How to deploy/debug maven project in workshop?
I've installed m2eclipse in Workshop 10.0. I'm able to download maven projects from a subversion repository. m2eclipse allows right-clicking for maven-install, maven-build, maven-package. Build generates a proper war file.
But Workshop does not recognize it as a web project so it will not allow me to deploy it to my local server. Anyway to get this to work?
I know in the past, checkouting out source from SVN/CVS, a project wizard pops up and allows you to set the project type.
Right now, I'm manually installing my war file to the app server. If I want to do any debugging it will have to be remote debugging. But that requires a few more steps to deal with. A productivity killer.
The File->import->WAR option might solve your problem.

How to deploy a BPM Project that has a taskflow project and a Model Project
Hi All,
I am going to deploy an Application developed using Jdev 11g (11.1.1.3) which has three projects
1) A BPM Project which contains Business Processes
2) An ADF View Controller which contains the task flows based on human tasks used by Project 1
3) An ADF Model which contains ADF BC view objects which are used by Project 2
Please elaborate how to deploy this application in Weblogic.
I initially selected the BPM project (Project 1) and deployed it with reference of Taskflow Project (Project 2).
But after this when I am clicking a task in the worklist application I am getting the following error:

I was deploying from Jdeveloper (as described in Hello World tutorial) where we need to specify an EAR file name and also include the taskflow (Also the view controller in this case) project.
The model project is referenced from view controller as a project dependency.

What does ADF have to do with a service bus? If you want to deploy an application you developed using ADF 11g (ADF Faces, ADF BC) - the only supported platform right now is WLS 10.3. If OSB can also run on WLS 10.3, then I guess you can put them both on the same WLS. You will need to configure the WLS domain with the ADF libraries - have a search of the forum, that topic has been discussed extensively in the last week or 2.

i created a managed server in weblogic admin console, it was running fine ,but i need to know how to deploy my osb projects in that new manged server.As of now it is deployed in http://localhost:7001/sbconsoleI think you need to extend the domain instead of creating the managed instance manually through Admin console. By default when you create a domain using OSB domain template, it deploys all of the applications needed automatically to all the instances. If you are trying to do it manually, then you need to follow the documentation to see which applications need to be deployed to use OSB services.

Issue in deploying Service Bus projects using maven

Does this happen when you run the app from within jdev or on a stand alone server?
Have you checked that the jdbc connection you used to build the app is correct (username, password and other connection data)?
Is this an ADF rich faces application?
Do you use jdbc url or jdbc data source?

I have made an ESB project in JDEV. Now on client site we do not have Jdeveloper. How do I deploy my application on the server. I am not even able to export my project from JDev. Please tell me in which format the project is to be exported and how do I export it from Jdev.

You have to deploy your ESB project from your JDeveloper to the application server.
1. open Jdeveloper, and go to the connections tab ( upper left corner of the screen )
2. create a Integration Server connection. In the process you'll create a application server connection as well. Test them. both should return a "success"
3. Go back to your applications tab in Jdeveloper. Save all your work. Select your ESB project. Press the right mouse button and choose "Register With ESB" Select the right Server and wait a few seconds. After that your ESB app is deployed.

Hi,
I Successfully compiled my application in JDeveloper 11g, My Project consists of .jpr file which loads all the source files. I added this .jpr file to New Application by creating a .jws in JDeveloper.
When I run my application, I am getting the Deployment Error, How to deploy a project which consists of .jpr as project file in JDeveloper 11g.
The Same was running in Oracle JDeveloper 10.3.3 version perfectly there the Server was OC4J but Here the Server is WebLogic.
can anyone help me out in solving this,

should work like this

I am able to run and test my DSP 3.0 project on my local development server, which is configured via the DSP Studio. How can I export that project and deploy it on another server? I see instructions in the developers guide for exporting a .zip file...

JeffThank you--I think I have it now. I had seen that document, but I had not noticed that when I export the .zip file it also creates a .jar that can be imported into the console. Now I have it imported and just have to sort out how to test it.

If you are used to working with ant then you can very well use eclipse to deploy your web service.
You would usually have the ant script in the source root working directory. From eclipse if you select the build file from the navigator view and right click you will see a run ant option in the pop up menu.
Select that option and you would be able to see each targets with a checkbox select option. So define each target maybe one for wsdl2java conversion, one for compilation and one for deploying your web services. You can either make all of them run by having depends option on or you can run them individually as it takes your fancy.
I am not sure about debugging a web service yet.

How BPM studio developed(generated) project be deployed onto WebCenter?
Do as the tutorial of BPM studio, it tells to click run and there is already a test portal that can run and test the Process, I really don't know where the studio put the packaged files on the test portal environment and how it works.
My question is in our requirement purpose, we will use the the feature that oracle tells BPM can be integrated with WebCenter, so how to deploy the BPM studio developed project on WebCenter? What configuration I need to do?
Thanks ...If you want to run your process inside the portal (webcenter, alui), then you have to install your standalone BPM server with the workspace extension (WE). WE does the Webcenter/ALUI integration: portlets and sso. After your BPM WE configuration you can just import portlet and webservice settings with a pte file generated by the config wizard. You can use Process Community out of the box or setup your own communities.

I have a few maven projects that I would like to work on in jDeveloper (11.1.1.5.0). How do I go about converting them into it?
First I created a generic project and tried to import my maven projects into it but when I did the import, jDeveloper didn't give the maven proejct option.

CYou will have to download the maven integration extensions. Set the correct proxy from Tools->Preferences->Web Browser & Proxy and then Visit Help->Check for updates. You will find two maven extensions to download.
