How to do MouseEvents from a Canvas??????

Question

Below is a simplified version of code that I use to paint a scheme. It paints a huge amount of buttons. Now I want to create a mouseEvent that understands which of the buttons that is clicked (thus where in the canvas the mousebutton was clicked). From this a window will open that books the specified scheme-post.

the best choice is to set a listener to each component you put inside of the canvas.
you can use Labels instead of String in the SchemaKnapp class:
class SchemaKnapp extends Label
   int bankNr;
   SchemaKnapp(int _bankNr, String _solTid)
      bankNr=_bankNr;
      setText(String.valueOf(bankNr) + " " + solTid);
public class SchemaKnappsTest extends Frame implements MouseListener {
     for(int j=0; j<10000; j++)
       schemaknapps[j] = new SchemaKnapp(j, "s");
       schemaknapps[j].addMouseListener(this);
// here you should implement the mouse listener...
}
