How to do filter data after Data Collection for Oracle PS

Hi Experts,
I have a critical issue on the "Data Volume" after data collection program.
If I give this big chunk of data as a input to PS, then integration program is not taking this High volume of data into PS.
Hence now I have a critical task to reduce number of Data.
In this front, first I need to delete some items which are not required for PS in the base table(In MSC_SYSTEM_ITEMS) after collection program, but I do not know the dependent entities which also has to be taken care in MSC side after collection, If I delete the itrems from MSC_SYSTEM_ITEMS..
Hence I require help on this data filter issue.
Appreciating anyone's help in advance...
Thanks & Regards,
Bharathram N

Hello,
Have you looked at the request Purge ODS Data of Collections? Using this you can delete all the collected data for a specific instance id.
Once that is done you can run a complete refresh for all entities for all enabled organizations. This will ensure that old data pertaining to disabled orgs is removed.
Additionally in 11.5.10 (collections rup 32 and later) there is a feature implemented which does not pull data from disabled organizations into the source snapshots. This in itself does not make a difference for the ODS data, but does give better performance in the refresh snapshots.
One thing to take into account if your purge the ODS data that in the event when you still have ascp plans that are based on this data, then you may end up with no data being displayed in the workbench (because the lid tables have been purged). Here you would have to rerun the plans.
best regards

  • How to set JDBC Data Sources in Oracle MapViewer for Oracle database 12c Release 1 (12.1.0.1)

    How to set JDBC Data Sources in Oracle MapViewer for Oracle database 12c Release 1 (12.1.0.1)?
    The following is my configuration in the conf\mapViewerConfig.xml:
    <map_data_source name="mvdemo12"
    jdbc_host="127.0.0.1"
    jdbc_sid="orcl12c1"
    jdbc_port="1522"
    jdbc_user="mvdemo"
    jdbc_password="7OVl2rJ+hOYxG5T3vKJQb+hW4NPgy9EN"
    jdbc_mode="thin"
    number_of_mappers="3"
    allow_jdbc_theme_based_foi="true"
    editable="true"/>
    <!--  ****  -->
    But it does not work.
    After use "sqlplus mvdemo/[email protected]:1522/pdborcl", it connected to the Oracle database 12c.
    Does anyone know it?
    Thanks,

    For 11.1.1.7.1 use the syntax for jdbc_sid, i.e.
    //mypdb1.foo.com as described in the README,
    - MapViewer native (non-container) data sources can now use database service name in place of SID. To supply a db service name, you will use the same jdbc_sid attribute, but specify the service name with double slashes in front, such as follows:
      <map_data_source name="myds"
        jdbc_host="foo.com"
        jdbc_sid="//mypdb1.foo.com"
        jdbc_port="1522"
      />
    For 11.1.1.7.0 use a container_ds instead.
    i.e. instead of using
    <map_data_source name="my_12c_test"
                       jdbc_host="mydbinstance"
                       jdbc_sid="pdborcl12c"
                       jdbc_port="1522"
                       jdbc_user="mytestuser"
                       jdbc_password="m2E7T48U3LfRjKwR0YFETQcjNb4gCMLG8/X0KWjO00Q="
                       jdbc_mode="thin"
                       number_of_mappers="6"
                       allow_jdbc_theme_based_foi="false"
                       editable="false"
       />
    use
      <map_data_source name="my_12c_test"
                       container_ds="jdbc/db12c"
                       number_of_mappers="6"
                       allow_jdbc_theme_based_foi="false"
                       editable="false"
       />
    In my case the Glassfish 3.1.2.2 JDBC connection pool definition was
    Property
    url  jdbc:oracle:thin:@mydbinstance:1522/pdborcl12c.rest_of.service.name
    Uncheck the Wrap JDBC Objects option in Advanced panel, i.e. the Edit JDBC Connection Pool Advanced properties page.
    Add a JDBC resource for that newly created pool
    Use that in mapviewerconfig.xml as above

  • Firefox users cannot presently exercise choice, to opt-in or out of "data collected for improving services." As a result, Firefox is constantly dialing home, sometimes four times a day or more up to 48 times a day. There is some over-stepping and redunda

    I understand the charter on this is to "check-in" once every time the program is turned on, and then once every 6 hours after that, or, once every 24 hours presumably. But the phone-home-effect is over-stepping these basic parameters. If a user turns their browser off and then on, Firefox is still obligated to "check-in" even if it just checked in 3 minutes prior. If the coding is not pre-designed to overstep, or act excessively in a redundant focus, the instance of once every six hours or once every 24 hours, is still overmuch if a user has been doing this (non-voluntarily-participating) for 9 months or longer.
    == This happened ==
    Every time Firefox opened
    == This started when Firefox took up the initiative of "improving service. to end users" or similar idea, making the web safer for novice users, etcetera.

    Opening question was truncated. Should read: "Firefox users cannot presently exercise choice, to opt-in or out of "data collected for improving services." As a result, Firefox is constantly dialing home, sometimes four times a day or more up to 48 times a day. There is some over-stepping and redundancy here. It would seem the practice of "improving service" has been accomplished with as much information as Mozilla has gathered in the last 6-18 months about its users habits. '''Isnt it about time to give users the option to opt out of that now that most the heavy liftiing has been accomplished?'''"

  • How we create new data base in oracle 10g express edition

    hello every body.. i student of B tech n new user of oracle so please help me how we creat new data base in oracle 10g express edition

    Hello, Oracle XE can not create more than one instance, the other editions yes, but like other editions XE allows you to create database schemas, schemas logically grouped objects like tables, views, indexes created by a user. By creating an Oracle user is associated with a schema of the same name.
    Using SYS or system accounts for creating user accounts.
    Syntax to create a user:
    create user Your_user
    IDENTIFIED BY password
    default tablespace users;
    grant connect, resources to your_user;

    Record inside current company: Validation that, the user should only able to enter BEGIN DATE (BEGDA)  greater than or equal HIRING DATE and END DATE(ENDDA) should be greater than FROM  DATE (BEGDA).
    Record outside current Company: Validation that, the user should only able to enter BEGIN DATE (BEGDA)  less than or equal HIRING DATE and END DATE (ENDDA) should be greater than FROM  DATE (BEGDA) and less than HIRING DATE.
    Technical Requirement:

    Experts!
    M completely new to Inventory Mngt where i needto extract data from R/3,
    they 've given me some tables, but i dont know how to find appropriate data
    sourses for that tables
    those are
    MKPF,MSEG
    EKKO,EKPO
    EKBE,EKET
    How to find right data sourses when table names given in any module??
    pls guide me,
    'll assign the points.
    thanks
    Srujan

    Hi,
    2LIS_03_BX is the initialization of your stocks; you'll need to perform the setup procedure for extracting this data.
    Usually this DSource is used to bring the stocks positions at a given time; from this given time you'll then extract deltas from BF and UM so your stocks are always:
    BX + BF(Delta) + UM(delta).
    Hope this clears your doubts...
    Olivier.

  • How I can do data management for classification ?

    Hi
    How I can do data management for classification.
    If I have new class and I want to add this class to a lot of materials, how can I do that? Is there a transaction to add and also to manage the data in the classification by mass?
    Vijay

    CLMM is the transaction for mass maintenance.
    there you click set an change values button
    you enter your class type.
    in assingments tab you enter the new class
    in target objs to enter the material number that need to get this new class assigned. (you can search the materials with the class they have currently and adopt the hits)

  • OIM 9.1.0.2 - Weblogic JDBC Multi Data Sources for Oracle RAC

    Does OIM OIM 9.1.0.2 BP07 support Weblogic JDBC Multi Data Sources (Services>JDBC>Multi Data Sources) for Oracle RAC instead of inserting the "Oracle RAC JDBC URL" on JDBC Data Sources for xlDS and xlXADS (Services>JDBC>Data Sources> xlDS|xlXADS > Connection Poll> URL) ?
    If yes, is there are any other modifications that need to be made on OIM, or just changing the data sources?

    Yes, it's supported. You install against one instance directly of the Rac Server. Then you update the config.xml file and the jdbc resource in your weblogic server with the full rac address. It is documented for installation against RAC. http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E14049_01/doc.9101/e14047/database.htm#insertedID2

  • Difference between Data Providers for Oracle

    Hello,
    There are 3 .NET Data Providers for access an Oracle Database:
    1) ODP.NET, who uses Oracle API to access an Oracle Database.
    2) Microsoft .NET Data Provider for Oracle, who comes in the Assemblie System.Data.OracleClient
    3) Microsoft .NET Data Provider for OLE DB.
    My questions are:
    1) There is another Data Provider to access an Oracle DB ?
    2) Which is better, for example to handle LOB fields ?
    3) Which is better in performance ?
    4) ODP.NET uses some Oracle API to handle a DB, and the others ?
    5) What is the requirement (Oracle Client, OS) of each of them ?
    Best Regards
    Alfredo DS

    I would recommend using ODP.NET. Overall, I've seen better performance from it than other Oracle providers. It requires the 9.2 client and any OS that the 9.2 client supports.
    With respect to LOBs, the first ODP.NET version was consistently faster retrieving LOBs than other Oracle providers. The latest version of ODP.NET (and the upcoming version) have made some substantial improvements in LOB performance on top of that.

  • Test Data generator for oracle?

    Hi again,
    I found a long list of "Test data generators" for oracle by google.Is there anybody there to use some specific product and have nice experience? I have limited time to test them.
    -Your help will be so appreciated.

    The Oracle provided dbms_random package can be used to help generate test data.
    I have found that most test data generation programs are not that useful for generation data in an rdbms environment.

    Sorry, but I don't believe there is way that you can.  You'll just have to make sure to read the minmium requirements of any App you are about to purchase to ensure that it is compatible and will run on your iPod Touch running iOS v3.1.3.

  • How do I set-up on %ORACLE_HOME%\bin for Oracle client on Windows XP

    How do I set-up on %ORACLE_HOME%\bin for Oracle client on Windows XP?
    The Oracle bin directory is: C:\oracle\ora90\bin
    Thank you!

    If you are asking how to setup the resolution of %ORACLE_HOME%\bin to C:\oracle\ora90\bin, you must create a system environment variable called ORACLE_HOME that is set to a value of C:\oracle\ora90.

  • How to Check UPL data collection at Solution Manager

    Hello,
    I had activated UPL data collection as per the document How to Guide –SAP Custom Code Management Usage and Procedure Logging.
    I can check UPL data in my managed system by Report “/SDF/SHOW_UPL"
    But I am not able to get the same data in Solution Manager by this same repot (/SDF/SHOW_UPL).
    When I run this report in solman it show me only Solution manager data.
    How I can read Manage System data in Solman? And what are the check point (for both Solman and Manage system) I need to check for ensuring my UPL date collection is working fine.

    Set up CCLM and the custom code setup and you will be able to view UPL data that way,
