Thanks,

Its simple PORTAL application . After deploying this application we can add portlets as a childs to this application .
Now this is simple PORTAL application with CSS file.
Give me some idea about
How to create PORTLET application with CSS files . Where to include this CSS file in a PORTLET application??????
Normally we are creating first PORTAL application and adding CSS files to
Portlet Content-->Themes-->html--> abc.css .
--> Head.jsp we are giving the css file path in this JSP page as
<link href='<wps:urlFindInTheme file="abc.css"/>' rel="styleSheet" type="text/css">
After this I am adding my PORTLET application to this PORTAL .
Then its working fine. But I want to know how to add CSS files to PORTLET application???????
Please help me :-(

  • Deploying Portal App in exploded EAR format

    Hi all,
We are using Portal BEA 8.1 SP2 and we also configured a cluster with

We want to deploy our portal app in exploded EAR format.

To deploy the app as EAR (I am confused by the expression "exploed EAR", my understanding
its either exploded or EAR format) build the app as EAR (there is an option in
    the workshop build drop down).
    Did this help?

  • How to deploy Portal from Development server to Production server ?

    Hi all,
I am new to OAS Portal. I have a question :
I am developing the portal in development server, if I want to deploy it into production server, how can I do that ?
Is there any docs on this ?
    Thank you very much,
    xtanto

Assuming you are working with Portal 10.1.4, please see the following link for this documentation. It would also help in better planning for your deployment scenarios if you can briefly skim over the two chapters before the one in this link, specially to see what would be your options to lay it out on multiple environments.

  • How to deploy portalized JSF page to WLS_portlet managed server

    Hi,
I'm a newbie in webcenter development and I'd like to ask what are the proper steps in deploying a portalized JSF page. Here are the steps I did
    1. Create a WebCenter application using WebCenter template
    2. Create JSF page
    3. Create Web Service Data Control (the page should invoke a webservice or BPEL process)
    4. Drag and Drop the data control onto the page as an ADF Parameter form
    5. Create Portlet Entry. Save All. Run the page in JDeveloper -> it's working fine. the service/process is being called successfully
    6. I created the necessary JAR,WAR and EAR files.
    7. Started WLS and Managed Servers (WLS_Portlet and WLS_Spaces)
    8. Deploy the custom application using Fusion Middleware Control to WLS_Portlet
    9. Bounce POrtlet managed server
    10. Register the portlet producer using Fusion Middleware Control
    11. Login to WebCenter Spaces
    12. Create New page and add Component - my new portlet
Now, the page loads my portlet, but when I click the button that will supposedly call the service, I either receive SOAP version mismatch error (for the webservice connection) or nothing happens/no response (for the BPEL process).
Did I miss anything? Do have to configure other things in order to make it work?
    Please advise.
    Thanks!
    Rian

Sorry, this seems to be working now. I just have to close all applications in order for the memory to call the actual BPEL process

  • How to deploy a servlet in a cluster

              Hi,
Could you please tell me what the exact procedure for doing this is?
It seems to be that you have to restart all the servers in the cluster, including
the admin server for the new servlet to be taken into account...
Sometimes, a recompiled servlet that is placed in `\applications\examplesWebApp\WEB-INF\classes\servlet'
(when using the examples server) is not taken into account (automatic reloading
              doesn't work)...

              "reloadCheckSecs" property.
For redeployment, you don't have to restart the server. You need to re-deploy your
              webapp. See our docs.
PS: I tested the above scenario with SP1 and it works fine for me.

Hi All, We need help to deploy the ODI artifacts from devlopement environment to production environment. We are doing it for the first time so we do not have any idea on it. What is the step by step procedure to deploy the ODi artifacts. Also what are the prerequisites for the same. Any help will be highly appreciated. Thanks in advance, Pooja

  • Best Practice for deploying in Production Cluster

              I have the following.
2 Physical machines each running 2 jvm's, thus I have 4 jvm's in my cluster.
We access the jvm's via an IIS plug-in.
When it comes time to do a new .war file migration, do you need to stop the jvm's
              first ?
I have tried deploying with the jvm's live, it technically worked but we then
noticed several 404 errors during the day on a servlet that was there. (Called
              successfully around the 404)
Anyway, I'm just looking for recomendations on how others deploy to production.

You should be able to redeploy a web application without any

  • Deploying portal from development to production server

    Scenario:
    - Development server running OracleAS Standard Edition One.
    - Production server running OracleAS Standard Edition One
Idea is to develop portal on development server, and, once satisfied and tested, deploy to production server.
    Questions
    1. Is this the right development model? If not, what is the recommended approach?
    2. Would deployment take place via Enterprise Manager? If so, would the development portal have to be turned into an EAR file, and then pulled in to the production server? Or can the two servers be managed within a single instance of Enterprise Manager (on the production server?), and if so, how would the deployment model work?
    Thanks for the input.

    Hi there,
A1: Yes, I believe so, but will depend actually on what you wish to do.
A2: Depends how is your application made. I don't think you'll be using EM to make the deployment as this would be a Portal. So you may need to either use the cloning process of the iAS or the RDBMS utilities (where Metalink may help you further depending on the version of the Portal you are in)... or use the Portal Export / Import feature to pass a Page Group from one side to another (this will work only one-way - please refer to the Portal Configuration Guide chapter 10).
As to the "two servers be managed within a single instance of Enterprise Manager"... why not? You can have two RepCA dbs hooked to the same iAS infrastructure to be managed. If I'd recommend it this way... maybe not... remember that if it will be a Development env and a Production env... I'd recommend them to be really separated (just playing on the safe side... maybe :-) ).
    I hope it helps...
    Cheers,
    Pedro.

any information on how to pass this information to the managed servers.
Has anybody experiensed anything like this?
    Thanks

    Problem SOLVED.
In order to deploy portal in a cluster it is not enough to deploy individual components
(as described in the Deployment guide). The config.xml needs to be edited manualy
since the console application does not provide the way of defining the target for
"application-config.xml". The portal services configuration is defined in this file,
and, tharefore it needs to be deployed to the cluster as well in order for portal
    services to function properly.
This is how to do this: open the config.xml in your text editor, search for the word
"application-config.xml", in the target option specify the name of your cluster.
    Restart the managed servers.

  • Create a new portlet  in Deployed Portal in production environment

are there any ways to import or create a new portlet in Deployed Portal in production environment?
    Edited by: user8322798 on May 1, 2011 7:26 AM

This can done via WSRP proxy portlets and streaming desktops. First, you'll need to have a WSRP producer setup somewhere. This could be another WLP webapp with portlets, or another server altogether. Or, you can use the JSR 286 WSRP import tool from within the Portal Administration Console (I think it's under Services | WSRP | Import Tool) -- this will allow you upload .war(s) of JSR 168 or 286 portlets, which will be turned into WSRP producer(s).
Then, you can use the Portal Administration Console to register a WSRP Producer, and then add portlets from the producer to your desktop (http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E15919_01/wlp.1032/e14235/chap_fed_books_pages.htm#FPGWP690). Additionally, once the producer has been registered in Portal Adminstration Console, an adminstrator user can use the Dynamic Visitor Tools from within the streaming desktop itself to add wsrp proxy portlets to the desktop (http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E15919_01/wlp.1032/e14243/dvt.htm#PDGWP691).
It is not possible to add new local .portlet files to a deployed application in production mode. This requires adding the file artifacts to the .ear/.war and redeploy the application.

  • How import/deploy .ept files in Portals

    Hi All,
I am trying to integrate RedDot CMS with SAP Portals. Customer has provided two types of files. One with .epa and other one with .ept extension. I could import .epa file using System Admin, however I am not able to deploy/import .ept files. I tried renaming a copy of com.reddot.pct.liveserver.par.ept to com.reddot.pct.liveserver.par and deployed the .par file, I didn't find this deployed .par in the list of creat iview from PAR list. Please someone let me know how to deploy these .ept files.

  • How to deploy worker role to Azure cloud via portal

    Hi
I have two worker roles in my VS Project and I need them to be running on Azure cloud. I have created the storage accounts, the worker roles are using Queues, that I created using c# code.
I looked up some articles and they say I have to create a hosted services from top left corner, but I don't see any hosted service link on my portal. (I am thinking the new version of Azure Portal does not have hosted service link, probably been replaced
with something else but I don't know what it is)
Can someone please help me what to do after I create a package and have the config and package files in app.publish folder. How to deploy the  worker roles in cloud using the Portal
    Thanks
    -Sarah

    Hi,
    >>I looked up some articles and they say I have to create a hosted services from top left corner
As far as I know, cloud service was called hosted service in old azure platform, see below old platform screenshot.
About deploy your application to cloud service, please refer to
    http://azure.microsoft.com/en-us/documentation/articles/cloud-services-how-to-create-deploy/ for more detail information.

  • How to deploy a WAR file to Sun One Portal Server

Would someone please tell me the instruction of how to deploy a WAR file to Sun One Portal Server 6.2. Thank you.

I would advise against this. We tried that and it totally hosed the server.xml file and took our staging portal server down.
I have no idea what was "in" the server.xml or other files, but trying to deploy a .war file using the WS admin interface hosed portal server's settings.
