How to find the API in JDE application

Hi All,
we installed JDE enterprise one. We are in the process of finding integration part. IS it possible to find out link in the JDE application or we need to search anyother third party API's to connect.
Can you please provided any API to connect JDE application with different DB servers.

Well, you have posted this item in the wrong forum. There is actually a separate forum for JDE Enterprise One. If you go back to the forum home and scroll down past JDE World, you will find the forum for JDE Enterprise One. As far as application functionality goes World and Enterprise One are fairly similar, but the technical environment however is considerably different. JDE World, for example, is a single server environment (IBM AS/400). Yep, we don't have to deal with multiple servers. So most of us World users won't have any knowledge of how to help you on an issue like this. So certainly post this item in the JDE Enterprise One forum and hopefully you will get some assistance there. Good luck.

How to find the API name from the Integrator

I am looking in a WebADI build solution.
1) I need to find the API name, which is used by the Custom integrator to validate and insert the data into custom table.
Can we find the source where WebADI integrator stores the API name.

You are right that we are not supposed to change the Oracle supplied files. But some times you really don't have any other option. Some times Oracle support them selves ask you to change their programs.
Anyway the Concurrent program definition is stored in BNE_PARAM_LISTS_B, BNE_PARAM_LISTS_TL, BNE_PARAM_LIST_ITEMS and BNE_ATTRIBUTES table. For a concurrent program with out any parameter there will be 6 records in BNE_PARAM_LISTS_ITEMS and BNE_ATTRIBUTES table.
These racords are
Application, Program, Description, Run date , Sub Request , End of Concurrent Request Parameters and Rest of parameters default.
Look at these tables and you will know how Oracle has defined these Concurrent programs.

while postnig the data through idocs,we use message types
the issue is how can we find the massage type for application?

You can find these in transaction WE82.
You can find in WE57, this basis type, which fm is attached (BAPI_IDOC_INPUT1).
Then check out transactions WE41 and WE42.
You can use the table EDIMSG, in SE16 to list all the msg types making use of the same IDoc.
or
If you want to get all the message types, you can use WE81.
If you want to see which message types are attched to a particular Idoc type, use WE82
check it in BD60 and WE57..

How to find the objects in an application

We are trying to increase the performace of our server
During testing we observed that the memory usage is increasing , we wanted to know what are the objects are created at any time
Is there any way to do this , and are there any opensource tools which helps in this process
We presently use prstat , vmstat and pmap commands to watch memory growth is there any other commands which can help us

I am requested by the Oracle applications team to check the versions of the following files.

I have zero experience in managing oracle applications. I would appreciate if some one could let me know how to find the versions in my server. My DB and the applications are in Linux servers.
Also would appreciate if some one could provide pointers to handling Application DBA scenario like this.

I am having form name as: ZINVENT (INVENT is the actual) and program name as RM07IDRU.How can i find the Appliction ntype and OutType for entering into the NACE tr code.
                i tried thru TNAPR table but i was not able to find the Entry in the TNAPR with form Name and printprogram name

Hi Guruva,
If you are talking about MDM APIs, then you will get them from Service place when you download the complete MDM 5.5 Suite. You need to choose the API which is appropriate to you. MDM comes with 2 different APIs - Java API and COM API as of SP1(The news is.. ABAP API is under development).
Pre-requisite for building applications using Java APIs is basic Java skills.

If you're talking about commercial sites (sites you don't have the source code for) I'm not sure.
If you want to count the links in site that you have the source code for, it should be relatively easy to write a Java application to do it. All you really need to do is have a list of the files you want to count links in, read each file line by line and check for the existance of the <a> tag in each line. Anywhere their is an <a> tag there is a link.

Hi,
Here is a program to generate no of records and list of ODS and Cubes in Active version.Schedule this program in background and create a cube to load this information and schedule to the data from the file generated by the program. Schedule this all per you requirement.
1.Copy the code into your Z<programname> from Se38.
2.change the FILENAME in CALL FUNCTION 'GUI_DOWNLOAD' in the program to the location from where you can pick the information to load data to cube(eg Application server).
3.Save program.
4.Schedule the program in background as required
5.Create cube with infoobjects to hold no of records and Infoprovider name
6.Load this cube based on event after the program job is done.
Hence you can report on this cube to see no of records in CUBE or ODS in your box.
Please find the code below.

How to find the number of references created for a given object in a big application environment.

As for your original question, there is no direct way to do it.
Especially not the way you phrased it,
since objects don't have "names".
Applications also don't have "names".
They have classes and instances.
Also, there are 2 related issues, and I'm not sure which one is the one you asked.
#1. Finding the number of references to the same object.
Eg.
Map<String,String> a = new HashMap<String,String>();
Map<String,String> b = new HashMap<String,String>();
Map<String,String> c = a;In this case, there are only 2 objects.
The first object has (at least) 2 references pointing to it.
The second object has (at least) 1 reference pointing to it.
(There may be more, if the HashMap library keeps
references to these things, or if the HashMap object has
some internal cyclic references...)
If you're asking this, then it can't be done.
It's an active research topic in universities
and software research labs, called "alias analysis".
Type it in google, and you'll see people are working hard
and having little success so far.
#2. Finding the number of instances created from a class.
In this case, what you have to do is to add a counter to
the constructor of the class. Every time an object is constructed,
you increment the counter. Like this:
   class MyClass
       public static int counter = 0;
       public MyClass( ) { counter++; }
    // Then later in your program, you can do this:
    MyClass a = new MyClass();
    MyClass b = new MyClass();
    System.out.println(MyClass.counter); // It should show 2Note: you won't be able to do this to every class in the system.
For every class you care about, you have to modify its constructor.
Also: when an object is deleted, you won't always know it
(and thus you won't always be able to decrement the counter).
Finalizers cannot always work (read Joshua Bloch's
"Effective Java" book if you don't believe me), but basically
(1) finalizers will not always be called, and
(2) finalizers can sometimes cause objects to not be deleted,
and thus the JVM will run out of memory and crash

goto SE16 Click F4, You have two options Information system & Sap Applications.
Click on SAP Applications & selec the application you wnat to see, for E.g Purchasing you can click on materials managemnt, Purchasing if you drill down you will see the list of tables....
