How to find LOV Query in Oracle Web Form
Hi All,
I am currently use oracle ebs R12.1.2 and i just want to know the query which is attached in lov for Oracle web pages kindly help.
Regards
Hi,
There is a bug in OAF for this one, upon clicking on About this page on the newly opened LOV page it still shows the Parent Page Details.
Workaround:
1. After the LOV window opens, click on about this page [This will still show the parent page properties]
2. Now click on backspace. [You should be back to the same LOV Page]
3. Now click on About this page, again, - This should show you the correct details.
Hope that helps!!!

Command for "How to find Cursor Size" in Oracle Stored Procedure"
Hi
Can u tell me....
How to find Cursor Size" in Oracle Stored Procedure........
I want command for that........why don't you try select count(*) from your_table;That requires running the same query twice - or rather running two different queries twice. Besides it still doesn't guarantee anything, because Oracle's read consistency model only applies at the statement level (unless you're running in a serialized transaction).
This is such a common requirement - users are wont to say "well Google does it" - it seems bizarre that Oracle cannot do it. The truth is that that Google cheats. Firstly it guesses the number on the basis of information in its indexes and refines the estimate as pages are returned. Secondly, Google is under no onus to kepp all its data and indexes synchronized - two simultaneous and identical queries which touch different Google servers can return different results. Oracle Text works the same way, which is why we can get a count with CTX_QUERY.COUNT_HITS in estimate mode.
Cheers, APC

Edited by: Sonal on Jan 3, 2011 5:30 AMHi,
as Daan said, set the variable in Advanced tab but not on loglevel..
because, our problem is to bypass the bi-server cache.
Do this:
1. Go to Advanced tab.
2. In Prefix field(scroll down to see this field) , enter this:
SET DISABLE_CACHE_HIT = 1;
Note: Make sure that you're ended up above statement with semicolon and do not click on Set SQL option...
3. Save report, then run it..
4. After you see the query, i recommend you to take take out that prefix tag then save it again.. -
How to find a query name from report name
I have a report in my system with the name AQICMM==========P2============ . I believe this was created from a query. How to find the query corresponding to this report ? I need to change the logic for certain columns of the report. How to know if this was created from SQVI or SQ01 or any other transaction.
THanks.Found it..Query name is P2. It was in a different query area..Standard area and not custom area where I was initially looking at.

How to find which query taking more cpu
Hi,
How to find which query taking more CPU
at a particular point of time .
Chhers,Take a look at Server Standard Reports. It has a few CPU usage oriented reports.
You can also track CPU usage by server-side tracing:
http://www.sqlusa.com/bestpractices/createtrace/
Glenn Berry's CPU usage query:
SELECT TOP(25) p.name AS [SP Name], qs.total_worker_time AS [TotalWorkerTime],
qs.total_worker_time/qs.execution_count AS [AvgWorkerTime], qs.execution_count,
ISNULL(qs.execution_count/DATEDIFF(Second, qs.cached_time, GETDATE()), 0) AS [Calls/Second],
qs.total_elapsed_time, qs.total_elapsed_time/qs.execution_count
AS [avg_elapsed_time], qs.cached_time
FROM sys.procedures AS p WITH (NOLOCK)
INNER JOIN sys.dm_exec_procedure_stats AS qs WITH (NOLOCK)
ON p.[object_id] = qs.[object_id]
WHERE qs.database_id = DB_ID()
ORDER BY qs.total_worker_time DESC OPTION (RECOMPILE);

How to find the hidden objects in Webi Rich client report at BI 4.0 sp 04 ?
Best Regards,
ASRHi Sai,
Go to Report Element Tab-->There you have a Tab Cell Behaviors.
When you flip between 'With Data' and 'Structure Only' under 'Design' Tab,you can see the some cells will be hide/Un hide behavior,if hiding of cells applied.
Select that cell and then Under 'Cell Behaviors'-->'Hide' Tab-->and choose Show Option.

How to find last_query for oracle web form?
I know that for standard forn we can navigate diagnostics-system-last_query
How can we do it for web forms?
Diagnostics menu contain only 5 items
- Show log
- Set trace lavel
- Show Log on screen
- Show pool monitor
ThanksAre you talking about the Block Menu - which allowed you to select the "Last Query" variable? If so, Forms 6i was the last version to support the Block Menu. If you need to see the last query executed, then you will have to explicitly capture the value of the :SYSTEM.LAST_QUERY variable. In other words, you will have to write code to assign the value of :SYSTEM.LAST_QUERY to a form variable.
Hope this helps,
Craig B-)

How to find memory taken by Oracle processes using top command

The different Oracle processes could be Oracle database, Oracle listener, Oracle enterprise manager etc.
I hope, my question is clear as to how to find the memory taken by a process using top command.
Please revert with the reply to my query.
Regardsa short and correct answer would be: you can't.
As oracle uses a fair amount of shared memory, and that shared memory is attached to most of the oracle processes, the same memory appears a number of times.
you should rephrase your question / what is it you want to achieve?
you can ask oracle how much memory is assigned to it, v$sga, v$sgastat, v$process (for PGA). moreover, you as DBA are the one who configured that.
you can look at major an minor faults per process to see what is causing the paging (if you have any).
you can also look at the /proc/pid/statm pseudofilesystem for your oracle pids.
