How to do Modifications to ECO change types?

Hi,
I'm a developer and new to PDM module.
Can any one please help me in doing the "Modifications to ECO Changes types to SAP PDM".
Thanks,

  • How to restrict change type in CC31

    Hi ,
I have a new requirement in which I need to restrict change types in txn CC31 (Create ECR).onlya set of people should create a ECR with one change type and another set of ppl with another change type, but I am not able to find any auth object with the field CCART(Change types) to provide these restrictions .
Is creating a new auth object the only way ? please let me know if there is any other possibility  or any other auth objects which can be used for the same ?
    Thanks,
    Nanda

Fields of such types (e.g. document types, master data accounts, etc) are often not the same field name that you are looking for in an authorization object, but rather grouped in their master records and the authority-check is against the assigned group value.
More often than not, if no group value is assigned to a record then no check is made.
So what you can try to look for is a BEGRU type field of an object in the code and look to see where it is gettings its value from.
    Might be worth a try...
    Cheers,

    ALE FUNCTION MODULE ENHANCEMENTS
Having extended the IDOC type to contain additional fields for an inbound or outbound application, you now want to enhance ALE function modules for populating the additional segment on the outbound or applying the additional segment data on the inbound application.
The core working code for ALE processes for a given application area is always encapsulated in ABAP/4 function modules. These function modules are associated with such control information as message types and process codes. So the ALE process checks this control information and derives the name of the function module to invoke for that particular IDOC processing from certain database tables. These function modules contain objects known as customer functions, which can be considered SAP Enhanced user exits. A function module is called at a particular point during the processing of the main program or function module, and it can be used to influence data processing at that point by adding code to the customer function. The customer function behaves like a normal function module and has import and export parameters, tables (internal tables) statement, and exception processing. Unlike a conventional user exit, customer functions give you the ability to modify only data available to you by the function moduleâs parameters and internal tables. While most ALE/EDI function modules are supported by customer functions, there are ALE/EDI processes that still use conventional user exits. There are a few ways to determine which function module to enhance for a given message type/process code:
    • For master data distribution, from SALE go to Extensions -> Master data distribution -> Setup additional data for message types. Search for message type DEBMAS in this example. You see an entry for DEBMAS associated with function module MASTERIDOC_CREATE_SMD_DEBMAS. This data is stored on table TBDME. The function module names for all master data message types follow this pattern: MASTERIDOC_CREATE_SMD_messagetype. This function module calls another function module of name MASTERIDOC_CREATE_DEBMAS or MASTERIDOC_CREATE_messagetype. Search for the words customer function, and you find several hits that can be used to add code to the function module.
    • From WEDI got to Control -> Inbound process codes -> Inbound with ALE service -> Processing by function module (transaction WE42), or from WEDI go to Control -> Outbound process codes -> Outbound with ALE service -> With function module (transaction WE41). There will be function modules associated with the process codes. For inbound, the function modules usually follow this pattern: IDOC_INPUT_messagetype: for example, IDOC_INPUT_CHRMAS for inbound characteristics master.
    • Use transaction WE57 or from WEDI go to Development -> Message/Application Object. The entries list the function module, Business Object, message type, and IDOC type that are used for inbound ALE/EDI interfaces.
Customer functions are not specific only to ALE and EDI but also to all programs/modules in SAP R/3. Customer function is a SAP enhancement component; the other two types are menu and screen enhancements.
All customer function exits are maintained in SAP enhancements and are found by using transaction SMOD. After executing transaction SMOD, pull down (F4) on the enhancement name field, and execute again. This provides you with a list of all SAP enhancements available. SAP enhancements are grouped by development class pertaining to an application area. Choose Application development R/3 SD master data distribution for development class VSV to lead to a screen that lists VSV00001 as an enhancement (see Figure 5). Press Component +/- to display its function exit components. There are four possible components listed, all of which are function exits (and are function modules) that are called from the ALE function modules in the form Call Customer Function Î001â. This is a special occurrence of the ABAP statement Call. Go to item Exit_SAPLVV01_ 001, which you need to enhance for the Customer Master outbound example of an IDOC extension. In the ALE-function module MASTERIDOC_CREATE_DEBMAS, the statement CALL Customer Function 001 is translated in the background to call component EXIT_SAPLVV01_001. Although this function exit can be edited using transaction SE37, you will use a simpler approach.
When you use SAP enhancements and their components, you manage them with an SAP object known as a project, which is like an envelope containing the selected enhancements and their components. A project can be used to control the execution of components and to transport them to other clients and instances in SAP. Basically, the process involves creating a project, including enhancements and components that are to be enhanced, editing the components, and then activating the project. The following process creates a project for our example Customer Master IDOC extension:
    • Execute transaction CMOD.
    • Enter name of project, say CSTMAST1.
    • Click on Create.
    • Enter a description of the project.
    • Save.
    • Click on SAP Enhancements.
    • Enter VSV00001 for Enhancement.
    • Save.
Once youâve created the project, edit the function exit components and activate the project. Remember that the code in the function exit enhancement will execute only if the project is activated. In fact, this is a convenient SAP enhancements feature, whereby the work in progress (developing code in the customer function) will not affect users of that application. When the code is completed, the project can be activated so the enhanced functionality takes effect. It can also be deactivated for maintenance.
As mentioned earlier, customer functions (function exits) are embedded in ALE function modules and can be used to influence the creation and modification of IDOC data on an outbound application or to post additional or modified IDOC data to an inbound R/3 application. Function exits are similar to regular function modules, with import/export parameters, tables (internal tables), and exceptions.
The two important factors to consider while developing the customer function are:
    1. The point in the ALE function module where the function exit occurs
    2. The data made available by the customer function that can be modified or posted to the R/3 application, based on the direction.
Because some function modules have several customer functions, it is critical to choose the function exit best suited for that particular enhancement. Do not attempt to perform activities that the function exit is not designed for. The importance of this point is illustrated by the following description of enhancing function modules for outbound and inbound ALE interfaces.
Outbound interfaces. In an outbound ALE interface you use function exits (customer functions) to populate additional segments created by an IDOC extension or to modify the existing IDOC data segments as per business requirements. Previously, you identified that enhancement VSV00001 has a component EXIT_SAPLVV01_001 (function exit), which can be used for populating the additional data segment Z1SADRX that you created in the IDOC extension ZDEBMASX (IDOC type ZDEBMASZ, based on Basic IDOC type DEBMAS02). You also learned that the ALE function module that calls this function exit is MASTERIDOC_CREATE_DEBMAS, which has a statement Call Customer Function 001.
Browse the function module MASTERIDOC_CREATE_DEBMAS using transaction SE37. You will find that this customer function is invoked for every segment of IDOC type DEBMAS02. In fact, the function exit is called soon after the creation of an existing segment has been populated with data and appended to the IDOC data table (internal table). Also, the function exit is exporting the message type, IDOC type, and the segment name and is importing the IDOC extension type. It is also passing the IDOC data internal table. This indicates that the ALE function module is allowing you to populate additional segments for every existing segment and modify the existing segmentâs data.
Letâs write ABAP/4 code to accomplish the task of populating IDOC segment Z1SADRX with a contact personâs business address:
    • From SE37, display function module MASTERIDOC_CREATE_ DEBMAS.
    • Find Customer Function 001.
    • Double-click on 001.
    • The function EXIT_SAPLVV01_001 will be displayed.
    • Double-click on INCLUDE ZXVSVU01.
    • You will be asked to create a new include object. Proceed as desired.
    • Enter code (as in Listing 1).
    • Be sure to perform a main program check (Function Module -> Check -> main program) and extended program check (Function module -> Check -> Extended check).
Now that you have extended the IDOC and enhanced the ALE function module based on the requirements for the contact personâs business address on the Customer Master, letâs test the interface. You should create a logical system and define a port for this interface. You should also configure the Customer Distribution Model to indicate that message type DEBMAS is being distributed to this logical system. The only difference in configuration between a regular outbound ALE interface and an enhanced one is the partner profile definition. While maintaining the outbound parameters of the partner profile, make sure the IDOC type is ZDEBMASZ. The fields for Basic IDOC type and extension type are automatically populated with DEBMAS02 and ZDEBMASX, respectively.
To maintain the contact personâs business address of a customer:
    • Use transaction BD12 or from BALE go to Master Data ->Customer -> Send and send that Customer Master record by executing the transaction after filling in the relevant fields such as customer number, message type, and logical system.
    • Use transaction WE02 or WE05 to verify the IDOC created. You should see the new segment Z1SADRX populated with the correct data.
With SAP releases below 4.5B, you cannot capture changes to business address through change pointers because a change document object is not available for capturing business address changes, and also earlier releases have not been configured to write change documents for a contact personâs business address. If you would like this functionality, you can either create change document objects, generate function modules to create change documents, and perform ALE configuration to tie it in, or make a cosmetic change to the contact person screen data while changing the contact personâs business address so that it gets captured as a change to the Customer Master. Subsequently, the ALE enhancement that you performed captures the contact personâs business address.
Inbound interfaces. The process for enhancing inbound ALE interfaces is similar for outbound, with a few exceptions; specifically in the coding of customer functions (function exits) for the ALE/EDI function modules.
The first step is to create an IDOC extension for the specific Basic IDOC type by adding new segments at the appropriate hierarchy level: that is, associated to the relevant existing segment. Populate the data fields on the new segments with application data by the translator or external system/program before importing them into the R/3 System. Then, find the ALE function module that is invoked by the inbound processing. By browsing through the code or reading the documentation on the function exit enhancements using the SMOD transaction, identify the function exit in which you should place your code. The technique used in the code to post the additional or modified IDOC data to the application can vary based on the application rules and requirements, the data available at that point in processing, and the application function modules available to update the application tables. It is important to search first for application modules that process the data and see if they can be called within the function exit. If the additional data in the extended segments in specific to a custom table or resides in nonkey fields of a single or small set of tables, you may be able to update it directly by SQL statements in the function exit. This approach should be carefully evaluated and is certainly not highly recommended.
Another option is to use Call Transaction from within the function exit to process the additional data. For example, in the case of message type WMMBXY for inbound goods movements from a warehouse management system, the standard interface creates batches for materials, but does not update its characteristics. In such a case, you can use Call Transaction MSC1 to create the batch and assign characteristic values to it from within the function exit provided.

  • New Effective CAL essay: How do I create an abstract data type in CAL?

<p><strong>How do I create an abstract data type in CAL?</strong></p>  <p> </p>  <p>An <em>abstract data type</em> is one whose internal representation can be changed without needing to modify the source code of client modules that make use of that type. For software maintainability, it is a good idea to make a type that is subject to change or enhancement into an abstract data type. Another reason to create an abstract data type is to enforce invariants for values of the type that can only be ensured by using <em>constructor functions</em> (i.e. functions that return values of that type).</p>  <p> </p>  <p>In principle it is simple to create an abstract data type in CAL. For an algebraic data type, make the type constructor public and all data constructors private. For a foreign data type, make the type constructor public and the implementation scope private. If a scope qualifier is omitted, the scope is taken to be private.</p>  <p> </p>  <p>For example, the Map algebraic data type has the public type constructor Map and the data constructors Tip and Bin are each private, so it is an abstract data type.</p>  <p> </p>  <p>/** A map from keys (of type {@code k@}) to values</p>  <p>   (of type {@code a@}). */</p>  <p><strong>data</strong> <strong>public</strong> Map k a <strong>=</strong></p>  <p>    <strong>private</strong> Tip <strong>|</strong></p>  <p>    <strong>private</strong> Bin</p>  <p>        size      <strong>::</strong> <strong>!</strong>Int</p>  <p>        key       <strong>::</strong> <strong>!</strong>k</p>  <p>        value     <strong>::</strong> a</p>  <p>        leftMap   <strong>::</strong> <strong>!(</strong>Map k a<strong>)</strong></p>  <p>        rightMap  <strong>::</strong> <strong>!(</strong>Map k a<strong>);</strong></p>  <p><strong> </strong></p>  <p><strong> </strong></p>  <p>There are a number of invariants of this type: the size field represents the number of elements in the map represented by its Bin value. The keys in leftMap are all less than key, which in turn is less than all the keys in rightMap.  In particular, non-empty Map values can only be created if the key parameter type is a member of the Ord type class.</p>  <p> </p>  <p>Values of the Map type can be created outside the Cal.Collections.Map module only by using constructor functions such as insert:</p>  <p> </p>  <p>insert <strong>::</strong> Ord k <strong>=></strong> k <strong>-></strong> a <strong>-></strong> Map k a <strong>-></strong> Map k a<strong>;</strong></p>  <p><strong>public</strong> insert <strong>!</strong>key value <strong>!</strong>map <strong>= ...</strong></p>  <p> </p>  <p>The owner of the Cal.Collections.Map module must ensure that all invariants of the Map type are satisfied, but if this is done, then it will automatically hold for clients using this function.</p>  <p> </p>  <p>Some examples of foreign abstract data types are Color, StringNoCase  and RelativeDate:</p>  <p> </p>  <p><strong>data</strong> <strong>foreign</strong> <strong>unsafe</strong> <strong>import</strong> <strong>jvm</strong> <strong>private</strong> "java.awt.Color"</p>  <p>    <strong>public</strong> Color<strong>;</strong></p>  <p><strong> </strong></p>  <p><strong>data</strong> <strong>foreign</strong> <strong>unsafe</strong> <strong>import</strong> <strong>jvm</strong> <strong>private</strong> "java.lang.String"</p>  <p>    <strong>public</strong> StringNoCase<strong>;</strong></p>  <p><strong> </strong></p>  <p><strong>data</strong> <strong>foreign</strong> <strong>unsafe</strong> <strong>import</strong> <strong>jvm</strong> <strong>private</strong> "int"</p>  <p>    <strong>public</strong> RelativeDate<strong>;</strong></p>  <p> </p>  <p>The private implementation scope for Color means that a foreign function whose type involves Color can only be declared in the Cal.Graphics.Color module where the Color type is defined. A foreign function declaration involving the Color type relies on the compiler knowing that the Color type corresponds to java.awt.Color to resolve the corresponding Java entity i.e. it must know about the implementation of the Color type. Having a private implementation scope means that the Color type can be changed to correspond to a different Java class, or indeed to be an algebraic type, without the risk of breaking client code.</p>  <p> </p>  <p>In all these three cases there are useful, and different, design reasons to adopt a private implementation scope:</p>  <p> </p>  <p>For RelativeDate, the Java implementation type int represents a coded Gregorian date value in the date scheme used by Crystal Reports. Not all int values correspond to valid dates, and the algorithm to map an int to a year/month/day equivalent is fairly complicated, taking into account things like Gregorian calendar reform. Thus, it is desirable to hide the implementation of this type.</p>  <p> </p>  <p>For StringNoCase, the implementation is more straightforward as a java.lang.String. The reason to adopt a private implementation scope is to ensure that all functions involving StringNoCase preserve the semantics of StringNoCase as representing a case-insensitive string value. Otherwise it is very easy for clients to declare a function such as:</p>  <p> </p>  <p><strong>foreign</strong> <strong>unsafe</strong> <strong>import</strong> <strong>jvm</strong> "method replace"</p>  <p>    replaceChar <strong>::</strong> StringNoCase <strong>-></strong> Char <strong>-></strong> Char <strong>-></strong> StringNoCase<strong>;</strong></p>  <p> </p>  <p>which does not handle case-insensitivity correctly, but is a perfectly valid declaration. This declaration results in a compilation error when it is placed outside the module in which StringNoCase is defined because of the private implementation scope of StringNoCase.</p>  <p> </p>  <p>For Color, the issue is somewhat more subtle. The java.awt.Color implementation type is semantically the same as the CAL Color type. The problem is that java.awt.Color is mutable (since it can be sub-classed to create a mutable type). It is preferable for a first-class CAL type to not be mutable, so we simply make the implementation scope private to ensure that this will be the case. </p>  <p> </p>  <p>A somewhat less encapsulated kind of abstract data type can be created using <em>friend modules </em>and <em>protected</em> scope. For example, if an algebraic type is public, and all its data constructors are protected, then the data constructors can be accessed in the friend modules of the module in which the type is defined. Effectively this means that the implementation of the semantics of the type stretches over the module in which the type is defined, and all of its friend modules. These must all be checked if the implementation of the type is modified. </p>  <p> </p>  <p>Given the merits of abstract data types discussed above, it is perhaps surprising that most of the core types defined in the Prelude module are not abstract data types. For example: Boolean, Char, Int, Double, String, List, Maybe, Either, Ordering, JObject, JList, and all record and tuple types are non-abstract types. </p>  <p> </p>  <p>There are different reasons for this, depending on the particular type involved. </p>  <p> </p>  <p>For example, Boolean, List, Maybe, Either and Ordering are all rather canonical algebraic data types with a long history in functional languages, with many standard functions using them. They are thus guaranteed never to change. In addition, their values have no particular design invariants that need to be enforced via constructor functions. Exposing the data constructors gives clients some additional syntactic flexibility in using values of the type. For example, they can pattern match on the values using case expressions or let patterns.</p>  <p> </p>  <p>Essentially the same explanation holds for record and tuple types. Although non-tuple record types are less canonical, they do correspond to the fundamental notion of an anonymous named-field product type. The "anonymous" here simply means that the programmer can create an entirely new record type simply by creating a value; the type does not have to be declared anywhere prior to use.</p>  <p> </p>  <p>Char, Int, Double, String, JObject and JList are foreign types where in fact part of the semantics of the type is that we want clients to know that the type is a foreign type. For example, we want clients to know that Prelude.Int is essentially the Java primitive unboxed int type, and has all the semantics you would expect of the Java int type i.e. this is quite different from RelativeDate which is using int as its implementation type in a very tactical way that we may choose to change. One can think of a public foreign type declaration with public implementation scope as simply introducing the Java type into the CAL namespace.</p>  <p> </p>  <p>One interesting point here is with CAL&#39;s naming convention for public foreign types. We prefix a type name by "J" (for "Java") for foreign types with public implementation type such that the underlying Java type is mutable. This is intended as mnemonic that the type is not a pure functional type and thus some caution needs to be taken when using it. For example, Prelude.JObject has public Java implementation type java.lang.Object.</p>  <p> </p>  <p>In the case where the underlying Java type is not mutable, we do not use the prefix, since even though the type is foreign; it is basically a first class functional type and can be freely used without concern. For example, Prelude.String has public Java implementation type java.lang.String.</p>  <p> </p>  <p>In the case where the implementation type is private, then the fact that the type is a foreign type, whether mutable or not, is an implementation detail and we do not hint at that detail via the name. Thus Color.Color has as its private Java implementation type the mutable Java type java.awt.Color. </p>  <p> </p>  <p>When creating abstract data types it is important to not inadvertently supply public API functions that conflict with the desired public semantics of the type. For example, if the type is publicly a pure-functional (i.e. immutable) type such as Color, it is important not to expose functions that mutate the internal Java representation.</p>  <p> </p>  <p>A more subtle case of inadvertently exposing the implementation of a type can occur with derived instances. For example, deriving the Prelude.Outputable and Prelude.Inputable type classes on a foreign type, whose implementation type is a mutable Java reference type, allows the client to gain access to the underlying Java value and mutate it
(by calling Prelude.output, mutating, and then calling Prelude.input). The solution in this case is to not derive Inputable and Outputable instances, but rather to define a custom Inputable and Outputable instance that copies the underlying values.</p>

    Hello ozne,
as a first step please have a look at these "General infos about the Adobe Account"
    https://www.adobe.com/account.html and http://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/global/find-serial-number.html.
Did you purchase your product from these firms like Amazon? If yes, this is not a serial number, only a code with which you can request a serial number from Adobe. Please have a look at http://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/global/find-serial-number.html. (Start here: How did you purchase your product?)
The following part, so I just see at least, ceased to exist on my Adobe website, everything takes place in the link from above. I leave it as an info yet, it might still fit for you. For this purpose, please click your way through to your Adobe Store and find the button "Get Serial Number". Fill in the form and after a while you will get the real serial number.
    Good luck!

  • Dynamically built query on execution How to save the data in Object Type

    Hi,
In pl/sql I am building and executing a query dynamically. How can I stored the output of the query in object type. I have defined the following object type and need to store the
output of the query in it. Here is the Object Type I have
CREATE OR REPLACE TYPE DEMO.FIRST_RECORDTYPE AS OBJECT(
    pkid NUMBER,
    pkname VARCHAR2(100);
    pkcity VARCHAR2(100);
    pkcounty VARCHAR2(100)
CREATE OR REPLACE TYPE DEMO.FIRST_RECORDTYPETAB AS TABLE OF FIRST_RECORDTYPE;Here is the query generated at runtime and is inside a LOOP
    --I initialize my Object Type*
    data := new FIRST_RECORDTYPETAB();
    FOR some_cursor IN c_get_ids (username)
    LOOP
    x_context_count := x_context_count + 1;
-- here I build the query dynamically and the same query generated is
sql_query := 'SELECT pkid as pid ,pkname as pname, pkcity as pcity, pkcounty as pcounty FROM cities WHERE passed = <this value changes on every iteration of the cursor>'
-- and now I need to execute the above query but need to store the output
    EXECUTE IMMEDIATE sql_query
INTO *<I need to save the out put in the Type I defined>*
    END LOOP;
How can I save the output of the dynamically built query in the Object Type. As I am looping so the type can have several records.
    Any help is appreciated.

    Hi
You can write a external Subroutine to fetch the extra data into the script program
    see the following sample code
How to call a subroutine form SAPscripts

    COPING SCRIPT
There are some Standard Sap Scripts in SAP. We cant directly execute them in scripts we have to use some T-codes and by giving some input to the required fields we can see the output printform.
I will show one example. There are some Standard Sap Scripts such as MEDRUCK which is a standard Sap Script for Purchase Order and RVINVOICE01 for billing and so on...
To see oupt of MEDRUCK go to T-code ME9F give purchase order number and execute select one number and click on dislplay messages button on application tool bar you can find the print form of MEDRUCK.
You cannot change the Standard Sap Scripts but you can use Standard Sap Scripts and Copy them to userdefined Script and can make changes to them and replace standard Sap Script with usedefind script.
    Ex: Go to SE71,
on menu bar u find Utilities->copy from Client. click on it u ll find new screen showing
    Form name:
    Source Clinet:
    Target Form:
give Form name as usedefined form name EX: ZFORM1
    Source client as 000 and
    Target form as MEDRUCK.
    execute.
Now, the standard from MEDRUCK is copyied to your form ZFORM1.
NOW, go to SE71 and give form name as ZFORM1 and do some changes to the form such as adding logo any thing. save and Activate.
Now, you have done changes to the Form ZFORM1 and u have to replace your form with standard SAP Script.
    Go to NACE Transaction.
on Applications select EF for purchase order and click Output types button on application tool bar.
now select NEU as output types dobule click on Processing Routines.
now click on Change option on application tool bar and on right side u find MEDRUCK in form place replace MEDRUCK with ZFORM1 and SAVE.
go back twice and now go to T-code ME9F give the purchase order number and execute and select one option and click on display messges button .
you will find the changes that you have done in ZFORM1. so we cant chage the standard Sap Scripts by copying the Standard Sap Scripts we can chage and replace with our forms

  • How to replace content in text data type?

How to replace content in text data type?
when we sending the mails we are taking content from the database.
The data is maintained in text data type column. Now i have to replace some of content in mail content
(text data type column) from database.
I tried by using REPLACE function but data is truncated

The data is maintained in text data type column.
    Hello,
    See REPLACE (Transact-SQL) => "If
string_expression is not of type varchar(max) or
    nvarchar(max), REPLACE
truncates the return value at 8,000 Bytes"
You may should consider to Change the data type from "Text" (deprecated) to NVarChar(max).
    Otherwise you have to use
UPDATETEXT (Transact-SQL) for the text data type.

  • How to keep track of the changes done in ALV GRID Report

    Hi Experts,
how to keep track of the changed record in ALV GRID Report. how to set the field to be editable even for the entire row also. Can anybody guide along with code also?...
    Valuable answers will be rewarded.
    Thanks,
    Satish.

    Hi,
Access the table through SM30. It comes blank as standard. Click "New Entries" and make entries for changes to be tracked. For example, whenever an org. unit changes 002 and 003 relationship, you will make entries like:
    01 O 1001 B002 Activate box checked
    01 O 1001 B003 Activate box checked
Here, 01 is your active plan version, O is org. unit, 1001 is infotype and B002 and B003 are the subtypes. You can also use * for infotype and subtype which means every change will be logged.
If you then run the report RHCDOC_DISPLAY through SA38, it will pick up all the changes pertaining to B002 and B003 relationship for org. units (in the above example).
Similarly, you can set up this table for other object types.
For more information, follow SPRO>Personnel Management>OM>Basic Settings>Activate change documents and go through the documentation for that node. Also, read up the documentation for the report.
    Hope this helps.

    Hi
    Try to read the below:
WPBPC : Distribute Lump Sum Wage Elements to WPBP Periods
      Object
        Operation
      Use
Operation WPBPC distributes the amount of the current wage type to the
active WPBP periods in the payroll period.
      Input
The current wage type in the header entry of table OT is used as input
        for this operation.
      Procedure
Within payroll, wage types are assigned to a fixed WPBP period by
infotype 0014 Recurring Payments/Deductions, for example. However, you
may want to distribute this payment to all active WPBP periods, which is
what would happen if the wage type were entered in basic pay. Therefore,
various specifications exist for parameter S:
o   If the specification is 'A', and if several active WPBP periods
exist, the amount is simultaneously reduced on a calendar-day basis.
o   If the specification is 'D', the wage type is distributed to all
existing WPBP periods without the amount being reduced.
o   If the specification is 'S', and if the validity period starts or
ends during the period, the entry in table WPBP is split using this
date. The wage type is stored in table OT for the corresponding WPBP
            period.
This parameter is only allowed if processing was accessed using
           function P0014.
In this case, infotype 0014 must be processed before absence
valuation and function PARTT. Otherwise, rejections occur during
           payroll processing.
o   Specification 'X' is the combination of 'A' and 'S'.
This parameter is only allowed if processing was accessed using
           function P0014.
o   If the specification is 'W', and if the validity period starts or
ends during the period, the entry in table WPBP is split using this
date (as with option 'S'). Unlike 'S', the wage type is not stored
           in table OT.
This parameter is only allowed if processing was accessed using
           function P0014.
o   If the specification is ' ', the wage type is stored in table OT for
each WPBP period in which the validity interval fits.
This parameter is only allowed if processing was accessed using
           functions P0014 or P0015.
If the WPBP split is set for a wage type, the wage type is stored
without changes in table OT. If you specify a different wage type name
in the second parameter, the wage type is stored with this name in table
OT. Before you execute operation WPBPC, you may therefore need to delete
       the split using operation ELIMI.
If a country-specific split (C1, C2, or C3 split) is set, the operation
interprets it as an error. The employee in question is rejected by
payroll. All other splits are transferred as they are.
      Output
The processed wage type, or the wage type specified in the operation
call, is written to table OT (output table) with the appropriate split
indicator and reduced amount as operation output for each WPBP period.
Parameter specification 'W' is the only exception.
      Syntax
        OOOOOSVVVV
        OOOOO       WPBPC       Operation name
        S
blank       distribute to all WPBP periods
                    S           split and distribute WPBP
W           split but do not distribute WPBP
A           distribute to active WPBP periods
                                with calendar-day reductions
                    D           distribute to all existing
                                WPBP periods
                    X           combination of 'S' and 'A'
        VVVV                    Results wage type
blank       input wage type = results wage type
wage        wage type name of input wage type is replaced
type       by wage type name of results wage
                     name       type
        Wage type before operation:
      Example
        M100        02          3000
        WPBP split
        01  June 01 - June 20 active
        02  June 21 - June 30 active
        VVVV                    Results wage type

  • How to make teststand understand I64 data type

I am calling one Labview VI in teststand where the input is numeric (representaion I-64).
Under the Module Section the Parameter Name, Type, In/Out, Default information is grayed out for the input.
Teststand understand the input if I change the same control to I32 type.
How can I make teststand understand I64 type of input?
    Thanks,
    Vidula

As a workaround, if you could convert it to a double in LV, you could still do math and comparisons with it as a single value in TestStand. To do this, you would have to be sure your value won't ever exceed the maximum integer range a double can losslessly represent, which I think is around 2^52.
For example, I think this would be an option if your value represented a file size in bytes for a file that you know is guaranted to always be smaller than a petabyte.
