How to find - Customer Master IDoc was created Manually or by Change pointe

Hi all,
I have an IDoc(Customer master) number (which I have taken from the payload in SXMB_MONI). I would like to know whether this has been created by a user manually(BD14) or by a change pointer.
Please help.

Hi Vardharajan,
Yes I agree with you. What I mean by IDoc created by change pointer is - 'IDoc generated because a change(pointer) is tracked by the system', in other words, due to some change made to the data.
As you know, the other option of creating IDoc is by BDxx transaction. This option is usually used to push (unchanged) data.
So in essence, what I am interested to know is , has the IDoc been generated because someone made a change using say, VD02 / XD02 or pushed the data manually.
Please do ask, if anything is not clear.

How can I include Customer Hierarchy in Customer master IDoc -DEBMAS06 ?

I am generating Customer master IDoc using basic message type DEBMAS06. But when I include customer hierarchy data while creating customer master, it is not included in any of the segments. The segment containing the data from KNVH is not included in standard.
How do I include this hierarchy data in the IDoc? If I create a segment, under which basic segment should it be included and how to update the data in the segment?
Can anybody help?

You can use LSMW :-
1) Create a project , sub project and an object.
2) execute it from 1 st screen to enter the object.
3) You will find proces steps.
4) In Maintain Object Attributes choose Program Name RFBIDE00.
or I-DOC or the way you want the input to be.
5) You can proceed from there following the instruction..

Itegration with Websphere Message Broker and Customer Master IDOC

Hello All. I am new to this forum. I have a couple of questions.
What I am trying to do: I have to interface to SAP with Websphere Message Broker which has inbuilt nodes to interface with SAP using BAPI or ALE to send Customer Master Record (create/update/delete)
The questions I have:
1/ Has anyone done this? What did you use BAPI or ALE?
2/ When a Customer Master IDOC is sent to SAP, if successful, a return code is sent back by SAP. This indicates that SAP has received the IDOC successfully. However, our requirement is that we have to know whether the IDOC was successfully posted within SAP. I am of the opinion that this is manual task within SAP and it should not be the function of the middleware layer as its responsibility is only to successfully deliver the IDOC's. I would welcome opinions on this issue. Please let me know If there is a way to determine if the IDOC has been successfully posted in SAP.
3/ Is there anywhere where I can get an XML representation of the Customer Master Record. I want to see the structure and the available fields. How can I get this info from SAP?

Why customer master idoc named like DEBMAS?

hi,
i am just curious know why customer master idoc named like DEBMAS?
vendor master data idoc as cremas?
any German abbreviation or English abbreviation behind this will be appreciated.

To my knowledge I do not think that the naming has anything to do with the German translations since in German:
Customer = Kunde and
Vendor = Verkäufer....
However the naming has some connection with the Business Case behind customers and vendors. In SAP, a customer is a business partner whose account you debit for money, hence the name DEBMAS and a vendor is a business partner whose account you credit money, hence the name CREMAS.

Master idoc is created but not communication idoc

Hi Experts,
Thrugh the change pointers i m sending the customer master data through idocs ,
there master idoc is creating but not the communication idocs .
it is not triggering the function module MASTER_IDOC_DISTRIBUTE.
How to rectify this ,, please anybody asap..

Initially, check the Partner profiles(Sending and Receiving), port definitions and Distribution model(where the model view should be distributed).
Check out for any filters added, enable change pointer also.

I did that to fidn out some data from dba_tab_modifications, but I m not sure that what timestamp shows, wether it shows for update,insert or delete time ?

customer is facing the issue and data missing in the table and I told him that yes there is a delete at 11-12-13 18:23:39 in table after seeing the DELETS column and timestamp in dba_tab_modifications, but not sure I am right or not

Customer master idoc scenario

Hi gurus,
customer master idoc should be sent based on customer group in sales area data of customer data.
for example if customer group is 01 then this customer master data should be sent as idoc and if customer group is 02 then this data should not be sent.
How can this requirment be fulfilled.

This can not be done via sync-async bridge.There are 2 reasons for this
1.He has file adapter as sender and that doesn't support synchronous scenarios.
2.He has standard IDOC as receiver.there is no way you can fetch customer# from IDOC without writing a custom program,Thats why i said he need to either use RFC/Proxy or do some custom development.

I kindly ask you how can I send customer master IDOC in full. I am using change pointer and change pointer allows only to be send ,changed fields other fields are filling with '/' character. Is there any way to send this '/' what is in original

Idoc type will change with the SAP release version with changes in the segments. You may see the difference in segments if you Compare DEBMAS01 and DEBMAS06 segments. Always use the Idoc type which of the current SAP Release.

Edit form
You use this form to create or change individual documents (for example, single news items). Typically, this form contains input fields in which you can create content (for example, the title or text for a news item).
Show form
You use this form to display a single document. Typically, the Show form displays all elements of a document (for example, the title, author, and all the text contained in a news item). Do not use entry controls on the Show form.
RenderListItem form
You use this form to define the layout of a list entry in a folder in the flexible user interface. Typically, you display some of the elements of a document, such as the title and summary of a news item, on this form. You call up the Show form if you want to display the entire document.
You do not create pushbuttons or links for creating, changing, or deleting XML documents in the RenderListItem form. You define which commands are to be displayed using command groups of the flexible user interface. You can create several iViews for displaying the same XML documents with different command groups.
ListEdit form

Hi Shabbirmdpasha,
If you know the user name then you can find the idoc numbers created by that user. But the problem here is it not only gives the material it gives all the idocs created by that user. Go to SE16 --> table name EDIDS --> here you can fill the approximate date and in UNAME give the userid and execute. This will give all the idocs created by that user. I know it is only a partial solution.

my present error is Data pack 1 got error and Datapack 2 was success,
their 3IDocs are their in detail tab all are success
as per my knowledge it will for the Data pack 2 and it is showing 3different
how can i find the Idoc which was struck .....
that need to process manually in BD87..
please suggest if i am wrong

To introduce the techniques of enhancement in standard SAP system. SAP creates customer exits for specific programs, screens, and menus within standard R/3 applications. These exits do not contain any functionality. Instead, the customer exits act as hooks. You can hang your own add-on functionality onto these hooks.
They do not affect standard SAP source code.
When you add new functionality to your SAP System using SAPs exits, you do not alter the source code of standard SAP programs in any way. The code and screens you create are encapsulated as separate objects. These customer objects are linked to standard applications, but exist separately from SAPs standard software package.
They do not affect software updates.
When you add new functionality to your SAP System using SAPs exits, your objects (called customer objects) must adhere to strict naming conventions. When it comes time to upgrade a to a new software release, customer objects names ensure that they will not be affected by any changes or new additions to the standard software package.
Customer exits are not available for all programs and screens found in the SAP System.
Any change made to an SAP object in a customer system is called a modification. Customers usually modify their systems for one of two reasons. Either they make changes to the SAP standard in order to adjust the R/3 System to their specific business needs (actual modifications), or they alter individual SAP objects in order to correct an error (as recommended in an SAP error note).
You should only modify the SAP standard if the modifications you want to make are absolutely necessary for optimizing work flow in your company. Be aware that good background knowledge of application structure and flow are important prerequisites for deciding what kind of modifications to make and how these modifications should be designed.
SAP application programmers create SAP enhancements in transaction SMOD using function module exits, menu exits, and screen exits.
Customers are given a catalog containing an overview of existing SAP enhancements. They can then combine the SAP enhancements they want into an enhancement project using transaction CMOD.
SAP enhancements are made up of component parts. These components include function module exits, menu exits, and screen exits. A specific component may be used only once in a single SAP enhancement (this guarantees the uniqueness of SAP enhancements).
Customer enhancement projects consist of SAP enhancements. Each individual SAP enhancement may be used only once in a single customer enhancement program (this guarantees the uniqueness of a customer project).
SAP application programmers preplan function module exits, menu exits, and screen exits for their applications and combine them to create useful enhancements for the R/3 System.
Customers create their own enhancement projects for their systems using SAP enhancements. You can customize the individual components of an enhancement project by creating your own include programs (for function module exits), texts (for menu exits), and subscreens (for screen exits).

Please find the function module that is being used to generate the inbound/outbound IDoc.
Then you go to inside the FM and search for 'CUSTOMER-FUNCTION' in the main program.
This is the place that provided by SAP to modify the IDoc segments.

Someone is using FM: L_IDOC_INPUT_WMTORD, message type WMTORD and basic type WMTOID01 in doing this when trying to send an Idoc to an external system when a transfer order for a delivery note is created (LT03). Is it OK

How to find the number of references created for a given object in a big application environment.
That means, if i give any object name (of my application) as input, then how can i find the[b] number of references created for that particular object ??

Please do not post the same question multiple times.
As for your original question, there is no direct way to do it.
Especially not the way you phrased it,
since objects don't have "names".
Applications also don't have "names".
They have classes and instances.
Also, there are 2 related issues, and I'm not sure which one is the one you asked.
#1. Finding the number of references to the same object.
Eg.
Map<String,String> a = new HashMap<String,String>();
Map<String,String> b = new HashMap<String,String>();
Map<String,String> c = a;In this case, there are only 2 objects.
The first object has (at least) 2 references pointing to it.
The second object has (at least) 1 reference pointing to it.
(There may be more, if the HashMap library keeps
references to these things, or if the HashMap object has
some internal cyclic references...)
If you're asking this, then it can't be done.
It's an active research topic in universities
and software research labs, called "alias analysis".
Type it in google, and you'll see people are working hard
and having little success so far.
#2. Finding the number of instances created from a class.
In this case, what you have to do is to add a counter to
the constructor of the class. Every time an object is constructed,
you increment the counter. Like this:
 class MyClass
 public static int counter = 0;
 public MyClass( ) { counter++; }
 // Then later in your program, you can do this:
 MyClass a = new MyClass();
 MyClass b = new MyClass();
 System.out.println(MyClass.counter); // It should show 2Note: you won't be able to do this to every class in the system.
For every class you care about, you have to modify its constructor.
Also: when an object is deleted, you won't always know it
(and thus you won't always be able to decrement the counter).
Finalizers cannot always work (read Joshua Bloch's
"Effective Java" book if you don't believe me), but basically
(1) finalizers will not always be called, and
(2) finalizers can sometimes cause objects to not be deleted,
and thus the JVM will run out of memory and crash
