How To Display a Query From Query Manager In A Different Format

When I run a query from query manager I get the results displayed which is fine however I was wondering if perhaps there is a way that I can run a query from query manager and the results be displayed in perhaps a format such as XL Reporter.
Is it possible?

Thank you all for your replies.
Gordon I am interested in your solution that you have provided could you please elaborate a bit more in it because I am struggling.
I went to query pld selected the one for my report and tried to insert a logo on it and save it however I am unable to save as it says this action is not allowed.

    Hi,
How to display current date in query header?
I use Query Designer for development.
    Thanks,
    Arun KK

    Hi Arun,
You can define fixed header lines and footer lines so that when you generate the query list, they can receive current values of certain fields. When you define a header line or a footer line, you must specify a character string of the type &field, where field is the short name of a field.
This function allows you (for example) to place a sort criterion in the header line.
You can include the following fields as variables in the headers directly:
    %NAME
Name of the user processing the query
    %DATE
    Current date
    %TIME
    Current time
    %PAGE
    Current page number (6 characters)
    %P
    Current page number (3 characters)
These fields can be used in the short forms N,D,T and P. If you want to use these letters as short names for query fields, the field values from the query are used.

    Hi,
I use JRun tags but you can use Oracle tags or just JDBC... First u need to install jdbs connection and set e connection by using JMC (For JRun) named nomad.
U can also try the link below for JRun tags..

  • How do I import music from a flash drive that was formatted with a windows PC to my MacBook?

How do I import music from a flash drive that was formatted with a windows PC to my MacBook - the drive is showing it has over 3GB of info on it but none of the files are showing up in finder?  I had backed up my iTunes library on the flash drive about a year and a half ago before I switched from a dell to a MacBook pro.

What I found works for me is to make sure iTunes keeps the music files organzied in the iTunes Media folder according to album, artists, etc. and that it copies the music files there when adding them to the library.  That way, if something happens to the library, the raw files can always be re-imported again.

Does anyone know how to copy my files from my ipod to a different computer? I tried to do it, but all that it did was erase my files. What i want to to is use my ipod to transfer my files to another computer (which has itunes as well) PLEASE help!

You will need to enable your iPod for disk use. Then, you should see your iPod in "My Computer" and you can open up your iPod's folder there and drag the files into it. You can store the files on the iPod, then connect it to the other computer and drag-and-drop them from the iPod into the designated directory in that computer. Make sure individual files are not larger than 4 GB.

I got so frustrated I started over. I'm following the how to create a manual form.
    http://www.oracle.com/technology/products/database/application_express/howtos/tabular_form.html#MANUAL
The problem I'm now having is even though I display items as hidden, there is a column holder on the report for them. If I go into the report attributes and toggle the show attribute off I cannot reference an items value in my logic. I used /&nbsp/ for the column heading but I still get the little sort arrow where the column heading should be. I tried to toggle the sort attribute off but the sort arrow still shows up. How can I use the apex_item.hidden and not get a place holder for the column on a report? Thanks, Elizabeth

you can try to use the:

This layout shows a folder tree on the left, a document list on the right. When you click on a document from the list it shows the contents of the file on the bottom of the iview.

  • How to display multiple data from different table in one table? please help

    Hi
I got sun java studio creator 2(the separate installation not the one in the net beans)....
My question is about displaying data that have been taken from the database.... I know how to display data in a table(just click on the table "bind data" )... but my question is that:
when i want to use a sql statement that taken the data from different table...
how can i display that data in the table(that will be shown in the web) ??? when i click bind data on the table i can only select one table i can't select more than one....
    Note:
    1) i'm using the rowset for displaying the data in the table, since the sql statement is depending on a condition(i.e. select a from b where c= ? )...
    2) i mean by different table is that( i.e. select a from table1,table2 )..
    thanks in advance...

Hi every one, this is my first post in this portal. Welcome to the forum!

I want display the details of emp table.. for that I am using this SQL statement.
    select * from emp where mgr=nvl(:mgr,mgr);
when I give the input as 7698 it is displaying the corresponding records... and also when I won't give any input then it is displaying all the records except the mgr with null values.
1)I want to display all the records when I won't give any input including nulls
2)I want to display all the records who's mgr is null
Is there any way to incorporate to include all these in a single query..It's a little unclear what you're asking.
The following query always includes rows where mgr is NULL, and when the bind variable :mgr is NULL, it displays all rows:
    SELECT  *
    FROM     emp
    WHERE     LNNVL (mgr != :mgr)
;That is, when :mgr = 7698, it displays 6 rows, and when :mgr is NULL it displays 14 rows (assuming you're using the Oracle-supplied scott.emp table).
The following query includes rows where mgr is NULL only when the bind variable :mgr is NULL, in which case it displays all rows:
    SELECT     *
    FROM     emp
    WHERE     :mgr     = mgr
    OR       :mgr       IS NULL
;When :mgr = 7698, this displays 5 rows, and when :mgr is NULL it displays 14 rows.
The following query includes rows where mgr is NULL only when the bind variab;e :mgr is NULL, in which case it displays only the rows where mgr is NULL. That is, it treats NULL as a value:
    SELECT     *
    FROM     emp
    WHERE     DECODE ( mgr
                , :mgr, 'OK'
                )     = 'OK'
;When :mgr = 7698, this displays 5 rows, and when :mgr is NULL, it displays 1 row.

  • Mantaining closed the query structure when launching a query from "query mg

    Hi,
Is it possible to maintain closed the query structure window when launching a query from the "Query manager" menu?
As say, if I want to see the query syntax, I must click on the "Display query structure" symbol.
Now the query results windows, always starts with the "query structure" opened.
    Thanks

    Hi Antoni,
Only system built-in queries allow that.  We could not control this button to hide query by default.  You may post it as a DRQ on this forum:

Due to a bug in selectOneChoice i'm not able to get the label list i want to display directly from an iterator when the value binding is a managed bean.
