How BPM studio developed(generated) project be deployed onto WebCenter?

Do as the tutorial of BPM studio, it tells to click run and there is already a test portal that can run and test the Process, I really don't know where the studio put the packaged files on the test portal environment and how it works.
My question is in our requirement purpose, we will use the the feature that oracle tells BPM can be integrated with WebCenter, so how to deploy the BPM studio developed project on WebCenter? What configuration I need to do?
Thanks ...

If you want to run your process inside the portal (webcenter, alui), then you have to install your standalone BPM server with the workspace extension (WE). WE does the Webcenter/ALUI integration: portlets and sso. After your BPM WE configuration you can just import portlet and webservice settings with a pte file generated by the config wizard. You can use Process Community out of the box or setup your own communities.
Please read carefully the documentation especially paragraph "Integrating Oracle BPM with AquaLogic Interaction":
http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E13154_01/bpm/docs65/config_guide/index.html
Hope this helps.

  • How to use external library in EAR deployed onto J2EE engine

    For certain reasons some classes in .jar file in operation system level should be used in the EAR project I've deployed onto J2EE Engine.
    Can some one tell me what steps I should perform to acheive this?

    hey there,
    Think im already late for this... but it may be useful to someone who reads this forum later.
    I am struggling with exactly the same problem for the past more than 24
    odd hours now. The sad part - Im sure I have seen this being done in a
    matter of a few minutes when my team mate had an older version on NWDS.
    (I am currently using SP16 NWDS). May be this indeed is a bug that SAP
    needs to fix in its SP16 NWDS release.
    I need to use the HSSF POI libraries for my webdynpro components and
    have been trying ALL possible options given out here on SDN. To mention a
    few, I have tried -
    1) Jarrod's method of making a Java DC and then declaring a usage
    dependency for it inside a J2EE Server (library) DC. It didnt work... it
    gave me a warning that an illegal reference has been made to the runtime
    public part. And the final SDA file generated in the J2EE server
    component DC DIDNOT contain the jar files that I had added to the public part
    of the Java DC. On investigating further, I found that there were NO
    entities present in BOTH the public parts of the Java DC, even though the
    folder actually contained all the required .jar files.
    2) Creating an External Library DC, adding the JAR files to the
    'libraries' folder. Creating two public parts, one for assembly and the second
    for compilation. Then adding this DC as a 'Used DC' into a J2EE Server
    (library) DC. Yet, the .sda file that is created on building the J2ee
    Server (library) DC DOESNOT contain the JAR files.
    3) Creating an external library DC, adding the JAR files to the
    'libraries' folder. Creating two public parts, one for assembly and the second
    for compilation. Then adding this DC as a 'Used  DC' into a webdynpro
    DC. On building this webdynpro DC, the .ear file DOESNOT contain the JAR
    files.
    4) Directly adding the JAR files to my own webdynpro component in the
    'src/packages' folder. This didnt work because on rebuilding the
    project, the JAR files get deleted on their own.
    5) Renaming my .JAR files to .ZIP, extracting the entire package
    structure into folders, copy pasting this entire folder structure along with
    its .class files into the src/packages folder. On rebuilding, the NWDS
    deletes these folders and files on its own / behaves erratically. Also
    copy pasted these .class files along with the proper package structure
    into the '/bin' directory of my webdynpro application, but it still
    didnt work.
    The only thing that I have to try yet is to shift to SP10 of NWDS,
    build this external library project and get the required JAR files put on
    the wendynpro server. After that I might choose to get back onto the
    SP16 version and hopefully continue productive work... !

    Navneet.

  • How do I get my project with video onto my website?

    I just want to be able to upload my project, which is a mixture of slides with video. There seems to be multiple ways to upload, but I don't know which method to use over another and while I've tried doing so the videos don't work.
    So I tried again and tried to link my videos that I currently host on Amazon S3 into my project, but it won't let me do that.  Is there a way to do that? If I can't use Amazon S3, where should I host my videos?  What am I doing wrong??
    I'm using Captivate 7 (32 bit)
    I've slides with audio added and videos embedded as a video object.
    Much of Captivate is very easy and intuitive to create projects, but I want to get this up online.
    Maybe I'm completely missing the point and it's really easy, but I'm now so confused I don't know what to do.
    A simple guide to uploading a project would be very helpful.
    Thanks

    Have you tried bouncing yet? Underneath your Main Stereo Outs there is a little button for Bouncing. Hit that and a menue will open. Choose the format you want to bounce (44.1/16 Bit perhaps) and set the beginning and end point of your Song. If you setup a cycle for the whole length of the Song it will automatically take the Locators as the the Bounce In and Out Points. There is also the option "add to iTunes Library" in that menue, so choose that and later burn a CD from your iTunes library.

  • How do you develop?

    Hello all! I'm curious as to how others are currently
    developing flash programs in their environment(s). Allow me to lay
    the ground work for this question:
    My company has been developing in flash for over 3 years,
    previous to that everything was done in Shockwave. We currently
    have a Windows Server 2003 system which has a number of shares
    available to our users. One of these shares is specific to flash
    development. Users authenticate against active directory to gain
    access to the share and are able to download, upload, and open
    files from the server. As we have for the past three years - flash
    files are opened directly off the server, edited, and then saved
    directly to the server. Recently a number of users have been having
    issues when attempting to save the files back to the server after
    making changes. This problem seems to only be occurring on our MAC
    OS X systems and is very sporadic. When this occurs they save the
    file to their desktop and then upload it to the server over the
    original file that they are updating.
    I know this doesn't seem like an overwhelmingly large issue
    it is causing some issues in our development cycle and is causing
    the frustration level to sky rocket here. My question, which I
    posed initially, is my effort to see how others currently develop
    flash projects and if anyone else is experiencing this issue. Any
    advice additional to this would be greatly appreciated. Cheers!

    Cliff,

    Sure thing!
    > The concerning part of this for me; it is really hard to
    believe
    > that other users/companies aren't developing in the same
    > manner that we are.
    Agreed. I'm sure they are! But consider: other users and
    companies
    are probably making *all kinds* of other mistakes too.
    Failing to comment
    their code; failing to label their layers and assets with
    meaningful names;
    failing to save early, save often; failing to make backups.
    The learning process never ends -- not for me, not for
    anyone -- and the
    best you can do, when you discover something helpful, is to
    implement it
    company-wide as quickly as possible. Nevermind what happened
    before, or
    what might have happened in the future ... just be thankful
    for the distance
    you've come, chalk up the learning experience as just that,
    and move forward
    with the newfound knowledge. :)

    Fair enough. (Personally, I can't stand SourceSafe, lol.)

    Really? Do your developers not type code? (Maybe they don't!
    But
    still, that surprises me.)

    For sure. I like TortoiseSVN (Windows only), but there are
    also a
    number of clients for Mac. From what I've read on colleague
    blogs, you
    might give Synchro a try:

  • Migrate a project from BPM Studio to enterprise server

    Hi
    can anyone can help me and explain me how to migrate or deploy a project from BPM studio to the BPM enterprise server????????
    thanks

    From studio, right click on the project, and go to export. This will give you a .exp file which contains all the information relating to the project.
    Assuming you have correctly installed Enterprise, just open up the process administrator, go to projects, select deploy, and browse to the location of your .exp file.
    Its that easy!

  • JSP Development in Oracle BPM Studio 10.3.1.0

    Does anyone have any instructions on how to install Eclipse WTP in Oracle BPM Studio 10.3.1.0? I'd like to figure out if its easier to develop forms using JSP files instead of using the forms builder.
    Is anyone else desiging forms using JSP files? How do you go about working with your jsp files?
    Thanks,
    Graham

    I use JSPs in my projects since it gives me alot more freedom.
    For example, I would like to use JSF tags, or use Javascript libraries to make AJAX calls, and always I want the JSP to have the look and feel of the brand of the company.
    There are challenges in using the JSPs however. The documentation for the JSP Tag Library doesn't have good examples, so you might have to figure stuff out on your own.
    I don't use WTP, although I've been meaning to install it. I've been using a text editor (notepad++) for the development of my JSPs.

  • How to kill an instance process in BPM studio 6.0

    Hi i'm Fabio.
    I'm working on BPM Studio 6.0 and i need to complete a task.
    I have an instance id process, and i need to create a new process in order to kill this istance id.
    I read how to create a PAPI client (http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E13154_01/bpm/docs65/papi/index.html?t=modules/papi/c_Writing_Your_First_Java_PAPI_Program.html) but it doesn't work for my purpose.
    First of all, i understood that i have to follow these step:
    * Import the required libraries.
    * Create a process service.
    * Create a process service session.
    * Perform operations with PAPI.
    * Close the process service.
    Now, i'm working on my xpdl file and i'm using the Standard Module "Fuego" and my plan is to create a process servcie, a process service session and then operate with PAPI.
    But using the PAPI module include in the BPM studio 6.0 i'm no able to load the library for the session import fuego.papi.ProcessServiceSession;
    so i'm worng something. Could you tell me how can menage this problem? Really do i need a session? Is possible to abort an istance process in BPM studio or i need to load my ear project in Enterprise environment and then kill my instance process? Thanks, regards Fabio.

    Thanks Dan, i read your suggestion but my boss was to implement a different solution:
    package hp.abort.process;
    import fuego.boot.*;
    import fuego.papi.CommunicationException;
    import fuego.papi.InstanceInfo;
    import fuego.papi.InstanceId;
    import fuego.papi.ProcessService;

  • How to deal with .csproj.user being created/modified by Visual Studio before the project is run?

    So, what is the problem?
    The problem is that Visual Studio considers .csproj.user a dependency of the project being run.
    Let us assume the following:
     - We have a freshly built solution containing a web application project `X` as the Start Up project.
     - There are Silverlight applications served by the X web application.
     - There is no `X.csproj.user` file initially.
    Now consider the following flow of events:
     1. Open the solution in the Visual Studio
     2. Build.
     3. Run.
     4. A dialog is open to ask whether Silverlight debugging is to be enabled. Enable it.
     5. Stop the debugging session.
     6. Run again.
     7. Stop the debugging session.
     8. Run again.
    Assuming nothing is built at step 2 (because the solution is totally up to date), will there anything be built at steps 3 and 6?
    The answer is affirmative and here is why:
     - The X.csproj.user file is actually created by Visual Studio when the project is requested to run. What happens next is that the
    X.csproj.user file is considered a dependency of the project
    X by the Visual Studio. Being created just now the file is newer than the project binaries and so Visual Studio builds the project
    X. This explains why the project is built at step 3.
     - When we agree to enable Silverlight debugging Visual Studio records this agreement in the
    X.csproj.user file. So the file is modified again, after the project has started running. Restarting the debugging session is going to build the project
    X yet again, after all X.csproj.user is again newer than the binaries built a second ago. This explains why the project is built at step 6.
    Fortunately, nothing is built at step 8.
    Call me petty, but I want to avoid the builds at steps 3 and 6. The problem is that I am not allowed to check in the X.csproj.user file, because that is likely to create a mess with people accidentally checking in their private changes.
    On the other hand, I am unable to move its default content (along with the agreement to enable Silverlight debugging) into the project file
    X.csproj. Well, I can, but it is just being ignored.
    So, here is my question - is it possible to separate the content stored in a
    .csproj.user into two groups:
     - Permanent. These are the things I would love to have in the .csproj file. It will be checked in.
     - Temporary/Private. These are the things private to individual developers. Never checked in.
    Visual Studio already allows this separation for certain properties - see the
    Apply server settings to all users (store in project file) checkbox in the Web properties tab of a Web application project - http://olalalittlen.wordpress.com/2011/07/20/vs-tips-managing-server-settings-in-web-projects-for-multi-developer-scenarios/.
    However, it is insufficient.
    Any other ideas on how to prevent the aforementioned redundant builds are welcome too.

    Hi Mark,
    I think your issue is more about project itself. the saved information in the .csproj.user settings is about the project's information.
    So I suggest you post your issue to the related project forum.

  • BPM Studio call web service deployed by R12 Intergration Repository error

    Hi, I encountered a problem when calling a web service deployed by R12 Intergration Repository (SOA Gateway) w/ username/password authentication.
    It seems that the BPM Studio can not pass the security information to the web service. But using SoapUI it's quite easy to call the service with no error, just set the username and password, and set the password type to PasswordText.
    Under the External Resources catalog, I've set fileds in the Security tab with "Plain" Username Token, "sysadmin" Username and "sysadmin" Password, then changed the Authentication Type to "Username Token Profile". Then create a participant named sysadmin, and use this participant to run the process, but it just can't work.
    Anybody can help? My colleague also posted a topic here: processRemoteException when invoke  webservice from Oracle E-Business Suite but nobody answered. It would be very appreciated if sb. can fix this.

    I've encounter something similar to you're problem and it was resolved by manually creating the object using the web service constructor and inputting user credentials. If you manually instantiate your web service wrapper object and set a a security profile token, it may solve your problem. You can also pass in the web service endPoint URL, if you want.
    Fuego.WebServices.UsernameTokenProfileSecurityPolicy
    I'm not sure how to use UsernameTokenProfileSecurityPolicy, but try something like this:
    Fuego.WebServices.UsernameTokenProfileSecurityPolicy policy = UsernameTokenProfileSecurityPolicy();
    policy.username ="mark";
    policy.password = "password";
    tws = YourWebService();
    response = tws.callWebServiceMethod();
    I realize the security profile isn't tied anywhere to the web service, but try it anyway.
    There is also some fields on the webservice, tws.setRequestHeader() that may allow you to set the username and password on the request, but this doesn't make sense to me. It shouldn't be that hard.

  • How to trigger the start  of activity in BPM Studio 10.3

    Hi
    I am new to BPM Studio 10.3.1.
    I have configured two External Resources
    1)J2EE Application Server: Giving details of the application server on which my JMS Queue resides
    2)JMS Messaging Service: Giving details of the JMS Queue
    I want to trigger the start of BPM process/ activity execution when a message arrives on the configured JMS Queue from an external system.
    How will I be able to listen to that queue?
    Similarly, I would also like to know the steps to post a message to JMS through the activity in BPM Studio.
    Is there any document available that helps in configuring the External Resources other than the Studio Reference guide and User guide.
    Can anyone please help on this?
    Thanks

    I don't know if this is exactly what you're after when you wan't to start an 'activity' with a JMS message,
    If you're searching for a way to start the process, this might be your solution:
    String procId = process.id;
    *// Load the JMS Message in the argument holder*
    m_begin.load(xmlText : message.textValue);
    logMessage("JMS message retrieved from queue: \n" + message.textValue, severity : Severity.DEBUG);
    *// Set the arguments which are sent with the new instance*
    *Any[String] argsIn;*
    argsIn["beginArg"] = m_begin;
    *// Specify the process in which the new instance should be created*
    ProcessInstance.create(processId : procId, arguments : argsIn, argumentsSetName : "BeginIn");
    If you wan't to notify an instance which is in a Wait activity, you can use this:
    *// Putting the message in the paramaters*
    *Any[Any] params;*
    logMessage("JMS message retrieved from queue: \n" + message.textValue, severity : Severity.DEBUG);
    params["waitArg"] = m_wait;
    *String instId = {instance ID};*
    Notification.send(instanceId : instId, activityName : "WaitActivity", argumentSetName : "WaitIn", parameters : params);

  • Lost ADF Projects when deploying BPM 11g project

    I've run this across a couple other people who are using Oracle BPM 11g. Both have run into the issue but aren't sure what they did to fix the issue.
    I've been able to successfully deploy the ADF projects in my project successfully until this afternoon. Now when I get into the second screen during deployment (the "Task Flow deployment" dialog) I do not see all my ADF projects (at first there were none and now I see two of the 5 ADF projects).
    Has anyone figured out which file is getting corrupted that is causing this problem? Guessing there's an XML file buried somewhere that I can somehow edit and fix.
    I'm guessing I can rebuild the UI projects and they will work, but concerned that they will suddenly disappear again.
    Thanks for any tips you might have.

    You can always deploy the ADF web apps from the Application (top menu) deploy option. Just make sure you're deploying the EAR profile for the project. Deploying the web projects from the composite deployment wizard can be convenient. But I think it's often the case that you deploy them (the composite and forms) separately (e.g. you make a series of changes to the composite without needed to redeploy the UI projects).
    Bottom line is you don't have to delete the projects to be able to modify/deploy them.

  • How to avoid deleted projects being deployed when server starts

    Hi All,
    I have created some project in RAD 7 for some testing purpose with WAS 6.1.
    Now problem is I was not aware of the fact that WAS 6.1 does not work with local workspace and it shares all the workspaces. So after sometime I deleted those workspaces from Windows file system and not by opening workspace from RAD 7.
    Now whenever I create new workspace and start the server...those old workpaces haunts me by giving all exceptions about "not able to find deployment.xml file" for those EAR files.
    Does any one know how to remove those deleted projects, so that server does not try to deploy them.
    Thanks in advance.

    Hi,
    I am sorry to post this message here.
    Could you please tell me which forum would be most appropriate to post my query?
    I thought its related to SSL exception that's why I posted it here.
    Thanks,
    Abhi
