In the program, check if the PO has the EXCISE and EXCESS details. If yes, then make the FLAG = ' ' .
If the PO doesnot have EXCISE and EXCESS details then make FLAG = 'X'.
While biulding the Field Catalog, make that COLUMNS INVISIBLE depending upon the FLAG value
loop at locFieldCatalog.
case locFieldCatalog-fieldname.
when 'WERKS'.
locFieldCatalog-emphasize = 'X'.
locFieldCatalog-col_pos = 1.
modify locFieldCatalog.
when 'MATNR'.
locFieldCatalog-emphasize = 'X'.
locFieldCatalog-col_pos = 2.
modify locFieldCatalog.
<b> when 'EXCESS'.
if FLAG = 'X'.
locFieldCatalog-no_out = 'X'.
modify locFieldCatalog.
endif.</b>
endcase.

How to change the image dynamically depend upon the input parameter
Hi All
I have one report running depend upon the Organization specific, I have 15 operating unit and 15 different logo for each operating unit.
How to change the Logo dynamically depend upon the input passed by the user.
If I have three or four logo i can add in my layout using if else statement and its works fine but i have more that 10 logos so its no possible to keep these in My RTF Template.
Is it possible to change the logo according to the input without keeping this in Template.
I have seen this link but its not working fine
http://erpschools.com/articles/display-and-change-images-dynamically-in-xml-publisher
Regards
Srikkanth.MHi,

How to display the column names of a table in the output
Hi,
I want to display the name of the columns of the table without using literals in a abap report.
EX: Consider the table KNA1
KUNNR NAME ADDRESS
I want to display the column names in the above fashion without using hardcoded write statements.
Thanking in anticipationYou can use this FM <b>DDIF_FIELDINFO_GET</b> It gives you all the names related to fields in a table -:)

How to display the column into the narrative or section from pivot table
I have a report. I have the basic number displayed in the pivot table, but missing one column and I need move one column to the top. The column missing (% of tested) should be calculated by column c /column F's last number, ie, F7=48. My desired column would be H3=c3/F48 9/48, H4=c4/F488/48.... But I could not get the number 48 into my formula, because it is the running total of the all column E. These data is in Pivot table.
I also need display No of Students 74 in the top of the report. I am not able to get this number from pivot table. It is count distinct on student key from the repository.
I appreciate any help.

Edited by: user7315022 on Feb 3, 2010 2:28 PMI wish it was this easy. I must not explain it right. All the score from each student and each question for each subject and each test is stored in database. The number of question for the subject is the max of the questions for each subject. Basically, it needs 'parittion by'... But in the OBIEE, it would not let me add any 'partition by' in the column formula. Is this true? ie, can you use partition by in the column formula? Here are the query from trace file.

how can i add the same in sp..to define a column weekend as 'yes' or 'no'.please help
luckyHello,
Just as Visakh post above, you can also use the DATEPART() function to judge whether the date is weekend or not. Please refer to the following statement:
SELECT CASE WHEN DATEPART(DW,GETDATE()) in (1,7) then 'Yes' else 'No' END AS IsWeekend

How to display the records based on user input
Hi all,
On the front end, there are two date fileds, for example, start and end. Whenever user enters start date and end date, i want to display those dates starting from start date to
end date whatever the user enters.
For example, user enters Start date : 01/15/2012 and End date : 01/19/2012
I want to display like this *01/15/2012 01/16/2012 01/17/2012 01/18/2012 01/19/2012*
Thanks in advance.
Thanks,
PalHello
You can generate a range of dates between two supplied variables with something like
var start_date varchar2(20)
var end_date varchar2(20)
exec :start_date:='01/15/2012';
exec :end_date:='01/19/2012';
SELECT
TO_DATE(:start_date,'mm/dd/yyyy') + (rownum-1)
FROM
dual
CONNECT BY
LEVEL <= (TO_DATE(:end_date,'mm/dd/yyyy') - TO_DATE(:start_date,'mm/dd/yyyy') ) + 1
TO_DATE(:START_DATE,
15-JAN-2012 00:00:00
16-JAN-2012 00:00:00
17-JAN-2012 00:00:00
18-JAN-2012 00:00:00
19-JAN-2012 00:00:00If you want to have them in columns you'd need to set an upper limit for the number of dates and use a pivot
SELECT
MAX(CASE WHEN date_idx = 1 THEN dt END) date1,

Can anybody help me how do I design such report....
ThanksHi Developer life,
According to your description that you want to dynamically increase and decrease the numbers of the columns in the table, right?
As Jason A Long mentioned that we can use the matrix to do this and put the year field in the column group, amount fields(Numric values) in the details, add an filter to filter the data base on this column group, but if
the data in the DB not suitable to add to the matrix directly, you can use the unpivot function to turn the column name of year to a single row and then you can add it in the column group.
If there are too many columns in the column group, it will fit the page size automatically and display the extra columns in the next page.

If your still have any problem, please try to provide us more details information, such as the data structure in the DB and the table structure you are currently designing.
Any question, please feel free to let me know.

Hi,
I am using OCCI to interact with DB through code, which means I am writing a vc++ file to interact with Data Base and execute the Stored Procedure which I am calling from the C++ Code. And also displaying the output of the Stored Procedures to the Front End. I am succeeded in this, but now I should be able to display the Column names of the output to Front End. Can any one help me on this.
Example:
Sno | Sname
------- |-------------
1 ABC
2 DEF
I am getting (1,ABC) and (2,DEF) as the output of the Stored Procedure but I need the Column names also to display. How to get them.
Thanks in Advance..:)Look at Re: exporting csv via pl/sql - select statement?
It has an example how to extract the column name from a cursor. You have to check, whether you can use DBMS_SQL.DESCRIBE_COLUMNS
Your procedure might need another out parameter, that returns the column names , e.g. as comma separated list or as varray. -

How to display the total at the end of the column in the report.
Hi all,
Could any one please intimate, how to display the total at the end of the column. For example, i have a column, "sales" as the Key figure, and it has the data for all the transactions. Now, i would like to display the total at the end of the report, below the same column.
Similarly, for all the other columns in the report, i need to display the total for all the columns in the report.
Thanks & Regards,
A.V.N.RaoHi All,
Thanks for many suggestions. I tried by providing the "Total" under "Calculate Results as" and also "Counter for all detailed values" under "Calcuate Single Values as", in the "Calculations" tab of the key figure, but i am unable to get the information. Again, i am providing the requirement below:
CHAR - A CHAR - B TIME CH. - 1 KF -1 KF- 2 KF - 3
1 RAM 2012 1 50 50
2 SAM 2012 2 100 200
Result 3 150 250
Assume KF -1 as "Qty." KF-2 as "Price" KF-3 as "Sales".
Please intimate the solution.
Thanks & Regards,

please help me how to do it in RDLC (asp.net and c#).....
Your help would be highly appreciated!
Thank you very much in advance!Hi M.S.GopalKrish,
According to your description, it seems that you want to make the tablix rows to fill page size? We can configure the text box height size to work around the issue.
Use this method, we need to calculate the average height size of the text box in the tablix. For more details, please see:
We can use
RowNumber() function to calculate the row number of the tablix.
Calculate the page height size of the tablix in Property windows.
Use the page height size divided by row number. We can get the average height size of the text box.
Hope this helps.

How to not display the column header in the table view?
I do not want to display the column header in the table view, how can I achieve it?
If you're using JavaFX 8 you can use the following in an external style sheet:
.table-view .column-header-background {
-fx-pref-height : 0 ;
If you're using JavaFX 2.2, the -fx-pref-height attribute is not available in css, so I think you have to resort to a lookup:
final Region tableHeader = (Region)table.lookup(".column-header-background");
tableHeader.setPrefHeight(0);
As always, I feel obliged to point out that I don't really like lookups. Sometimes they seem to be the only way, though.
