How to Display number of Records in Single XML file
Hi,
In My SAP MDM DataManager I have a table called Location it contains 3 Fields. And Having 10000 Records in that.
When I am trying to make xml file through MDM Syndication Manager it is creating 10000 xml files.
I don't want to that much files and I need all the Records in a Single XML File, how can I do that in MDM Syndication server.
I have changed xsd:element attribute maxoccurs="unbound"
but there is no property like that.
I am using SAP MDM 5.5 with SP 4.
how can I see all my records in single XML file.
Thanks and Regards,
Ashok.
hi,
To syndicate all XML records in single XML file:
follow the steps:
1. u201CIn the Destination Items pane, click on the root ( for product repository - Product).
2. u201CIn the Properties pane, for the Repeatable XML Node field, uncheck its u201CInheritu201D flag and check its flag in the u201CValueu201D column as shown below. This will cause all records to be syndicated into one XML file.u201D
3. In the item mapping tab:
In the Source Items page, select the root node,
. u201CIn the Destination Items pane, select the Products node and map it,
and do the remaining source and destination fields mapping,
now you will get all records in single XML file.
hope this may help you,
Regards,
Srinivas

Need to calculate the number of records in an XML file
I need to find out how many records I have in an XML file. The file resides on a unix server and before doing anything with, i need to insert the record count into a separate table. Is there any function or procedure that can achieve this?
does each record start with a new line? if it does a
simple wc -l can help you. If not, you can pre
process this XML file by first removing all the new
line characters using sed and then adding new line
characters after the end tag of the xml using sed and
finally doing a wc -l . this would be a simple shell
script. Not sure if you want to use Unix shell
scripting to achieve this.The sheer nature of XML means that it does not conform to any visual formatting. i.e. An xml file containing...
<employee><empno>3</empno></employee>
is identical in XML terms to...
<employee>
<empno>3</empno>
</employee>
which is also identical in XML terms to...
<employee>
<empno>
3
</empno>
</employee>
which is also identical in XML terms to...
<employee><empno>
3
</empno></employee>
etc.
You cannot rely on the number of CR's or CR/LF's in the file to count the records. Proper XML processing should be used for such a task. -

</song>
</jukebox>
and i want to display the only url in combo box list. for that how can load this xml file and how can i show.
Can any one help me.
thanks
Raghu.Raghuvasa,
Get the XML file data into an XML variable in your code, say var jukebox: xml. Then do
combo.dataProvider = jukebox.song.url
or as a shortcut
combo.dataProvider = jukebox.descendants("url")
The latter will pull out elements with tag name url at any depth in the xml structure, so sometimes you have to be careful, but in your case there should be no problem.

How to display the NULL records by multiple XMLTABLE()
First, let me provide the testing data of INSERT and CREATE TABLE sql:
create table xml_t2 (xml_raw XMLTYPE);insert sql, a bit long.....just copy and paste then run it will be OK!
the system warns: Your message exceeds the maximum length of 30000 characters.
So, I place it on the mediafire shariing space
http://www.mediafire.com/?npmot6lgl86dgliTesting SQL:
SELECT t1.years, t1.months,t1.days,t1.hours,t1.value,t2.value
FROM xml_t2,
XMLTABLE ('$d/cdata/F1' passing xml_raw as "d" COLUMNS years integer path '//year', months varchar(3) path '//month', days varchar(2) path '//day', hours varchar(2) path '//hour', mins varchar(2) path '//minute', value float path '//value') t1 ,
XMLTABLE ('$d/cdata/F2' passing xml_raw as "d" COLUMNS years integer path '//year', months varchar(3) path '//month', days varchar(2) path '//day', hours varchar(2) path '//hour', mins varchar(2) path '//minute', value float path '//value') t2The condition for now is....In the xml data, I have deleted the month 'Jan' with <F2>tag which is in 2010.
That mean the output of XMLTABLE t2 will not contain the 'Jan' records but it is still remain in XMLTABLE t1.
The problem is that when I use the above SQL to show the t1.value, it will not display the t1.value in 2010 Jan.....it just skipped 'Jan' and becomes 'Feb'...
what i would prefer to display is something like this:
YEARS MONTHS DAYS HOURS t1_value t2_value
2009 Jan 01 01 8 8
2009 Jan 01 02 8 580
2009 Jan 02 01 580 580
2009 Jan 02 02 580 580
2009 Feb 01 01 440 440
2010 Jan 01 01 627 NULL
2010 Jan 01 02 627 NULL
2010 Jan 02 01 367 NULL
2010 Jan 02 02 367 NULL
2010 Feb 01 01 367 849
2010 Feb 01 02 849 849
..............So...the main problem is how to display back the record in JAN in 2010 in t1 XMLTABLE and assign null to the t2 XMLTABLE since it doen't contains this months record.
THANKS for help!!Hi,
What's your database version?
Are you using binary XML storage? (This is the default in 11.2.0.2)
If not you have to explicitely specify it :
create table xml_t2 (xml_raw XMLTYPE)
xmltype column xml_raw store as securefile binary xml;Along with object-relational, it's the best storage strategy to use in conjunction with XMLIndex.
You should also use a structured XML index instead, it's more appropriate than the unstructured index you're currently using :
create index xml_t2_sxi on xml_t2 (xml_raw)
indextype is xdb.xmlindex
parameters (q'#
XMLTABLE xml_t2_xt '/cdata'
COLUMNS
YEARS INTEGER PATH 'F1/name/year',
MONTHS VARCHAR(3) PATH 'F1/name/month',
DAYS VARCHAR(2) PATH 'F1/name/day',
HOURS VARCHAR(2) PATH 'F1/name/hour',
MINS VARCHAR(2) PATH 'F1/name/minute',
VALUE FLOAT PATH 'F1/name/value',
VALUE2 FLOAT PATH 'F2/name/value'
call dbms_stats.gather_table_stats(user, 'XML_T2');Use the query provided by Stew and check the explain plan, you'll see the difference. -

How i get number of record in repet frame?
Hi,
How i get number of record in repet frame?
Regards
JomarJomar,
you can use Summary Columns in the Data Modell. Create them on group higher that your wished group (so on the pane for an first group of a query), use as Source the primary column and as reset at the group, where the summary column is located.
If you hide some instances via format triggers, that you could use a counter inside the format triggers to count the rows.

Adobe Captivate how to display number of attempts in Drag Drop Interaction slide
Adobe Captivate how to display number of attempts in Drag Drop Interaction slide
i have set attempts to 3
on each failure i want to show on slide how many attempts used
and how many correct answersHi Sreekanth,
You understanding is correct. But,it is not even necessary to show the correct sources on correct targets along with the feedback... the correct option numbers in incorrect feedback will do.
reg point number 3, if I revisit the slide, the feedback are still displayed. For example, in this case, I added a correct feedback, but when I revisit the slide, the feedback was still appearing. So I added this action "On Enter" to "Hide" this success caption. So that is why i told specifically that none of the feed backs should be there when i revisit the slide.
Sorry Srikanth - I am not familiar with the advanced actions or variables. I have just used some from referring the examples from net. that's all -
Multiple records of table from RFC to XI in single XML file
Hi
My Scenario is as following -->
<b>RFC ---> Sender RFC Adapter ---> XI -
> Rec SOAP adapter ---> Web Service</b>
Now we need multiple records from RFC which can be put in single XML file & XI can transport the whole XML file to Web Service. All the configuration in XI, Web Service is complete & I tested my mapping which is able to accept multiple records.
But when ABAPer is sending the records I am not getting it in XI, I checked that in message payload from RFC.
He put the table name in TABLE tab of RFC. But not under Import Tab, as whatever he is providing under Import parameter & exporting it through report I am getting in message payload but not the table data.
Did anyone try such scenario, can you tell me how can we achieve this.
Pls. provide me your mail ID in case you need an attachment of the current RFC & report code & my mapping snapshot.
Regards
- lalit -Hi
We have created the BAPI in which we are just describing the structure of the payload & which I am importing in Integration Repository.
And we are calling this BAPI from another program using " Call function ... " command & also provinding the data in that program.
Actually ethically ABAPers are against the idea of provinding the data into program they would like to provide it in BAPI but that won't work, you have to provide data in program which in turn populate the fields of BAPI.
Let me know with your mail ID in case you need snapshot of function & programs.

Syndicator:Restricting Number of records in a output file
Is there any mechanism by which i could restrict the number of records syndicated to a single output file ?.
Currently the only option seems to be output all records(matching certain criteria) or a single record to XML file/s.Hi,
You can restrict the search based on the search parameters.
If you want to syndiacte all the data in single XML file the in destination items tab ,
Step 1. Need to select the "Repetable XML Node" for the Main node.
Step 2. In Item Mapping tab Map the Main Table with main node for which you have set the indicator in Step 1.
Hope, I answered you.

How to handle the control records in case of file to idoc scenario.
Hi All,
can you please clarify me how to handle the control records in case of file to idoc scenario.Hi,
In File to Idoc scenario even though you selected apply control record values from payload and you are not getting those correct values which you have provided in the mapping.
Also check the checkboxes Take sender from payload and Take receiver from payload along with the Apply control record values from payload checkbox

How to loop through single XML File and send multiple RFC calls?
I am looking for the best approach to use for making multiple RFC calls (can be sequential) using a single XML file of data. I have been attempting to get a BPM loop working, but to no avail. My RFC only accepts a single set of delivery input and I have been told to try to work with it as is.
input xml sample:
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
<ProofOfDelivery>
<POD>
<delivery_number>1</delivery_number>
<carrier_name>UPS</carrier_name>
</POD>
<POD>
<delivery_number>2</delivery_number>
<carrier_name>UPS</carrier_name>
</POD>
</ProofOfDelivery>
I need to make a synchronous RFC call for each set of POD data.
Thanks in advance!Thanks for the inputs.
I tried with a BPM and multi-mapping transformation before a ForEach block. I am getting this error:
Work item 000000028028: Object FLOWITEM method EXECUTE cannot be executed
Error during result processing of work item 000000028029
com/sap/xi/tf/_ProofOfDeliveryMultiMapping_com.sap.aii.utilxi.misc.api.BaseRuntimeExceptionRuntim
Error: Exception CX_MERGE_SPLIT occurred (program: CL_MERGE_SPLIT_SERVICE========CP, include: CL_
Probably because I am not making/using the container objects properly. Here is a screenshot of my BPM. Can anyone spot my issue or point me to an example on this sort of container use?

Using Java, How can I Update, Add, Delete nodes in XML Files.
Hi,
I want to store the student record (like Name, Age, school name, total mark etc.,) as nodes in the XMLfile. Also I should able to Update, Add, Delete any nodes (student record) in the XML file. How can I achieve this...using Java
I am able to read the content of the xml file using xml-parser. But my problem is
updating the xml file.
pls suggest some solutions or links with " example source code"
Thanks :-)There are 2 kinds of XML parsers : SAX and DOM. DOM seems to suit your need. You can use JAXP APIs to add, delete or change nodes or attributes.
http://java.sun.com/webservices/jaxp/dist/1.1/docs/tutorial/TOC.html provides contents that would satisfy most of the needs.
To save a DOM modified XML file use java IO APIs to write to the same file from which it was read using a Document object ( doc.getNodeValue() ). -
Splitting of a CSV File with Multiple Records into Multiple XML File
Dear All,
<b> I am doing a Scenario of CSV to XML Files. I am using BPM for the same. My incoming CSV File has got multiple records. I want to break this Multiple records into Multiple XML Files having one record each.</b>
Can someone suggest how can I break this rather Split this into Multiple XML Files.
Is Multimapping absoltely necesaary for this. Can't we do this without Multimapping. Can we have some workaround in the FCC parameters that we use in the Integration Directory.
Kindly reply ASAP. Thanks a lot to all in anticipation.
Pls Help.
Best Regards
Chakra and SomnathDear All,
I am trying to do the Multimapping, and have 0....unbounded also. Someways it is not working.
<b>
Smitha please tell me one thing...Assigning the Recordsets per Message to 1, does it mean that it will write multiple XML Files as I want.</b>
Also I am usinf Set to Read only. So once the File is read it becomes RA from A. Then will it write the other Records.
I have to use a BPM because there are certain dependencies that are there for the entire Process Flow. I cannot do without a BPM.
Awaiting a reply. Thanks a lot in anticipation.

Hi my name is Dustin,
I am new to labview and teststand... I am trying to right multiple arrays of data to a single xml file. I can do this with a cluster but I have to create a variable for each of those arrays (21 arrays) and I was hoping to use the same variable for each array. Meaning I obtain my array of data write it to an xml file then replace that array in that variable with a new array and then call up my VI that writes that array to an xml file and write it to the same xml file underneath the first array without overwriting it. Attached is my VI I created to write an array to an xml file. Again I am wondering if there is a way to write multiple arrays to a single xml file at different times without overwriting the previous xml file.
Thanks
