How to drop an object through OMB+

Need to check if a Mapping exists, and then drop it.
How is it possible?
OMBCC works on Runtime, and following message comes
PUB01010: Object is not deletable.
- Jojo

Well, the answer to how to check for and drop if neccessary a mapping is something like:
OMBCC 'MyProject'
OMBCC 'MyModule'
set lst [OMBLIST MAPPINGS]
if {[string match *MY_MAPPING_NAME* $lst]} {
OMBDROP MAPPING 'MY_MAPPING_NAME'
Although, to be honest, it would be just as efective to arbitrarily simply try and drop the mapping first and ignore any not found errors that get returned.
As to the rest, you should be able to simply redeploy a new version without any issues. As it is Pl/Sql generated code, there shouldn't be any problems with overwriting the old copy. Now, you probably need to set the deployment plan to be a "REPLACE" rather than a "CREATE", so here is where it might be that you want to check for existance of an old version prior to creating the deployment plan, but dropping a pre-existing version is just as valid.

  • How to drop schema objects without dropping user in one pass?

    HI,
    I am after some PL/SQL that can drop all the objects that a user has, without dropping the user himself.
    I can write a query that spool SQL to a script to drop all the appropriate objects, but it has to be run multiple times as some things can not be dropped before other objects which may appear later in the script.
    I want a script that developers can run once to drop all their objects.
    Can anyone point me in the right direction?
    Thanks

    Hi,
    but it has to be run multiple times as some things can not be dropped beforeDid you use cascade constraints ?
    select 'drop '||object_type||' '|| object_name||  DECODE(OBJECT_TYPE,'TABLE',' CASCADE CONSTRAINTS;',';')
    from user_objects
    I want a script that developers can run once to drop all their objects.With a PL/SQL, and a loop on user_object.
    But if you drop all objects, why not drop/recreate user ?

  • Objects through servlet

    How to pass the object through servlet?

    I can venture a guess that the OP wants to 'send' an object as a request parameter or a form field.
    You'd have to turn the object into some data representation that can later on be translated back into the object; serialization comes to mind. It might be easier to just send the properties of the object as seperate request/form fields though!

    You can invoke BAM Webservices (Using Oracle BAM Web Services) or use JMS integration using Enterprise Message Sources (http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E17904_01/integration.1111/e10224/bam_ent_msg_sources.htm)

  • How to create object through  transaction snro

    Hi ,
       I want to create an object through Snro transaction.
    I dont know how to use this transaction.
    Please Help.
    Thanks in advance.
    Nikita

    Nikita,
    Based on the transaction code, respective function consultant will create number range.
    If u want a number series for some other purpose in ur program u can create object in snro as below.
    1. Enter a object name and click 'CREATE' button
    2. In the next screen give relevant description
    3. In 'Number length domain' field u can specify the length of number .. example if u give char10, then it will be a ten digit number series.
    4.Enter warning percentage.. the purpose is to throw warning message 10 % before when ur number series about to exhaust.
    5. After entering those details --> press save button.
    6. Again come to main screen (SNRO initial screen) then click number raneg tab inthe application tool bar.it will take u to next screen.
    7. In that click internal change push button
    8. IN the resulting screen enter ur number range series,
    example
    01     00000001     09999999
    02     10000000     19999999 etc
    9. click save button..NOw ur number series is ready for use.

  • How to organize the context object through out the application process

    Hi,
    Here in my application is using the following steps for a process.
    - Login
    - Search
    - Update
    - Logout
    In those above steps, Login, Search, and Update actions are touching to database/LDAP every time. In each time, Im creating new Context object, I think this is a bad approach. When I hit the login, I need to get the connection object and use that for rest of the actions(search and update).
    So can we organize the single context object through out the application? And where do we need to close the Context object?

    Don't worry about it. The provider will reuse connections behind the scenes. They're not tied directly to Contexts.

  • How to pass serialized object and the string through the socket together?

    I have an application which listens on a port and I usually read string lines from it. Now I want to pass serialised object through it , plus I should indicate (using some string like "object coming") tht the following packet is a serialized object.

    Since Strings are serializable you could just send a stream of serialized objects then you don't have to know anything about the format.

  • How to Create Resource Object in OIM through SQL queries or OIM APIs

    Hello,
    I have to create few (100) resource Objects in OIM. I was creating manually through Design console one by one. In future we might need to create many more Resource Objects .It takes lot of time if we do it through Manually.
    Is there any possiblity we can create Resource Objects through SQL query or OIM APIs ???
    Thanks!!

    Yes. I do it all the time.
    If you are using 11G 11.1.1.3
    Go here
    http://fredforester.org/code/xmlstarters/
    Download the files.
    RESCFORM.xml is an example resource built from the template
    buildtemplate.sh is a shell script that creates a resource from the template
    index.php - you dont need this
    templateresource.xml - this is the template resource. it was created by building a simple resource with all its basic tasks and components then editing it and renaming things so I can find them with sed
    to create Resource C you would
    ./buildtemplate.sh RESCFORM "Resc Resource" "Resc Process"
    you would end up with a file called RESCFORM.xml where when imported would have
    UD_RESCFORM
    Resc Resource Resouce Defintion
    Resc Process Process Defition with basic tasks pointing to a dummy adapter.
    You can optionally create your own prepop so it will get assigned to the form when you import.
    Good luck

  • Export mappings through OMB plus

    Hi All,
    We have developed 125 mappings across 10 modules. I wanted all mappings .Mdl files separately (E.g : we have mapping names are abc and xyz… we need to mdl file abc.mdl and xyz.mdl).
    If I export mappings in Design Center mapping wise it will take alot of to complete/get individual scripts (.mdl)
    I heard for time consuming and security wise we should use OMB plus.
    Any one helps me to export mappings individually through OMB.
    Is there any way to pass mapping name should export the mapping with log file?
    Thanks and Regards
    Venkat

    OK, here is a script that you will be able to adapt get you to where you want to go. Bear in mind that it uses a config file to hold some variables, and library file which I shall also attach.
    This script isn't exaclty what you are asking, but it's pretty close. The reason I made this script was to be able to create a clone of an existing project through OMB+ becuase in our corporate dev environment I couldn't lock down the repository in exclusive mode to do this in a simple copy/paste. The script uses a bit of a work-around because the MDL files include full path names, meaning if you export from project A it will want to import into project A. So if I want to import them into project B I take the existing project A, rename it to the desired new name (B), do the export (on a per-unit basis as you want), then rename the existing project back to what it was (A), create the new empty project (B) and import the objects now that the naming structures will match. (whew - did you catch all that?)
    Anyway, here is the script. It uses standard TCL for a lot of the file stuff (glob etc), and for cycling through the modules and objects using the TCL foreach statement. Don't worry about the functions you don't recognize like exec_omb. They are in the library (coming up next), which just has to be colocated with the script for the script to reference at runtime:

  • Creation of Order Object through DAF pipeline

    Hi all,
    Like how a transient profile object is created through DAF pipeline in the ProfileRequestServlet, i know there is an order object also created like profile, but i want to know which RequestPipeline is creating it????

    Hi,
    Transient orders are not created by the servlet pipeline. The closest analog in the servlet pipeline is that CommerceProfileRequestServlet for an auto-login only, will load an existing order on the profile, thereby creating an OrderImpl object in the session for that order.
    Transient, new orders are created by any reference in your page code to ShoppingCart.current (OrderHolder.getCurrent() call in the code). For a registered user, this will only happen if that user has no current order from a previous visit, but for anonymous users (if anonymous users and orders are not being persisted), this will tend to happen with any new visit (after the previous anonymous session has timed out) as most pages on a commerce site do reference ShoppingCart.current.
    Both of these behaviors are perfectly correct and necessary for ATG Commerce to function. No attempt should be made to prevent them. If you believe any of this is causing a problem for your site, you should post a thread about that problem itself, and I'm sure there will be suggestions as to how to avoid it.
    Thanks.

  • How to determine the object in the tablespace

    Hi
    I have a problem with my database, How can i determine the object in the tablespace
    and how do move old tablespace into new tablespace and how to drop existing tablespace.
    Thanks

    Hi,
    If you want to find for all objects information, you can use dba_segments and filter this against the tablespace name. Once done you can create another tablespace and move the objects from old tablespace to new tablespace. Later you can drop the old tablepspace. You can use the below mention commands also:
    SELECT 'ALTER TABLE '|| table_name ||' MOVE TABLESPACE USERS;'
    FROM user_tables WHERE tablespace_name='MY_TableSpace';
    SELECT 'ALTER INDEX '|| index_name ||' REBUILD TABLESPACE USERS;'
    FROM user_indexes WHERE tablespace_name='MY_TableSpace';
    SELECT 'ALTER TABLE '|| table_name ||' MOVE LOB ('
    || column_name ||') STORE AS (TABLESPACE USERS);'
    FROM user_lobs WHERE tablespace_name='MY_TableSpace';
    On the other hand,
    You can also export a backup of the source tablespace and import into the target tablespace.

    Hi,
    You are running a jsp report through rwservlet. In this case paper layout will be displayed. You have to deploy your jsp as web report to get the web layout. Please refer to the doc below, which describes how to deploy the web report.
    http://download-uk.oracle.com/docs/html/B10314_01/pbr_run.htm#1011901
    To run the jsp report, URL may look like
    http://www.wwt.com/reports/<jsp name>?<parameter list>
    Hope this helps
