How to enable auto update by Installation parameter

i'm trying to install flashplayer11-2_p5_install_win_ax32_013112.exe by command line FP*.exe /install.
after the installation completed, i check the Update option in control panel.
The "Notify me when updates are available" option is aways selected. It seems that is the default settings.
now, I'd like to know is there any parameter can enable this option "Install Update automatically when possible" druing silent installing.

Hi All,,
Got solution. call checkUpdate() function in application level initialize event.
private function checkUpdate() : void
appUpdater.updateURL = "http://www.aa.com/flex/aa/NativeUpdater.xml";
appUpdater.addEventListener(UpdateEvent.INITIALIZED, updater_initializedHandler);
//we can hide the dialog asking for permission for checking for a new update;
//if you want to see it just leave the default value (or set true).
appUpdater.isCheckForUpdateVisible = false;
//we initialize the updater
appUpdater.initialize();
* Handler function for updater_initializedHandler events triggered by the ApplicationUpdater.INITIALIZED
* @param updater_initializedHandler
protected function updater_initializedHandler(event:UpdateEvent):void
//initializeHandler();
appUpdater.checkNow();
In NativeUpdater.xml

<update xmlns="http://ns.adobe.com/air/framework/update/description/1.0">
<version>2.0</version>

* This a Win update

</update>
Upload NativeUpdater.xml file on your Server. When you open your old .air file it will ask for replace with new version.

• How to disable auto update for corporate installation

I've scoured the forums for this information and was not successful locating a viable answer.
We need to update 1500 corporate clients to the latest version of QT, but we need the auto update feature turned off when the upgrade is complete. We do this for two reasons: 1) Users do not have permissions to run the installer, so even if they wanted to run the update they would be unsuccessful, and 2) we need to test any updates before they are distributed to the general population.
For past versions we created a QTP file with the auto update turned off, then placed it into the C:\documents and settings\all users\application date\apple computer\quicktime folder. This method is no longer successful.
Changing the settings for each individual user is not an option, we need a method that will change the setting for any past, current, or future user on all of our computers.
Any guidance is appreciated.

Trying to figure out the same thing. I came across the following two links but I don't think they will disable the updates to community help itself. So from what I can gather you need to do the following:
Turn off autoupdates to AIR (See below)
Turn off updates to Community Help (No clue how to do this)
Install Local content (See below)
Disables updates to AIR

Turn off internet access/help and copy local help

Turn off internet access (not sure if you need to do this one and the one above or just the one above)

You can download the latest version of AIR and Community Help.

• How to use auto update in android ?

hi,
i want to use adobe air auto update in android devices.. what can i do ?

Did you install the maintenance service properly in download and install updates in the background?
*Tools > Options > Advanced > Update: "Use a background service to install updates"
*https://support.mozilla.org/kb/what-mozilla-maintenance-service
If updating Firefox isn't working properly then this could be that the maintenance service isn't installed and enabled properly or not allowed in security software.
The maintenance service can be uninstalled separately, it shows up as a new item under add/remove programs.
You can try to uninstall and reinstall the maintenance service as a user by running the installer file in the Firefox program folder.

• How do I auto-update the date (in a footer) in Pages 5.2.2 ?

I have inserted the date into the footer of my document. I am running Pages 5.2.2 on Mavericks.
I would like the date to auto-update to today's date. I found a post from 2013 ( How to auto-update Time and Date?), but my version of pages doesn't work as described. The only choice is update to today's date as a button I can manually click, but there doesn't seem to be an auto-update check box anymore. Is there a new way to do it or has the feature been removed?

Hi Cindy,
Click once in the Footer.
Menu > Insert > Date & Time.
Double click to select the Date & Time in the Footer and choose a Date & Time format
And there is also the Set to Today button.
Waiting several minutes (just enough time for a cup of coffee) and then clicking the Set to Today button, the time changes from 9:53 pm to 9:59 pm.
I can't wait until tomorrow to see if the date changes, but I think it will .
Another way (clunky) is to insert a single-cell table somewhere in your document and type =now and format to your liking.
As far as I know, Date & Time will update after you Save and then Open your document. Please call back after you test.
Regards,
Ian.

Unless until it is a Manual Journal, SLA page doesn't give you the provision to change them.
Even for Manual Journal, it won't allow you to change, if that is transferred to GL.
Only option is to UNDO the accounting and correct the setup to create correct journals. You may contact Oracle Support.

Hi Friends,
I am a newbee into this.I am trying to install a customized Adobe Flash Player 10.2.153.1 in which auto updates are disabled. I went through the Adobe guidelines and found that it is possible to do the same using a MMS.CFG file. Can anyone tell me how exactly this would look like. I will be extremely thankful if someone can attach a sample of the same.
One more question...
When we disable auto updates using mms.cfg file, will this be updated in the Global Settings Manager ?
Tries from my end till now:
I tried to create a mms.cfg by editing a txt file and adding "AutoUpdateDisable=0 " and then saving teh same as mms.cfg using UTF-8 encoding. this didnt make any difference in the Global Settings manager.
Please help me...

No, I don't think so; these settings are stored in a different place.
Some users have reported that AutoUpdateDisable via mms.cfg does no longer work in Flash Player 10.3. Please check if this failure already occurs in Flash Player 10.2.

• Enable auto update while deploying Reader 11 via group policy

I would like to push the latest adobe reader 11 out via group policy. I have tried using the adobe customization wizard but I am unable to set the installs to auto update. They default to download the update and prompt the user. I do'nt want the user to be prompted at all. I just want it to automatically update. Is there an easy way to deploy this?
I would like it to be like flash. You can deploy the mms.cfg file and it configured flash to auto update.
Thanks,
Justin

can any body give me the details how to achive it.
Thanks & regards,
k azamtulla khan.

Hi,
firstly there are two threads for the same issue from youself(excluding this one) which is a waste of others time so kindly refrain from doing so and use one thread.
OWB: how can automatic updation perform in staging database using OWB
OWB: how to use insert/update table operator for target table
secondly, with regards to the options , here are some options:
1. Use trigger for update.
2. Use materialized view(refresh on commit)
3. Use oracle advance queing mechanism (OAQ) for queing the recent inserted/updated records.
Kindly close other threads and maintain just one thread.

• Lack of weekly auto-update prevents installation of Flash 11.7

Previously every Monday, I would get a prompt to update Flash Player on start-up. Click okay, it would remind me that I'm doing this manually, then it would automatically update the version. Done in five minutes.
For 2 weeks I've come in, and the Download button not only opens a browser(!) but asks for the re-download procedure on http://get2.adobe.com/flashplayer/ -- which I have in the past reported to be inoperable for me. The downloaded exe will fail to initialize no matter if all my anti-virus and firewalls are down. Which is dangerous in the first place. You can read all my other discussions on the matter. I do have administrative access, I have been through the checklist scores of times. Let me reiterate: there is no other way to download a new version of Flash other than to use the automatic update. There were no issues with the automatic update in the past. If you're pushing security updates on us, eliminating the auto-update is not ideal. Windows XP, latest Firefox.
