How to download the file Interactive report

Hi ,
I am using that Issue Tracker 1.0 in APEX 4. I added one more item as File upload. Here we uploading screen shots. Now what happened when i press the create button the file name got stored in my table. the file stored in Apex_Application_files.
After inserting the data its shows the Interactive report ,In that report i have a download link for each and every issue when i pressed the button the corresponding file should be come...
How to download that particular file. ?????
In that report there is a option for Link URL in that URL manually i passed on file id. Its working..
Now i have one item i stored the file id. How to pass the Item to My URL??
Please help me out.

One field is missing in downloading the file from report

Hi Friends,
I have a problem with downloading the file from SAP.
Actually the report has to download 6 fields from the list of the report to a .txt file on the presentation server. But it is downloading only 5 fields. The missing field is DEA#. Actually now i have to fix that problem.
I found that in the download process they have not inlcuded the DEA# field.
Here in this 1 field is not getting dowloading from the list of the report to the text file.
I'm giving a portion of the code.
Like this they r calling the FM:
FORM DOWNLOAD_FILE.
CALL FUNCTION 'DOWNLOAD'
       EXPORTING
            FILENAME = P_OUTFIL
       TABLES
            DATA_TAB = I_OUTPUT.
IF SY-SUBRC <> 0.
    WRITE:/ 'Error downloading file'.
ENDIF.
in code we have,
data: v_output type t_output,
data: i_output type t_output occurs 0.
and,

when i debug the program,
the record field is showing only the 5 fields not the missing 6th filed)DEA#).
and we have another FORM :

      Insert tabs between fields so when uploaded in Excel, the
      record will be separated into columns where a tab is found.

If you look into this FM, there is no mention of DEA# field,
i hve tried to correct it by adding the "v_likp_dea" in the FM. when i did like this it is showing the DEA# field in the downloaded .txt file but only 1 value for all the records.
My question is for each record i have to show its unique DEA#.
I guess i could do this by putting it in loop, could anybody tell me how i can i do that, Please

In the subroutine format_file_with_tabs ,
You should read it_likp with the key that uniquely identifies for dea# . This should be done in the loop at i_kna1.
Suppose kunnr identifies a unique dea# in it_likp internal table , then you should write
FORM FORMAT_FILE_WITH_TABS.
LOOP AT I_KNA1 INTO V_KNA1.
clear v_likp.
read table it_likp into v_likp
   with key kunnr = v_kna1-kunnr binary search.   (should sort the itab to use binary search with read. )
CONCATENATE: V_KNA1-KUNNR
V_KNA1-NAME1
V_KNA1-NAME2
V_KNA1-STRAS
V_KNA1-ORT01
V_KNA1-REGIO

How to download the files, that are located in server, from the client?

Hello folks,
My program is like that, the files are located in the server and stored in file system.
I can only know the server name and the directory listing, so that I can show the file names from that directory on the browser.
The user might downloads those files from the browser and he might deletes those files through the browser.
That user has valid right to do so and the files can be any type of extension.
So how can I write this kind of program? Currently the whole system is in struts, so how can I make compatible with struts technology?
Do u have any ideas?

Thank you, grigpm. But actually I want the user to select the file that he wants to download rather than setting it in the configuration file. If it is possible, let me see the sample code of FileManager servlet. I've tried with some ways but I can only download from the same server with the application server. I want to download from different server. I hope someone can help me with sample code....

Hi Nagalakshmi,
If you want to download a file on to the presentation server from your application then please have a look at the methods listed under the OO class CL_GUI_FRONTEND_SERVICES from transaction SE24 to perform similar operations as requested by you on files on presentation server.
However if u are considering downloading and then deleting a file on the application server, then u would need commands like OPEN DATASET, TRANSFER and CLOSE and eventually DELETE DATASET.
F1 on the commands should help you along.

Dear Experts,
    We are using FM: GUI_DOWNLOAD to download the data in .XLSX Format,But it is giving ERROR while opening the Excel file.
So,Please help me how to download the file in .XLSX format.
checked DC30 - for file extensions..there we were observed the suffix field is taking only 3 characters,it is not accepting 4 characters,kindly tel me how to increase the field size for SUFFIX field.
and USED : CL_GUI_ALV_GRID and CL_GUI_FRONTEND_SERVICES.
Still Not possible to download the data in XLSX format.
Kindly Provide the Solution.

I am able to download the BLocked ALV output in PDF format,
but the each bolck in ALV is displaying different pages of PDF.
In my report I have 4 block in 1 page, I am able to see the output in PDF but in different page.
How to avoid the Page-break in PDF.

hi,
I believe that your have 4 containers on the screen with individual ALV display. in this case, there is no way to get combined PDF output to my knowledge.
However you can use Smartform/Sapscript as output which would allow you to display ALV in blocks and also print it in one.

Hi,
In order to download a file from application layer to a local file in background,
first write a report(ZREPORT1) in which do the following steps:
OPEN DATASET g_file_1 FOR INPUT IN TEXT MODE ENCODING DEFAULT.
loop the g_file and append all the data into another internal table.
end of this report you shd have all the data in the application layer file into your internal table.
Now create another report(ZREPORT2) and submit this report in background.
that is,
JOB_OPEN
JOB_SUBMIT and
JOB_CLOSE
and in job_submit submit ZREPORT1 which downloads the file in application layer.

I know one method to convert the sapscript to pdf file :
first generate a Spool Request for the required Sapscript
then goto transaction SP01 and copy the generated Spool Request number
now execute the SAP report RSTXPDFT4
here enter the copied Spool request number and the target directory into the parameters
execute the report
required pdf file will be generated into the target directory
