Thanks,

Connect to the forms server.
In the $AU_TOP/resource directory run the following...
strings -a <NAMEOFFILE>.plx | grep '$Header'
For example...
To find the .pld version of INVAMCAP.plx I would run this on the forms server.
cd $AU_TOP/resource
strings -a INVAMCAP.plx | grep '$Header'
This will return the .pld version.
Hope this helps!

    Can you please suggest how to find out unused custom index ( non-seeded).

    Hi,
    You can query select * from dba_objects where object_name like 'ABC%' and object_type='INDEX' and OWNER='APPS';
    and select * from dba_objects where object_name like 'ABC%' and object_type='TABLE' and OWNER='APPS'; for tables.

  • How to find out the primary key of oracle apps tables

    Hii,,
    My Question is How to find the primary key in the apps table...Is there any Query or other way to find out???
    for eg.
    I want to find out the primary key of the AP_INVOICES_ALL table...just tell me how can i get the primary key of this table.
    I am currently using toad for the query..
    Please guide me...

    you can define the primary key when you create table
    or add the primary key after the table creation by 'ALTER TABLE ... ADD constraint pk_nme primary key (col1, col2)';
    you could use below sql to check the detail of primary key:
    1) check out the table definition directly:
    select dbms_metadata.get_ddl('TABLE','EMP') FROM DUAL;
    2) check out the columns of primary key:
    select * from user_constraints where constraint_type='P' AND table_NAME='EMP';
    select * from user_cons_columns where CONSTRAINT_NAME='PK_EMP';And BTW, it is madam, not sir. :)

  • How to find last DML operation in oracle ADF

    how to find last DML operation in oracle ADF
    Please help me
    Thanks
    Damby

    In the base EntityIml class, just override doDML() method as I said.
    (see http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E16162_01/web.1112/e16182/appendix_mostcommon.htm
    "Methods for Creating Your Own Layer of Framework Base Classes")
    So, put a some flag in the session.
    You should not call doDML() method in backing bean, it will be called by framework.
    In the backing bean, you only have to get that information from the session, as follows:
    String last_dml_op = (String)ADFContext.getCurrent().getSessionScope().get("last_dml_op");And voila...

    If you source the application env file APPS<CONTEXT_NAME>.env file under $APPL_TOP directory then this will set ORACLE_HOME to 10.1.2
    If you source the application env file <CONTEXT_NAME>.env file under $INST_TOP/ora/10.1.3 directory then this will set ORACLE_HOME to 10.1.3

  • How to  access the ORACLE APPS table structures from SAP

    Hi Experts,
        How to  access the ORACLE APPS table structures from SAP? Is it possible from SAP?
    Thanks in advance
    Thomas

    Hi Silviya,
    you can access this database using a technique called DB Multiconnect - sometimes written as multi-connect.
    Search the SAP documentation and notes for this term and you will find how to do it.
    Essentially you configure the remote database connection via transaction DBCON.
    If your SAP system is not running on Oracle you will need to install the db-specific kernel files for Oracle along with the Oracel db client software - SQL*Net.
    Then you can access the Oracle database from ABAP using native-SQL. It works a treat!

    How to setup the SMTP server in Oracle Apps? Is it mandatory to keep the SMTP server on the same host where the Oracle data base is installed? No, it is not mandatory. Also please note that the mails are sent out from concurrent manager mode. Not from the database node.
    Also can someone help how we can set up the SMTP server on different host (not the Database server) and we can use the same for Workflow notification mailer.

    It depends on the operating system you are using. If you are using *nix then sendmail needs to be configured.

    By using Oracle Forms, how to load text file data to Oracle Database table?

    Metalink note 33247.1 explains how to use text_io as suggested by Robin to read the file into a Multi-Row block. However, that article was written for forms 4.5 and uses CREATE_RECORD in a loop. There was another article, 91513.1 describing the more elegant method of 'querying' the file into the block by transactional triggers. Unfortunately this more recent article has disappeared without trace and Oracle deny its existence. I know it existed as I have a printed copy in front of me, and very useful it is too.
