I have some problems with this.
I need to enable remotely the feature for remote management, i have a test scenario with one server 2008 r2 and one server 2012 r2, and i need to sends scripts remotely from server 2012 to server 2008 and i need to do this several times on multiple servers.
Can anyone help?
Thanks

Hi,
Group Policy is the best way to configure PowerShell remoting, but you can try this:

  • How to enable remote connections in SQL Server 2008

I'm trying to enable remote connections in SQL Server 2008 R2 as described in the following article.  I see the error message at the top of the article.
    http://blogs.msdn.com/b/walzenbach/archive/2010/04/14/how-to-enable-remote-connections-in-sql-server-2008.aspx
One step in the article describes how to enable TCP/IP in Configuration Manager.  Specifically it says that
'SQL Server NETWORK Configuration' should have TCP/IP enabled.
The issue I've encountered is that my Configuration Manager
is different than what appears in the article. My Configuration Manager shows the following:
    SQL Server 2005 Services
SQL Server 2005 Network Configuration (32 bit)
           - Protocols for SQLExpress
SQL Native Client Configuration (32 bit)
           - Client protocols
           - Aliases
Note that I see 'SQL Server 2005 Network Configuration'
rather than that for 2008.  When 'Protocols for SQLExpress'
is expanded, there is a TCP/IP setting, but it's disabled and I see an
Access Denied message if I try to enable this.
I also see a TCP/IP setting under Client protocols and successfully enabled this.  This uses port 1433 and I configured my firewall to accomodate this port as suggested in the article.
I also followed the other steps in the article, but still don't have remote access to SQL Server 2008 R2.  (I can access it from the office.)  I'm wondering if this remote access issue is because SQL Server
2008 Network Configuration does not appear in Configuration Manager
and if so, I'm interested in how this might be resolved.  (I'm running Windows 7 - 64 bit.)
I'd appreciate any ideas on this.  Thanks.

  • How to enable remote debugging for a session other than the current one

    Hi all,
I am trying to figure out how to enable remote debugging for a session other than the one I am currently using.
More specifically, we have an application that is making database calls to Oracle 11gR2. Something is causing an exception during this invocation. My system is currently not set up to recompile said application, so I can't just add the debug call to the code and recompile. Therefore I would like to be able to log into the database (as sys, if necessary) and invoke dbms_debug_jdwp.connect_tcp on the desired session.
The docs indicate that I should be able to do so:
    dbms_debug_jdwp.connect_tcp(
    host IN VARCHAR2,
    port IN VARCHAR2,
    session_id IN PLS_INTEGER := NULL,
    session_serial IN PLS_INTEGER := NULL,
    debug_role IN VARCHAR2 := NULL,
    debug_role_pwd IN VARCHAR2 := NULL,
    option_flags IN PLS_INTEGER := 0,
    extensions_cmd_set IN PLS_INTEGER := 128);
But when I try (even as sys), I get the following:
exec dbms_debug_jdwp.connect_tcp('1.2.3.4',5678,<session id>,<session serial>);ORA-00022: invalid session ID; access denied
    ORA-06512: at "SYS.DBMS_DEBUG_JDWP", line 68
    ORA-06512: at line 1
00022. 00000 - "invalid session ID; access denied"
*Cause:    Either the session specified does not exist or the caller
does not have the privilege to access it.
*Action:   Specify a valid session ID that you have privilege to access,
that is either you own it or you have the CHANGE_USER privilege.
I've tried granting the 'BECOME USER' privilege for the relevant users, but that didn't help. I read something about having to set some kind of ACL as of 11gR1, but the reference documentation was very confusing.
Would someone be able to point me in the right direction? Is this even possible, or did I misread the documentation?

Interesting deduction, that would be very useful indeed. I hate recompiling just to add the debug call, and it can't be done in our production environment. But it seems unlikely to me it would be implemented this way.
I would cross-post this in the SQL AND PL/SQL forum though, as this is really a database issue, not with the SQL Developer tool. Do add the links to the other posts in each.

    K.

  • How to Enable Remote services using the GPO for the Client Machines

How to enable remote Access services on Client machines using the Group Policy. After enable how to access with out switching the users  remote as administrator

    Hi,
If you use windows server 2003, we can refer to the following link to enable remote access services on Client machines using the Group Policy:
    Enable or disable Remote Desktop
    http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc727977(v=WS.10).aspx
If you use windows server 2008 and later version, we can refer to the following link to enable remote access services on Client machines using the Group Policy:

    http://social.technet.microsoft.com/wiki/contents/articles/4980.how-to-enable-or-disable-remote-desktop-via-group-policy-windows-2008.aspx
    After you enable
Allow users to connect remotely using Remote Desktop Services policy setting, users who are members of the Remote Desktop Users group on the target computer can connect remotely to the target computer by using Remote Desktop Services.
So if you want users to access computer remotely, you need add users as members of the Remote Desktop Users group on the target computer.

  • How to Enable Color Management? (DV Compression Is Lightening Gamma)

This problem has plagued me with both After Effects and Premiere. I have a project with a number of .mpeg video files (I know MPEG is a bad file choice, but it's not causing the problem--I tested this with uncompressed media also). In AE, I have a darkly lit scene with gamma turned down to produce pure blacks in the shadowy areas. When I render as DV, Windows Media, or QuickTime and play the resulting file in Windows Media Player or Media Player Classic, the file has rather ugly dark grays where pure blacks should be. I read the article on color management and thought I had found the problem, but the "Use Display Color Management" option is grayed out and I've been unable to re-enable it.
Also, I don't know if this is of any major value, but the DV and Windows Media file versions look the same in Windows Media Player as they do in Media Player Classic. QuickTime files look slightly better in Classic than in the default QT player. This issue is especially confusing since the article only acknowledged that this can happen with QuickTime, whereas I'm having this problem with all formats except uncompressed. Thanks!

    > How do I enable display color management?
Have you enabled color management for the project (i.e., selected a working color space for the project)? If not, please read
"Choose a working color space and enable color management" for an explanation of how to enable color management for a project.
"Enable or disable display color management" contains information on managing colors using your monitor's color profile.
You said that you read "the article on color management", by which I presume that you mean the "Color Management Workflow" white paper on the Adobe Design Center website. That paper links to the
"Color management" section of After Effects CS3 Help on the Web and presumes that you'll consult that document for some of the basic underlying concepts and detailed procedures.
    > And I guess it's a redundant question, but are the answers to this issue the same for Premiere as for AE?
Premiere Pro does not do color management.

  • How to enable Remote Management on multiple Macs using Workgroup Manager?

    Hi
I want to use workgroup manager to enable remote management on multiple macs I manage.
    How can I do that?
    Regards,
    Omer Barel

The only way I know to enable remote managment remotely is by running kickstart.
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT2370
If you are already using a login script you could run kickstart from there.
We clone our Macs with remote management turned on.
    Otherwise, lace up your sneakers.

  • How to enable "remote printing" from a .rdp shortcut on OSX

    Hi,
I cannot get my .rdp file to open with "forward printing devices" working on OSX (works fine on Windows).
When I create an entry in RDP Client and check "forward printing devices", it works fine, but if I then export the configuration to a test.rdp file and run it, then the forward printing does not work.
If I then import the test.rdp I just exported and open the session params, "forward printing devices" is not checked anymore.
What is the param(s) that I should set in my test.rdp to forward the printers (same as checking the "forward printing devices" in the ui)?
I have already tried the following:
    redirectprinters:i:1
but it does not seem to work
    Thank you,

    Hi,
It seems that the parameters we set in the .rdp file do not work for the app of Mac. You may have to configure this via UI.
I will forward this issue to the product team.
    Thanks for your understanding.

  • How to resolve remote computer name

My DNS provider responds "success" to all requests, regardless of whether or not the name is valid. When using a web browser, for example, it will take me to a web page that displays marketing information and Google search results for whatever domain name I tried typing in. This is nuisance, but manageable when working with the web.
However, when dropping to the shell and trying to do something like "ssh {computername}", I am unable to do so because it attempts to connect to the wrong IP address.
How do I get Mac OSX to resolve these names on my local network using Bonjour or some other resolution protocol before sending it off to default DNS?
On Windows, NETBIOS kicks in names are resolved easily. Is something like this possible on Mac?
    Message was edited by: parleer

    Bonjour would be
    computer-name.local
where the .local is the specify info you need.
You could use a different DNS server, such as the OpenDNS.org servers.
System Preferences -> Network -> Advanced -> DNS
Anything you enter will always be used first regardless of what the display says. You can verify this by looking at /etc/resolv.conf
You could also specify a search domain in the same Network DNS system preference. For example you could specify .local so by default Bonjour would be searched if you do not specify a domain in your search names.

  • Enable Remote Management in Single-User Mode

    Hi,
I would like to know how to enable Remote Management option (System Preferences > Sharing) in single-user mode.
    Thanks in advance
    Regards

If ssh won't get you where you want and brute-force loading the various plists isn't working for your case (as mentioned, error messages and details might help), then AFAIK, fully remote-managing a Mac usually involves adding a network-capable power switch and an outboard network-capable KVM adapter.  (The Xserve was the last box with (limited) remote-management capabilities, and there's not been any indication that Apple might be releasing systems with Intel AMT (iAMT, vPro) support available and enabled.)

  • How to enable and install Enterprise Manager on Oracle E-Business Suite R12

how to install Oracle Enterprise Manager. Were using single node Oracle E-Business Suite R12 (12.0.6) and our dbase version is 10.2.0, running under RedHat Linux 4 x64.
I am following the below note
How to Enable Enterprise Manager on the Oracle E-Business Suite Release 12 (Doc ID 458533.1)
These patches are not available (6272715 and 6141000)
    how to proceed

I think if you are on 12.0.6 you do not need to have those patches applied -- Please query AD_BUGS table to verify if you already have those patches applied or not.
If you cannot download those patches and you still think you need it, please log a SR and Oracle support should help.

Hey Matt, thanks, but I think this is not the source of that problem.
As shown in the figure, "Device Management" will never change do "Enabled", no matter how much I click on configure.
The configure process is always successful but the state remains "Disabled".
