iView (iView from PAR) in content admin for the developed portal component

How to deploy custom JSP file in reporting and analysis workspace extented services?
Hi All,
We are using Oracle EPM 11.2.3 Interactive reporting. We need add on functionality on the existing workspace and developed a JAVA code for that. Now we are facing challenges with deploying JSP file with existing weblogic server. does anybody did it before? we followed oracle doc but not useful.
The task of JSP file would get the user information from the existing session then list the file which user has access and follow.
Do we have any doc related to this? Your help is highly appreciated.
Thanks
VenkateshHi,
After deployed inside the OC4J server. Run the index page by
Calling like http://hostname:port/earname/index.jsp
While deploying the ear file you would have given a name for the ear file use that name in the URL.
If so then you can see the provider displayed on the index page. Then click on the provider name it will take you to the next page where it will display all the portlet inside the provider.
Please copy the URL and paste it while registering the Provider with the portal server.
Because the server will try to navigate to the URL mentioned while registering if the server dint find the proper URL then registration fails.
Try this and let me know.
Regards,
Vijay.B -
hi how to develop the html and jsp 's using eclipse IDE what are the steps to follow inorder to develop and run the jsp's using Eclipse IDE
Eclipse cannot do that. You need an application server for that. Best what you can do is to integrate that application server in Eclipse using a plugin and run the application server from within Eclipse. There are lot of tutorials available about that. You can find them at www.eclipse.org and wiki.eclipse.org.

How to create and deploy a JSP which calls a BPEL process in JDEVELOPER
Hi Gurus,
I don't know how to create a JSP in JDEVELOPER which call a BPEL process. I have gone through the tutorials. Since, I am new to JDEVELOPER I need some help.
1. How to create a JSP (I know creating application and project, also I know JSP coding)
2. How to deploy this JSP?
3. For the Synchronos BPEL project, the build.xml is created automatically, in this forum, I see people talking about ear war .deploy etc. How do we get them automatically created. Or do we need to create them manually. If it has to be manual some sample scripts would be of great help.
Any help in this regard would be really great.
Thanks in advance,
Sankar.I found the following tutorial which clearly explains how to deploy J2EE apps.
http://www.oracle.com/technology/obe/obe1013jdev/deployment/deployment.htm
I created a simple jsp file in a project, followed the steps in the tutorial and it got deployed onto: http://localhost:9700
For invoking BPEL process through JSP, I have reused the jsp files available in : 102.InvokingProcesses\jsp and changed the processes and input accordingly.
Please post me a query in this thread, if any of you want any specific details.

E911 CsLisSubnet and subnet mask
When adding a CsLisSubnet how do you specify the subnet mask? It appears only an IP is given, how does it know how much of the network provided to use? For example in the case of 10.0.1.0/23 would I add both 10.0.1.0 and 10.0.2.0? What about somet
