How to edit OIM form filed properties

There is pre-existing OIM form for Xellerate User resource object. The Name of the form is Users.
I know that I can add additional fields to this form using 'User Defined Fields Definition' tab.
But I need to be able to edit properties of existing fields of this form, such as 'Organization', 'First Name' etc...
Let's say, by default 'Organization' field is required, and I want make it optional. What should I do?
I know that all inputs for Users form are validated using tcUSRcheckACT system adapter. Which java package contains this adapter?

Modifying the Users form is all done through the FormMetaData.xml file. You can modify any of the entries as you like through this. However, you cannot modify the Organization field. There is a check on the pre-insert for tcUSRcheckACT that you cannot modify and this checks to verify you have supplied an organization, but i think it's mapped to the default field type and whatnot.
You might be able to remove it if you export the tcUSR data object and modify the values in the XML and then import, but that might be a mess.
Anyway, on the FormMetaData.xml file, you declare all your values and field labels and such, and then below that display them on the form as needed.

  • How to edit task form generated from human task (.jspx)???

I created simple SOA application with simple Human task (from this tutorial http://redstack.wordpress.com/2010/01/08/human-workflow-in-11g/ but it doesnt matter) in JDeveloper. Then I generated standard form from human task (Human task -> Auto-Generate Task Form).
The question is, how to make own form? Not the generated default, but with my own logic...That form is jspx, not jsp, and thats the main problem, in this JDeveloper everything is a bit complicated.
I tried delete whole generated content, and just import my created file.jsp into jspx like below, but without result. How to import jsp into jspx? I dont want to completely rewrite my existing jsp into jspx and copy it over default...

  • How to create OIM form through code

    Hi,
As per requirement, I have to create OIM form by calling createForm(hashmap) method in my code but not sure what parameter i need to paas as hashmap for this method.
If any one can give me some idea about this or any other way of doing this.
    Thanks

    Hay Martin,
I think he is talking about creating object and process form on the fly(Thats a weired requirement). To find out the key-value pair for map you need to do following.
1.Go to the lookup definition and search for structure
2.You will get lot of field related with structure utility for example: Structure Utility.Table Name,Structure Utility.Description and few more fields.Pass these field as a key in map and put the desired value.
3.The map should contain all the required field value as it is needed at the time of form creation from design console.
I have not done it before so I can not tell you exact key value pair needed for createForm () method but th above can be good starting point.Just play with few value and you will get the right combination.
    Hope this will help.

  • Edit a form in Acrobat but NOT in Designer

I have Adobe Acrobat Professional 8.1.7 on Windows XP SP3. What I want to know is how to edit a form in Acrobat without using LiveCycle Designer. Here's the issue: with a PDF open (generated via either a print job or File>Create PDF) under the Forms menu the first option is 'Create New Form...' and the second - greyed out - is 'Edit Form in Acrobat'. The problem is that if I run the option 'Create New Form...' then when I return to the menu the second option - now available - is 'Edit Form in Designer'... but I don't want to use Designer I want to use Acrobat. What do I have to do to make the 'Edit Form in Acrobat' option available? Thank you.

    Bernd,
    THANK YOU!
If only the Help explained so simply and well for those of us who have barely used Acrobat...
    Best regards,
Julian ('For God's Sake...' followed a quarter of an hour of refusals of all my other screen names)

  • How to export a Form edited in LC Design to still be editable in Acrobat Pro

First off, I’m a new to Forms and how they work.
I created a PDF Form in Acrobat Pro from an existing Word Document. The Form was setup with some functionality like automatically assigning the current Date in a field for when the document is accessed.  It consists of 3 signature fields, and was setup to auto populates the signature dates when the person signing captures their name. Each signature block also has code to auto generates an email to be sent after signing. Everything works fine one the From.
My Problem is that I now need to add extra columns and text onto the Form. Unfortunately Acrobat Pro does not allow me to make the content changes required. So I imported a copy of the Form into LC Design and was able to make the required changes. But now none of the functionality seems to work. And when I save it and open the PDF in Acrobat, as soon as I try to Edit the Form it want to re-launce the LC Designer.
I either need to get the functionality to work through LC Designer, or have a way to make the form work again through Acrobat Pro.

    Hi George,
thank you for your suggestion. I was not aware of this option. I've tried it and it does seem to be the option with the least amount of work to keep the functionality of the form in tact. I only need to make minor ajustments to the Field locations now but the code and everything else seems to still be in place.
    thank you once again.

  • Urgent (sort-of) How do you edit the form of typefaces/fonts or create your own ??

Hey im very new to illustrator- but i really need to do this project.  I am unable to learn the basics because of time.
This is what i want to do: (please help im clueless at the mo)
Basically i want to edit the forms of a  san serif type ( or make my own (if it is easy)) .
I want to edit type because im making an animation where the font letters are morphing in to other letters.
    ei - A into B into C ect .
i can draw this - the problem is that im gonna have to 100s if i want a smooth animation and i would of thought using illustrator would be alot quicker and  i can use more frames.
how would i go about this ?
Also what size do you reccomend .

    zosspro,
You may have a look at blends.
If you wish to have a number of steps from one shape to another (outlined Type or whatever), you may:
    1) Place the start shape to the left and the end shape to the right (with the centres at the same Y value) with a suitable distance so yo can see what you are doing;
    2) Object>Blend>Blend Options, set Spacing to Specified Steps with the number of inbetween shapes, set Orientation to Align to Page or Path as desired, if relevant;
    3) Select both shapes form 1) and Object>Blend>Make.
You can now see all the intermnediate shapes. You can Undo and make changes, and you can Object>Blend>Expand if you wish to have all the steps as independent objects (you may Ungroup them).
You can also make a blend between three or more objects to start with, with the same distances and number of steps between the original shapes, and you can combine (the objects from) blends.

You cannot edit/redesign PDF form in FormsCentral. If you designed your form in FormsCentral and then saved/exported it as a PDF form you will have to edit the original form in FormsCentral and export the PDF again once done.

  • How to edit text in a form edited in LCD / Acrobat 9?

So I have a few minor edits to a form that was created in LCD 9 and Acrobat Pro 9.  Apparently this seemingly simple task is now impossible with the latest versions.  When I try to edit it in Acrobat XI I get the message "This form cannot be edited in Acrobat" but I have no way to edit the text in LCD.
Are users of forms from release 9 really stranded?

I may still have a version of AA9 available to play with. If so, I will try to check things out and see if there are alternatives. Of course, you could recreate the form in Acrobat XI (that is where printing to a new PDF or extracting the info would be useful). You could also try Forms Central that is part of XI. It may be that Forms Central can deal with a LCD form, never tried it (but I tend to doubt it). If you did not use any of the fancy features of LCD forms, you might be better off just transferring it to AcroForms in XI.
OK, I opened an AcroForms file in Designer for AA9 and saved. I then opened the file in AA9 and was surprised that I would edit the text of the form. When I went to edit the form fields it took me to Designer as would be expected. I played around in Designer a bit and could not find a way to edit the text, but the text could be edited in AA9. I think this is what you had described.
I then opened the LCD form in AA XI and found the same result that you did. I was not able to edit either the text or the forms. However, I was able to export the form with most fields to DOCX. The result was pretty good for the form I was working with (suggesting it had reasonable tagging -- but that may also have been done by Designer, I am not sure). There were a few form fields that did not seem to come out, but most did on the 4 page form. I then used PDF Maker to create a new PDF and the result gave most of the form fields, similar to the docx file. It may be that this conversion process might be the most useful, unless you possibly have a form with dynamic fields that is unique in Designer.
Hope that at least clarifies a few things for all of us and gives you some ideas. You might find additional input from the folks in the forms sub-forum.

  • How can I edit a form that has "Extend Features in Adobe Reader"?

I created a form in Adobe Acrobat Pro 9 and added Extend Features in Adobe Reader. I need to edit the form, but "Save a Copy" isn't removing the "Extend Features...". I get an error message that I can't edit the form & to "save a copy" in order to edit. What can I do?

When I saw the responses, I pulled out an old version and started over. I already deleted the one that wouldn't revert from extended functions and the copy I created to edit it based on removing extended functions with "save a copy". Thanks anyway. I'd love to know why it wouldn't remove extended functions.

  • How to edit fields on a distributed form?

Hello all, I am very new to adobe so please excuse me if this is a basic concept I have missed.
I created a PDF form and then generated a distributed file that I have been using to do a significant amount of data entry.  I assumed that the distributed file was what I send to all of the data entry team.  I now want to make changes to some of the fields, e.g. adding new ones, deleting old ones.  I tried doing this to the distributed file directly and every time I attempt to edit the form fields Adobe crashes on me.  This raises a number of questions.
    1) Am I not intended to be able to edit the fields directly on the distributed file?  Do I need to go back to the original file and edit there, then create a new distributed file?
    2) If I don't create a new distributed file and there is a way to add/delete fields, what happens to :
         A) the new fields that did not exist on prior responses, will values in this column simply be blank on old responses in my spreadsheet?
         B) the old fields that no longer exist on new responses, will there similarly be a column that is perpetually empty in new responses that will contain data from prior ones
    3) If I do have to create a new distributed file for every edit I do of the original form, is the easiest way to merge data into one spreadsheet by an en masse copy and paste from one excel spreadsheet into another?  Is there a way to ensure the columns will all line up (e.g. do I need to make sure that the tab order places newly created fields at the end?)
    Thank you!

Yes, you should make edits to the original form, as it was before you went through the Distribute Form process.
If you make changes, you will have to distribute the new version. The data won't get collected in tracker as though it were the same form. And yes, you will need to somehow manage the differences in the spreadsheet for the different forms since they will likely have different columns. Acrobat won't help you with this.
