How to find out no. of records or repeating frame in a page

Hi All,
How do I find out how many records have been displayed on a particular page?
I'm having a repeating frame, and I want to know print another item, on a condition that if the records printed on the page are less than 5 then it should be printed otherwise not.
The item to be printed is not a part of the repeating frame whoz occurences have to be counted.
Regards
Naveen

Hi Naveen
You can create a Packaged varaible that acts as
global variable , and you can increment this
variable in the repeating frames Format Trigger .
Based on the value of the variable , you can
return true or false for the item that you want to
display .

  • How to find out the latest Record in per_all_people_f and per_all_assignme

    Hi ,
    How to find out the latest Record in per_all_people_f and per_all_assignments_f
    Requirement : Need to find out the latest record in per_all_people_f and per_all_assignments_f to update the attribute column with pre defined value . Its not possible to track only with person_id / assignment_id and effective end date
    SELECT pp_id
    FROM (SELECT app.person_id pp_id,
    asf.*
    FROM apps.per_all_people_f app,
    apps.per_all_assignments_f asf
    WHERE --app.person_id=123568 and
    asf.person_id = app.person_id AND
    app.effective_end_date = to_date('31-dec-4712') AND
    asf.effective_end_date = to_date('31-dec-4712')
    GROUP BY app.person_id)
    HAVING COUNT(pp_id) > 1
    GROUP BY pp_id
    This query also returns more than 1 value for person_id .
    It would be great if you put comment on this .. Thanks in advance ,

  • How to find out that a record is empty or null

    hi
    how can i find out that a record is empty or null.
    in other languages when a object or record is not initialized it will be null.
    after initialization how can i find out its values are null. so far i tried this
    declare
    v_r_emp emp%rowtype := null;
    BEGIN
         if (v_r_emp is null) then
         dbms_output.put_line('record is not initialized');
         end if;
    END;
    it seems in plsql we can assign null but cannot compare it with null clause why? if we are able of assign null we must should about to compare it with null too.
    also how record can be made empty. how can we find out that a record variable is empty
    please help me to understand the concept
    thanks

    You need to check every element in the record.

Is this possible? as we have created  Zkey figures to capture the diffrent unit of measure's quantity from the table MSEGO2 and updated to IC_c03 cube.
    Can any one tell me how to go about the missed records..where to find them.. and how to extract them.
    Poits will be assigned

    hi,
    inventory scenario is difficult to handle as this have non cumulative key figures which can be viewed at the repors.
    extreme care is required while compression and intila loads and their compression.
    run the report or ask the user to run the report and sort out the missing records.
    chk out the document and chk if the procedure done by you is correct.

  • How to find out top 10 records from the R/3 using Java code (WD Program)

    Hi Experts,
    I have used Java Web Dynpro program to fetch records from the backend. Following code helps me and fetches record. As per the customer reqirement, we have to fetch only top 10 records (Actual Cost) from the backend. So I have to modify the Java code. How I can do so? Please help.
              wdContext.nodeGraphData().invalidate();
              IPublicCostcnt.IGraphDataElement categoryElement;
                   for (int i = 0; i < wdContext.nodeItab_Final1().size(); i++) {
                   categoryElement = wdContext.createGraphDataElement();
                   categoryElement.setCostElement(""+ wdContext.nodeItab_Final1().getItab_Final1ElementAt(i).getDescription());
                   categoryElement.setActualCost(wdContext.nodeItab_Final1().getItab_Final1ElementAt(i).getActual_Cost().toString());
                   categoryElement.setPlannedCost(wdContext.nodeItab_Final1().getItab_Final1ElementAt(i).getPlan_Cost().toString());
                   wdContext.nodeGraphData().addElement(categoryElement);
    Regards,
    Gary

    Dear SDN Users,
    This is how I resolved the issue.
    1) Requested ABAPer to provide me sorted data. The data has been sorted in descending order of actual_cost.
    2) After that I used following code. This resolved the issue.
         if (wdContext.nodeItab_Final1().size()>10){
         IPublicCostcnt.IGraphDataElement categoryElement;
              for (int i = 0; i < 10; i++) {
              categoryElement = wdContext.createGraphDataElement();
              categoryElement.setCostElement(""+ wdContext.nodeItab_Final1().getItab_Final1ElementAt(i).getDescription());
              categoryElement.setActualCost(wdContext.nodeItab_Final1().getItab_Final1ElementAt(i).getActual_Cost().toString());
              categoryElement.setPlannedCost(wdContext.nodeItab_Final1().getItab_Final1ElementAt(i).getPlan_Cost().toString());
              wdContext.nodeGraphData().addElement(categoryElement);
         if (wdContext.nodeItab_Final1().size()<=10){
         if (wdContext.nodeItab_Final1().size()>0){
         IPublicCostcnt.IGraphDataElement categoryElement;
              for (int i = 0; i < wdContext.nodeItab_Final1().size(); i++) {
              categoryElement = wdContext.createGraphDataElement();
              categoryElement.setCostElement(""+ wdContext.nodeItab_Final1().getItab_Final1ElementAt(i).getDescription());
              categoryElement.setActualCost(wdContext.nodeItab_Final1().getItab_Final1ElementAt(i).getActual_Cost().toString());
              categoryElement.setPlannedCost(wdContext.nodeItab_Final1().getItab_Final1ElementAt(i).getPlan_Cost().toString());
              wdContext.nodeGraphData().addElement(categoryElement);

  • How to find out the duplicated records?

    Hi,
    I am writing a report by using Oracle6i and window 98. I have a 3 fields in the report: LAST_NAME, FIRST_NAME, ADDRESS.
    In the reports, I only want to show those records that have the same last_name and first_name but different address.
    Can anyone help? Thanks.
    Jun

    Hi Jun
    I used the following query in the sample employees table to select those employees whose first name was the same but employee_id was different. Probably you could try this query by substituting your field names and table name:
    select distinct e1.employee_id, e1.first_name from employees e1, employees e2 where e1.first_name=e2.first_name and e1.employee_id<>e2.employee_id order by e1.first_name asc;
    Here is a sample snapshot of the result:
    EMPLOYEE_ID FIRST_NAME
    103 Alexander
    115 Alexander
    105 David
    151 David
    165 David
    127 James
    131 James

    Hi,
    Since it is a Flat file, you can reconcile with Cube display data. Randomly take some records from your FF and try to view in Cube display data.
    Hope it helps........

  • How to find the number of records in ods?

    how to find the number of records in ods?
    Pls suggest the solution apart going to the table of ods and seeing the number of records.
    Is there any program or function module to see the number of records in ods?
    For eg: SAP_INFOCUBE_DESIGNS is a program which gives the detail (number of records) of infocube.

    Hi,
    I was looking at this and found the following tables that may be of help.
    One of these tables will include a summary of the record count of all the tables in your system based on the last time each table had it's database statistics calculated:
    DBSTATTADA
    DBSTATTDB2
    DBSTATTDB4
    DBSTATTDB6
    DBSTATTINF
    DBSTATTMSS
    DBSTATTORA
    We run on an Oracle database so the table record counts can be taken from DBSTATTORA. Type in AZ in table selection field in SE16 to restrict the output to ODS (or DSO) tables only.
    The record count is at the time indicated in the timestamp field. Obviously this is not real time but should not be too out of date - if it is you may be having performance issues and should get your DBA / Basis to run a full refresh of DB stats.
    Hope this helps, alhtough not real time the table should give you a decent indication of the size of all your ODS objects (or any other table for that matter!)

  • How to find out which validation is failed.

    Hi Experts,
    Here is another problem I am facing. I am getting an exception during record update.
    com.sap.mdm.commands.CommandException: com.sap.mdm.internal.protocol.manual.ServerException: One or more records failed a validation
    I am not able to print additional info about the exception. How to find out exacty which validaton or assignment failed. Please let me know.
    Thanks
    -Sai

    Hi Sai,
    Is your problem solved? If yes, then please mark the thread as answered. If no, then use the following code:
         int failedValidations =     validateRecCmd.getValidationResult().getTotalValidationsFailed();
         if (failedValidations > 0) {
                   for (int cnt = 0; cnt < failedValidations; cnt++) {
                   messages.addvalidateRecCmd.getValidationResult).getFailedValidations(recrd.getId())[cnt]
                                            .getMessage());
    where messages is arrayList which will contain all the error messages where the validations failed.
    Hope it helps.
    Regards.

  • How to find out what user locked account

    We had production type schema account locked this morning. I checked profile which this user belongs and it has 3 times for Failed Login Attempts. My question is how to find out what user had 3 unsuccessful login attempts and lock this account.
    Oracle version 8.1.7

    Assuming that [auditing was enabled|http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/B19306_01/server.102/b14220/security.htm#sthref2916], the command
    AUDIT CONNECT WHENEVER NOT SUCCESSFULThat will write audit records when there is an unsuccessful login. Depending on how you've configured auditing, those records will either be written to the SYS.AUD$ table, in which case you can query them through a few different views, or to a file on the operating system that you can grep.

  • How to find out that the database table is empty

    Hello all,
    How to find out in ABAP in the best performant way, that the database table is empty. The table could have several milions of records or be empty. SELECT count( * )  looks to me as not the best way.

    Hi,
    One approach is:
    check lt_mytable is initial.
    This will be true if there are no lines.
    Another:
    describe table lt_mytable lines lv_count
    if lv_count = 0.
    "Empty
    Thanks.

  • HOW to find out the tablespace space utilized by a patch after applying the

    I think there is no direct way to determine what tablespace is utilized by a patch from the README file. You could check the content of the patch file and see what modules are affected (assuming there are changes and the database level), then query DBA_USERS (DEFAULT_TABLESPACE column) for those schemas which are updated by a patch. Or, you could check the size of the tablespaces before and after applying the patch and you will determine what tablespaces have been utilized (provided that the application services are down, and none of the application users is connected to the application).
    Thanks,
