    Someone can tell me the procedure upon the homogeneous system copy and how to do it?Thanks!
    By the way,do this action whether need migration key or not?

Deat Brian,
In new system where u r coping your production system.
Follow the Homosystem copy guide for Linux & relevan to your SAP Release.
You have two methods for  copy
1) Backup restore
2) Export
You can go with export option which is safer.
Do export of  database from source
& import the export in target using sapinst.
Before that set the kernel & relevant settings for  linux.
in /etc/sysconf.

  • How to execute Java.exe on MAC, LINUX, UNIX...

    okay, I know this is very stupid, but can anybody tell me how to run Java.exe on MAC, LINUX, UNIX?
    I know how to run it from windows, I have a batch file created in windows, will it work on MAC, LINUX and UNIX as well? (I'm not sure if on other OS, there is such a file type call *.bat)

    See what I mean about probably wanting a beginner's book on Unix and/or shell scripting?
    okay crackers, the only thing that I have to do is put
    in the name of my program into "your program here".Not necessarily. There's the ClassPath, program parameters, etc. What you need to put in the "your program here" depends upon your program. What I did was allow the script to be invoked with command-line parameters and you could (depending upon your program) put "-jar myjar.jar" in the indicated spot, if your JAR file was runnable.
    The rest no need to change. right?I don't know. What does your program need? Only you can answer that, not me. I just furnished an example.

  • How to execute Linux command from Java app.

    Hi all,
    Could anyone show me how to execute Linux command from Java app. For example, I have the need to execute the "ls" command from my Java app (which is running on the Linux machine), how should I write the codes?
    Thanks a lot,

    You can use "built-in" shell commands, you just need to invoke the shell and tell it to run the command. See the -c switch in the man page for your shell. But, "ls" isn't built-in anyays.
    If you use exec, you will want to set the directory with the dir argument to exec, or add it to the command or cmdarray. See the API for the variants of java.lang.Runtime.exec(). (If you're invoking it repeatedly, you can most likely modify a cmdarray more efficiently than having exec() decompose your command).
    You will also definitely want to save the returned Process and read the output from it (possibly stderr too and get an exit status). See API for java.lang.Process. Here's an example
    java.io.BufferedReader br =
    new java.io.BufferedReader(new java.io.InputStreamReader(
    Runtime.getRuntime().exec ("/sbin/ifconfig ppp0").
    getInputStream()));
    while ((s = br.readLine()) != null) {...

  • Assertion failed: Unable to load database SID during sybase system copy on Linux in the phase "Create DB"

    Hi Supports,
    I am using sapinst homogeneous system copy in Linux on sybase.
    I stuck on the the step 27/49 "create Database".
    I checked Firewall is off.
    i got  points in my sapinst_dev.log that "
    1)The log segment in the target database 'SID' is too small (9216 MB) to accommodate the log segment from the dumped database (10240 MB)"
    and
    2)"Can't change the owner of the master, model, tempdb or sybsystemprocs database"
    Do i need to increase "sybase/SID/saplog_1" ?  because my "saplog_1" is 49 mb now.
    if it is ! how do i increase in this stage.
    can any one know about this error???
    Thanks,
    Aziz.

    Hi,
    When i seen SID.log file so its showing deadlock and checkpoint occurring,
    Is any solution ???
    Is this because of networks?
    we had 2 servers on this same IP. but i stopped one server and one is still running.
    please find my SID.log file and revert back if any soltion.

  • Which is better Remote Client Copy or Homogenous copy

    Hi All
    I have a task to synchronize the ECC Production server with devlopment server
    For this I have two option :
    1. Remote client copy from Production to Development
    2. Implementing homogenous copy(oracle procedure) of production server and then remove the existing development server.
    I want to know your expert view with which one should I go with, as I have seen many times that whenever I do remote client copy it gives error in test phase the following tables error. so I am not sure wherther I just go with clent copy or not.
    What things should keep in mind before doing it before doing homogenous copy?
    Thankx in Advance
    Regards
    Vinay Paul

    Hi All
    Is there any solution for below if I decide to go with Oracle Procedure of system copy. Because we have to provide this to one of our client as there production and Development server are out of Sink.
    1. Retaining the development history
    2. Retaining the transports history.
    I came to know that the above thing is possible but I have no idea how.
    Thankx in advance

  • How to execute the hardcode line

    when read 1 line, then copy to itab_shipmark. (the field will change depend on number of looping as sy-tabix)

    i want to execute when looping

    1st time : move t_tline-tdline to itab_shipmark-row1.
    2nd time: move t_tline-tdline to itab_shipmark-row2.
    7th time:  move t_tline-tdline to itab_shipmark-row7.
    end loop.

    Hi,
       I think you can use the command INSERT <workarea> INTO <table position>. You can use the Loop index (Number of Loop traversal) as the table index for determining the position at which the new line is to be inserted.
    Follow the F1 help for the command.
    Does that answer the question or I missed something here?

  • Ant: How to execute / skip tasks by property in build.xml ?

    Hi,
    I want to create a build.xml to execute / skip tasks dynamically by property in build.xml.
    eg: I can define one property "needObfuscate" in either "true" or "false". I will contruct 2 tasks for obfuscate and non-obfuscate to fullfill the 2 cases. Only one of them WILL be executed depend on the flag "needObfuscate".
    ** I know Antenna's task "wtkpackage" has an arguement "obfuscate" to set. It's an example, what I want to know is how to execute / skip the tasks.
    Task "condition" is just used to set the property in runtime.
    <condition property="result" value="User choose 001.">
    <equals arg1="001" arg2="${select}"/>
    </condition>
    There is other tasks can fullfill what I expect ?

  • How to execute a SQL sentence in a package?

    Hi everybody!!
    After executing the standard Copy package I need to execute a SQL sentence (an INSERT INTO database), I don't know the easiest way of doing this. I've tried to modify the Copy package adding an additional DumpLoad Task but it doesn't work.
    ¿Can anybody tell me how could I execute a SQL sentence when running a package?
    Thank you in advance
    Pedro

    I think you will need to edit or copy the existing SSIS package.  Then in the SQL BIDS tool, open the package, add a new SQL based TASK, such as SCRIPT TASK or EXECUTE SQL TASK to the process and add the flow link.  Once you have added what you need, the easiest thing is to save the package back to the BPC location with a new name, add the new package to the DM list via the BPC client, and test. You will need access to the file server for BPC and the SQL DB system.
    Hope that helps.

  • How do i install labview application on linux?

    Hello,
    I have a small application that i built using Labview 7.1 for windows. I have been using this application on windows xp.
    All the application does is, get an array of numbers from a file, calculate the min, max and average, and display the result in a simple 2D graph.
    Now i'm in the process of switching OS from xp to Redhat Linux. Would i be able to use this same application in Linux without any modification? if so, how do i install the application on Linux? if not possible, what changes do i need to make to get it work on Linux?
    Any help would be very much appreciated.
    Thanks.

    The platform indepedence is in the way the LV code is represented. You can open a VI you wrote in LV on windows in LV for Linux or Mac and it will work. The compiler embedded in the development environment turns the VI into platform-specific executable code in the same way that a C compiler would. The problem is that actual executable code is not transferable between OSes because they simply won't know how to execute it, just as it wouldn't work with a C built application.
    If you don't want to buy LV for Linux you can try running a Windows emulator (like WINE) which might allow you to run your windows executable. Another option is to try contacting NI. They might decide to let you change your license from Windows to Linux. You should also consider that platform specific functions (like ActiveX) are not supported and that certain toolkits were only written for windows.
    Try to take over the world!
