How to develop and deploy Spring framework app in Sun One App Server 8.1

Hi,
Can anyone give sample on how to develop and depoly spring framework application in J2EE 1.4 Server or Sun One App Server 8.1 .
Its very urgently needed for my project to learn and implement spring framework i would very thankful if any one can help.
Thanking You
Naveen

Pretty standard for AS8 to deploy Spring. The only thing to watch for is the security manager, which you'll probably want to turn off.

  • Deploying a web application on Sun One app server 7

    Hi,
    I am not able to deploy a web application on sun one server using Sun java studio.
    I have created Jsp, Servlet, Session bean and entity bean.
    When I am creating a web_module in the directory where JSP are kept, it is giving me error "directory is already mounted.
    I have already created EJB modules for both the Session and entity bean.
    Can some one tell me the cause / solution of this problem.

    Hi Amol,
    Thank you very much for replying my question. The contents in my application.xml are:
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
    <!DOCTYPE application PUBLIC "-//Sun Microsystems, Inc.//DTD J2EE Application 1.3//EN" "http://java.sun.com/dtd/application_1_3.dtd">
    <application>
    <display-name>testwsapp</display-name>
    <description>J2EE Application testwsapp</description>
    <module>
    <web>
    <web-uri>testws_War.war</web-uri>
    <context-root>testws</context-root>
    </web>
    <alt-dd>testws_War.xml</alt-dd>
    </module>
    </application>
    The contents in jaxrpc-ri-runtime.xml are:
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
    <endpoints xmlns='http://java.sun.com/xml/ns/jax-rpc/ri/runtime' version='1.0'>
    <endpoint
    name='testws'
    interface='contactws.testwsGenServer.testwsRPC'
    implementation='contactws.testwsGenServer.testwsRPCBean'
    tie='contactws.testwsGenServer.testwsRPC_Tie'
    model='null'
    wsdl='/WEB-INF/testws.wsdl'
    service='{urn:testws/wsdl}Testws'
    port='{urn:testws/wsdl}testwsRPCPort'
    urlpattern='/testws'
    </endpoint></endpoints>
    I tried to access and check the web service using:
    http://servername:port/testws/testws
    The first testws is contextroot named and the second testws is url pattern, which was exactly like what you mentioned but I got "404 Not Found" error.
    By the way, using the same ear to deploy to Windows Sun ONE App. Server 7 env. and then using the same url, I can access the web service. I am wondering if there is any special for deploying Web Service on Unix Sun ONE app. Server 7 env. or I missed something?
    I hope I can hear from you soon.
    Thank you again,
    Jackie

  • How to deploy a WAR file to Sun One Portal Server

    Would someone please tell me the instruction of how to deploy a WAR file to Sun One Portal Server 6.2. Thank you.

    I would advise against this. We tried that and it totally hosed the server.xml file and took our staging portal server down.
    I have no idea what was "in" the server.xml or other files, but trying to deploy a .war file using the WS admin interface hosed portal server's settings.

  • How to develop and deploy multiple worker roles in single azure cloud services?

    I am Manikandan, From Myeasydocs.com.
    We have developed our application as web projects.  Now we are going to move to azure cloud services, i have successfully migrated our application in cloud services and it worked fine. I am having difficulties with back ground task. i have nearly 12
    schedule tasks in our applications. I need assist on creating multiple worker role creation and deployment.
    Is there is any site on explaining the worker role process in details?
    Thanks in advance .. !!

    Hi,
    In Worker role, Applications hosted within worker roles can run asynchronous, long-running or perpetual tasks independent of user interaction or input. It is a service component that is useful for generalized development, and may perform background processing
    for a web role. A worker role is frequently used for long-running tasks that are non-interactive, but you can host any type of workload.
    I suggest you to follow the below article which explains about Creating and Deploying of Web Roles and Worker Roles in Azure Cloud Service using Visual Studio.

    Hope this helps !

  • Migration of j2ee app from Sun one App Server 6.0  to Sun one 6.5 Server

    Hi all,
    Currently I am involved in "J2EE" ear (webapps) migration from Sun One 6.0 to Sun One 6.5 Application Server on solaris os.Since the version and functionlity itself is major change in Sun One Server, my team had decided to build the source file and decided to port to Sun one 6.5 App Server.On doing build and compiling all source files, EJB compiler is failing on Sun one server 6.5.
    Our findings on migration was as follows:
    Sun one server 6.0 and its EJB compiler internally uses "kfcjdk11.jar" which is the base library to generate ejbs for "Enterprise Archive or ear file " of the application.Hence our application is suceessfully getting compiled and built on Sun one server 6.0 and running pretty fine.
    However, "kfcjdk11.jar" still present in Sun One 6.5 server but its not been referred by SUN One 6.5 EJB compiler.So any successfully ear file deployed on 6.0 App Server, can be deployed on Sun One server 6.5. But to test applications/product's cycle, ear file deployed on SUN one 6.5 throws runtime errors and white screen is displayed to the user.
    I had already included kfcjdk11.jar file into classpath, still its failing to compile the files.
    The one of the error description is as follows:

    Please guide us or suggest us to migrate our application to Sun one 6.5.
    Thanks in advance,

    Hi,
    web applciation uses some of platform specific API which are not portable to App server 7.0 like uda.framework etc.
    So to streamline process we are migrating applcaition to 6.5 server and also planning to rewrite whole archietecture to port it to another app server.
    Thanks,

  • How to deploy .war on Sun ONE Web Server 6.0?

    Hi Everyone
    I have been trying unsuccessfully to deploy a .war application using Sun One Web Server 6.0.
    I only installed Sun ONE for the first time this morning and don't know much about web servers - yet.
    I deployed the web application from the web-based admin console. I'm not sure exactly what to put in the URI field. I just deployed it on the only existing "virtual server". I don't really know anything about virtual servers.
    Also: I installed with the defaults, what port should I try to access my app from?
    The documentation doesn't help much - so please don't give me a URL to some docs i won't understand.
    I miss the autodeploy offered by other tools. I have deployed this app before on other servers.
    thanks in advance

    The URI is the "virtual path" at which the web application is accessible. For example, if you deploy a web application at the URI /foo, you would access the web application by requesting http://server.example.com:port/foo/.
    Unfortunately, I can't tell you what port your Web Server instance is listening on as that's configured at install time. If you don't remember the port you selected, check the server.xml configuration file. The port is recorded in that file.

  • Sun One App Server - Oracle Database 10g

    Hi to all:
    Im developing a web application that uses an Oracle 10g database and a I want to use Sun One Application Server 7, the problem that I have is when I have been deployed the war file into the server and acces to my application, specifically when I try to acces a JSP that extracts data from database, I don't see anything of the information that I need, that's not the problem, the problem is that in the server console appear a message indicating that an SQLException occour and the message is "No suitable driver".
    I test my methods before deploy the war file and the connection and data extraction are correct, I don't know if the version of the JDBC driver for the connection to Oracle Database 10g is incompatible or if it's impossible to use Sun One App Server 7 with a connection with Oracle 10g.
    I tried with other web servers like Tomcat 5.0 and Sun Application Server 9 and the connection it's perfect.
    Could somebody give some ideas or orientation please?????, im student, all help will be appreciated, thanks!!!

    Rahul,
    Yes there is an Enterprise Edition in the works. It will address the load balancing and fail over needs for deployments. More details are available here: http://wwws.sun.com/software/products/appsrvr_ee/home_appsrvr_ee.html
    We will also be releasing more information in the October and November.

  • How to compile and deploy an ejb into Sun ONE app.server 7.0

    I am new to Sun ONE application server. I Have .java files and deployment descriptor files with me. How should proceed. When i tried to use asant it is saying that build.xml not found. I copied build.xml from some other directory to the current directory. Then it is saying that common.xml not found. Please help.
    Regards,
    Nagaraju.

    Hi,
    The build.xml file should be in a directory from where
    you are running the asant command.
    To resolve the common.xml file not found error,
    open your build.xml and check from which location the common.xml file is incuded.
    In the sample application it is four directories above
    the directory where build.xml is located.
    You can copy the common.xml in the current directory and then change the following in your build.xml
    <!ENTITY include SYSTEM "../../../../common.xml">
    to <!ENTITY include SYSTEM "common.xml">
    Hope this helps.

  • How to create and deploy a simple jstl applicaton in weblogic 10.3.3

    How to create and deploy a simple jstl applicaton in weblogic 10.3.3

    1) Since JSTL libraries are provided as Web application libraries, they must be deployed before the Web application that is using JSTL functionality is deployed. The libraries can be deployed using the Administration Console or with the command-line weblogic.Deployer tool.
    Here’s an example of deploying a JSTL 1.2 library using the weblogic.Deployer command-line:
    java weblogic.Deployer -adminurl t3://localhost:7001
    -user weblogic -password weblogic
    -deploy -library
    d:/beahome/wlserver_10.3/common/deployable-libraries/jstl-1.2.war
    This command deploys the JSTL 1.2 library using the default library-name, specification-version and implementation-version defined by the MANIFEST.MF in the library.
    After a library is deployed, the extension-name, specification-version and implementation-version of the library can be found in Administration console. This information can also be found in the MANIFEST.MF file of the library WAR file.
    For more information on deploying a Web module refer below URL
    http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E15051_01/wls/docs103/deployment/deployunits.html
    2) To reference a JSF or JSTL library, a standard web application can define a <library-ref> descriptor in the application’s weblogic.xml file. Here is an example:
    <library-ref>
    <library-name>jsf</library-name>
    <specification-version>1.2</specification-version>
    <implementation-version>1.2.0</implementation-version>
    <exact-match>false</exact-match>
    </library-ref>
    For more information on referencing a Web application library refer below URL
    http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E15051_01/wls/docs103/programming/libraries.html
    3) Create a sample JSP in your application and JSP should look as shown below
    <%@ taglib prefix="c" uri="http://java.sun.com/jstl/core" %>
    <html>
    <head>
    <title>TestJSTL</title>
    </head>
    <body>
    <c:set var="topic" value="JSTL" />
    <c:out value="${topic}" />
    </body>
    </html>
    4) Create WAR and deploy and test.

  • How to compile and deploy JAX-WS web service from commandline (!) ?

    I have read a couple of tutorials about how to create and deploy web services with
    certain IDEs (e.g. Eclipse).
    But I found no guide on how to compile a java web service source from command line !!
    Lets say I have a java source class with annotations inside (like "@WebMethod").
    How do I generate with the built-in j2ee v5 tools from a web service from command line and deploy it e.g. to TomCat or JBoss ?
    Is there somewhere such a simple step-by-step intro?
    Thx
    Peter

    You can download JWSDP 2.0 from sun and install it. Under jaxws (the installed directory) you can find sample directory which has build.xml can be run from command prompt using ant. if you want in detail means go through the build.xml and use wsgen.bat or wsimport under the bin directory of jaxws

    I need to know how to install and deploy Oracle Discoverer in Oracle Application Server 10.1.3.2?

    Hi
    Discoverer doesn't install into OAS 10.1.3.2. It uses 10.1.2.1 or 10.1.2.2.
    When you install Discoverer it installs its own OAS components.

  • How to build and deploy ejb in j2ee!!

    HI there!!
    Newbie Question. I know this is very rude to ask a question "How to build and deploy ejb in j2ee server??", but please help me. I just learned some servlets worked with tomcat. Now I want to learn more about ejb, could anyone suggest me any online tutorial or book where in it is explained step by step builiding and deploying ejb's in j2ee server, please help me. I would be grateful to you.

    A good book to start with is Enterprise JavaBeans by Monson-Haefel (O'Reilly press). It covers deployment of EJBs on J2EE servers. Also check out sites specific to your server, sometimes they have specific requirements (like Weblogic).
