How to execute a class wich is not in the classpath

Sometime the server can't be shutdown and, if You add some new classes to Your system there's a classpath problem : in the classpath OC4J doesn't see new classes
How can we solve that problem ?
Is it possible to execute something wich is not in the classpath ?
Can the classpath be changed at runtime ?

tha describes how does classloading work in OC4J.
You can deploy application using opn expanded directory structure if you are using OC4J standalone.
Also you donot have to restart the server when classes are changed, you have to touch the application.xml for your application or web.xml for Web module to redeploy the apps.

You will have to write your own ClassLoader, or use something like URLClassLoader (I've never used this myself, but I've seen it mentioned elsewhere in this forum). Look here.

How to Execute different classes using editplus

In this program there are two classes when i compile this code in editplus i wont get any error but if i want to execute only ABC class how to do that in editplus because in editplus we usually set the file name for JAVA execution
But here it is different SO,how to execute different classes in a program which is saved with arbitary name in EDIT PLUS..

I tried to use the pop account in gmail settings but that was downloading all my emails sice 2008 ( more than 300 deleted emails tha can only be found in the deleted email box), when I just have 5 or 6 email in the inbox .

I have the same problem. For years I have been able to delete emails from my ipad and have them remain on the server so I can deal with them on the desktop. Now they get deleted from the server when deleted from the ipad, which makes the ipad unless for reading mail.
You answered to delete the email account on the ipad and set up a new one as a pop. I have made many attempts to do that in the incomping mail server "Host Name" field but it always errors out even when the host name is equal to what my desk top has. So I can see no way to change away from IMAP. I started with an ipad 1 and now have an ipad 2.

Option 1
Back Up and try rebuild the library: hold down the command and option (or alt) keys while launching iPhoto. Use the resulting dialogue to rebuild. Choose to Repair Database. If that doesn't help, then try again, this time using Rebuild Database.
If that fails:
Option 2
Download iPhoto Library Manager and use its rebuild function. (In early versions of Library Manager it's the File -> Rebuild command. In later versions it's under the Library menu.)
This will create an entirely new library. It will then copy (or try to) your photos and all the associated metadata and versions to this new Library, and arrange it as close as it can to what you had in the damaged Library. It does this based on information it finds in the iPhoto sharing mechanism - but that means that things not shared won't be there, so no slideshows, books or calendars, for instance - but it should get all your events, albums and keywords, faces and places back.
Because this process creates an entirely new library and leaves your old one untouched, it is non-destructive, and if you're not happy with the results you can simply return to your old one.

Java -jar Test.jar option is not identifing the CLASSPATH on UNIX BOX

I am trying to execute Test.jar file using -jar option. I am able to excute the Test.jar file but it is not identifing the CLASSPATH set for other JAR files which is used in part of Test.jar. Saying java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: for the class which are set in CLASSPATH.
The same is able to identify the CLASSPATH if i excute the Test.class file directly with out -jar option like
java Test. In this case everything is working fine.
Can any one tell me why it is not identifying the classpath if i use or execute with java -jar Test.jar option.

When you use the -jar option, the only classpath that is used is the Class-Path in the manifest file of the jar. If there is no Class-Path, then only the jar is searched for classes. If there is a Class-Path, the paths must be relative to the jar file.

Why MS JVM can not fine the classpath

I have a applet and it's working fine with Sun JRE,but when I use MS JVM I always get error like can not fine the classpath,I alreday have created jar for all the applet class file and I have defined codebase and code ,using applet tag. I want to use Java1.1.
I use NetBeans 3.6 compile the whole applet. and Can you tell me how to do?

The applet probably includes code that is not supported by, or compatible with, the MS jvm. That error is a typical response to this cause.
Try using the compiler option "-target 1.1". If that doesn't work, you could download an old jvm from Sun's archive page and recompile with it.
If that doesn't work, then you have to rewrite the applet to use only code that can be run by the MS jvm.
Be aware that there are differences between MS and Sun jvm's, so it may have to be rewritten no matter what.

Using the import statement import A; gives the error ". expected".
How can I import that class?

I think not putting a class in a package is a bad practice. Avoid that.

How to load a class from a jar not in the classpath

I have a gazillion jars of class files that I want to access dynamically in an application. I don't want to list every jar. The jars also contain images. With images you can explicitly point to the jar with and load the image with createImage....

Hm, if you are not in an EJB container or some other environment that won't let you create a classloader, you might create a new URLClassLoader with a path pointing to those JARs. You will probably want to use your normal application class loader as the parent loader, so any referenced common class definitions are found during the load.
Note that - in order to make use of the classes - you will normally need to know that they implement some interface (or inherit from a common base class) to which you can cast their instances. These Interfaces/base classes will have to be packaged for normal loading by your application class loader; else the cast will trigger an error during compile time. After this, loading them dynamically during runtime is no longer an option since they are referenced directly in the sourcecode.
Alternatively you might do away with interfaces/base classes and call methods of dynamically loaded classes also dynamically: via reflection. But I guess this is too cumbersome for what you might have in mind. Also it has more invocation overhead, less type safety and handling all these exceptions wrapped in InvocationTargetExceptions can quickly become a nightmare too...
