How to Find the Index of Element in the XMLListCollection

Hi,
I have a burning question here, and I wonder if anyone has tried to do this.
I have an XML file that is read into the xml collection, and for each of the names that appear in the file (pre-declared somewhere else) , I tried to remove the element.
  However, it either gives me -1, if I do trace(slc.getItemIndex(xml.@name).toString()); when they exist, or tell me #3594 as shown in the error below:
Here is the code:
private function checkBox_change(event:Event):void{
           xlc = new XMLListCollection(searchResult..book);
               len = searchResult..publisher.length();
               for (idx=0;idx<len; idx++) {
                   if (checkBox[idx].selected == false) {
                           for each (name in input_name2) {
                           for each (xml in xlc){
                           if ((xml.@name == checkBox[idx].label) && (xml.@pub == name)){
    trace(xml.getItemIndex(xml.@name).toString());
    //I get an error that says 3594: getItemIndex is not a recognized method of the dynamic class XML.
Could anyone please give me some pointers on how to remove the desired element? I do know how to use splice.
Thanks for your help.
Alice

Alice you could do something like this
delete myXML.(@ISBN=="4689997865")
Sincerely,
Michael

  • How to find the WBS element for the payment document?

    Dear All,
    How to find the WBS element in the payment document?...I know in payment doc there will not be any WBS but is there any option where I can find in any of the Tables.
    I am in the process of developing a Z report where i need to fetch the payment documents based on WBS. Can any one please help me on this.

    Hi Ram,
    As you are not giving any input of WBS at the time of payment you cannot fetch this directly. But to know the WBS for the reporting purpose on which WBS the payment has been made, you can develop a Z-Report. The WBS elements of clearing documents against the payment entry can be fetched out.
    In this report if there is a single payment against many invoices also possible with different invoice and WBS elements to be displayed on the Z-Report

  • How to find the table in which data from a structure sits

    Hi,
    I want to know how to find the exact table where data sitting in various structures during runtime are stored.
    For instance,in ME23N we have various tabs and data in those are held in various structures. This we can see by checking the technical setting of each field.
    I want to know in which table the data is actually stored for each field and how to find them.
    Any other means other than using "WHERE USED" option?
    Thanks
    CM

    After checking for technical field from the screen, when you reach out to structure, you can dbl click on the particular field's data element. From this data-element you can get to know in which tables it is used. Also if the data element refers to some master data field then you can check out its domain and in the domain you can refer the<b> value table</b> for that domain. This is what i will do if i am not sure about anything.
    Hope it will help a little.

  • How to find the Names of Most costly Views or Most Time consuming views

    Hi All,
    I had a database consisting of almost 200 views,as a part of Optimization process i want to find out the most costlier views.How to do that.Actually i want the names of the VIEWS,so that i can optimize that.Can any one help me out?
    I had one more doubt in our Database a view is created like view A( which is created by joining several tables).so do i need to add index on this view separately or does it take the index of the tables which i joined? And in our Database i  had created
    a VIEW which is derived from other views(the Joining objects are views not tables),so while i select recoreds from this views which is derived from other views it is taking a lot of time.Is tehre any problem with that?

  • How to find the list of Queries/Reports which are using Exceptional Aggregation in SAP BI?

    Hi All,
    We are interested to know how to find the list of Queries/ Reports which are using Exceptional aggregation in SAP BI.
    Please let us know is there any table's to check the list of reports using Exceptional Aggregation in SAP BI.

    Hi,
    Here you go..
    1) Go to table RSZCALC and get list of ELTUID where AGGREXC is not INITIAL and AGGRCHA is not initial; now you get only exception aggregation set based on some chars. Also you can further add STEPNR = 1 since your intention is just to get query name , not the calculation details; this will reduce number of entries to lookup and save DB time for next steps.
    Here you will get list of exception aggregation UUID numbers from which you can get properties from RSZELTDIR.
    2) Pass list of RSZCALC-ELTUID to table RSZELTXREF - TELTUID and get list of RSZELTXREF -SELTUID - this table stores query to it's elements maping kind.
    3) Now again pass RSZELTXREF - SELTUID into same table but into different field RSZELTZREF - TELTUID and get RSZELTXREF - SELTUID
    This step you get query reference sheet or column or query general UUID for next step.
    4) Pass list of RSZELTXREF - SELTUID into RSZELTDIR - ELTUID with DEFTP as 'REP'. Now you get list of query names in RSZELTDIR - MAPNAME and description in TXTLG.
    Note: you can also get the reference chars used for exception aggregation from RSZCALC - AGGRCHA field.
    Hope this helps.
    Please keep in mind, it might take more time depends on how many query elements you have in the system...

  • How to find the level of each child table in a relational model?

    Earthlings,
    I need your help and I know that, 'yes, we can change'. Change this thread to a answered question.
    So: How to find the level of each child table in a relational model?
    I have a relacional database (9.2), all right?!
         O /* This is a child who makes N references to each of the follow N parent tables (here: three), and so on. */
        /↑\ Fks
       O"O O" <-- level 2 for first table (circle)
      /↑\ Fks
    "o"o"o" <-- level 1 for middle table (circle)
       ↑ Fk
      "º"Tips:
    - each circle represents a table;
    - red tables no have foreign key
    - the table in first line of tree, for example, has level 3, but when 3 becomes N? How much is N? This's the question.
    I started thinking about the following:
    First I have to know how to take the children:
    select distinct child.table_name child
      from all_cons_columns father
      join all_cons_columns child
    using (owner, position)
      join (select child.owner,
                   child.constraint_name fk,
                   child.table_name child,
                   child.r_constraint_name pk,
                   father.table_name father
              from all_constraints father, all_constraints child
             where child.r_owner = father.owner
               and child.r_constraint_name = father.constraint_name
               and father.constraint_type in ('P', 'U')
               and child.constraint_type = 'R'
               and child.owner = 'OWNER') aux
    using (owner)
    where child.constraint_name = aux.fk
       and child.table_name = aux.child
       and father.constraint_name = aux.pk
       and father.table_name = aux.father;Thinking...

    can any one help me out plz.You can use V$OBJECT_USAGE.
    But how you decide need rebuilding indexes?
    How you decide problem related indexes?
    What is exactly your mean "due poor performence of db"? some queries hang/long running or whole system hang or has poor performance?
    In generally do not need rebuilding index(unless specially cases),first give we above questions`s answers.

  • How to find the most matched values in the set of map?

    Hi friends!
    I have two vectors
    vector<int> V1; vector<int> V2;
    and a map<int, set<int>> M1;
    I want to select common values from both V1 and V2 and check those values with the set in the map M1.
    For example:
    V1 contains;
    2  4  6  8  9
    V2 contains;
    4  5  6  9  10
    M1 contains;
    1=>1  2  5  9
    2=>4
    3=>5   10
    4=>2  4  8
    5=>4   9
    6=>4   6
    7=>9  12
    When we select the common values of V1 and V2 it is 4, 6, 9.
    And we search for all 4, 6, 9 from the values of M1 which give more appropriate.
    But, no all values in the set of map.
    Then, we delete any value from 4, 6, 9, then remaining values would match any values from the map.
    From the example, if we delete 6, then remaining 4, 9 will match with 5=>4  9, or if we delete 9, then 6=>4   6. Any one of the keys can be selected.
    I know how to select the common values from V1 and V2, but I do not know how to match with the values and select the appropriate key from M1.
    Could anyone help me to solve this?

    This is not the question you asked, except perhaps in the subject. The subject is not the right place to put key features of the question. It is also important to use the body to ask just the question you want
    answered. For example your real question has nothing to do with V1 and V2, just the common vector V (e.g. 4 6 9).
    One way to solve your problem would be to create a new map
    map<int, set<int>> M2;
    with the same keys as M1. Each set of M2 should contain the elements of V that are
    not in the corresponding set of M1.
    Then pick the key of M2 that has the smallest set. If that set is empty, then the whole of V can be used. Otherwise the smallest set tells which elements of V have to be removed, and which is the desired key of M1.
    In your example, key 5 of M2 will contain just 6, so you should remove 6 from V and select key 5.
    Yes fine. I tried the following code and it creates the map M2 (NewMyMap in my code). But how to find the smallest set starting from size 1?
    #include <vector>
    #include <algorithm>
    #include <iostream>
    #include <map>
    #include <set>
    using namespace std;
    typedef vector<int> IntVec;
    typedef set<int> IntSet;
    typedef map<int, IntSet> SetMap;
    bool IsValueNotInSet(int value, IntSet& S);
    SetMap CreatNewSetMap();
    IntVec IVec; //This vector is for selecting certain keys from mySet map.
    IntVec myVec;
    SetMap mySet;
    SetMap NewMyMap;
    int main()
    IVec.push_back(3); IVec.push_back(4); IVec.push_back(5); IVec.push_back(6);
    myVec.push_back(4); myVec.push_back(6); myVec.push_back(9);
    IntSet tempS;
    tempS.insert(1); tempS.insert(2); tempS.insert(5); tempS.insert(9);
    mySet.insert(make_pair(1,tempS));
    tempS.clear();
    tempS.insert(4);
    mySet.insert(make_pair(2,tempS));
    tempS.clear();
    tempS.insert(5); tempS.insert(10);
    mySet.insert(make_pair(3,tempS));
    tempS.clear();
    tempS.insert(2); tempS.insert(4); tempS.insert(8);
    mySet.insert(make_pair(4,tempS));
    tempS.clear();
    tempS.insert(4); tempS.insert(9);
    mySet.insert(make_pair(5,tempS));
    tempS.clear();
    tempS.insert(4); tempS.insert(6);
    mySet.insert(make_pair(6,tempS));
    tempS.clear();
    tempS.insert(9); tempS.insert(12);
    mySet.insert(make_pair(7,tempS));
    cout<<"MYVEC\n";
    cout<<"-------------\n";
    for(IntVec::iterator itv = myVec.begin(); itv != myVec.end(); ++itv)
    cout<<(*itv)<<" ";
    cout<<"\n\n";
    cout<<"\nMYSET\n";
    cout<<"-------------";
    for(map<int,set<int>>::iterator its = mySet.begin(); its != mySet.end(); ++its)
    cout << endl << its->first <<" =>";
    for(IntSet::iterator sit=its->second.begin();sit!=its->second.end();++sit)
    cout<<" "<<(*sit);
    cout<<"\n\n";
    NewMyMap= CreatNewSetMap();
    cout<<"\nNEWMYSET\n";
    cout<<"-------------";
    for(map<int,set<int>>::iterator its1 = NewMyMap.begin(); its1 != NewMyMap.end(); ++its1)

    for(IntSet::iterator sit=its1->second.begin();sit!=its1->second.end();++sit)
    cout<<" "<<(*sit);
    cout<<"\n\n";
    return 0;
    bool IsValueNotInSet(int value, IntSet& S)
    IntSet::iterator it=find (S.begin(), S.end(), value);
    if (it!=S.end())
    return false;
    return true;
    SetMap CreatNewSetMap()
    IntSet TSet;
    for(IntVec::iterator it = IVec.begin(); it != IVec.end(); ++it)
    SetMap::iterator its = mySet.find(*it);
    if (its != mySet.end())
    TSet.clear();
    int key = its->first;
    IntSet& itset = its->second;
    for(IntVec::iterator itv = myVec.begin(); itv != myVec.end(); ++itv)
    if(IsValueNotInSet((*itv), itset))
    TSet.insert(*itv);
    NewMyMap.insert(make_pair(key,TSet));
    return NewMyMap;

  • How to find the selected item in alv grid or table control

    can any one tell me please
    how to find the selected item in alv grid or table control

    In table control, If you goto screen painter and goto table control properties ( f2 ), there is one check-box w/selColumn check that and give column name. Then add that column to your internal table.
    IN PAI
      LOOP AT it_tkhdr.
        FIELD it_tkhdr-sel_row
          MODULE tab_tkhdr_mark ON REQUEST.
      ENDLOOP.
    MODULE tab_tkhdr_mark INPUT.
      MODIFY it_tkhdr INDEX tc_tkhdr-current_line.
    ENDMODULE.                 " tab_tkhdr_mark  INPUT
    here it_TKHDR is internal table sel_row is field for selection
    After that, you can loop at it_tkhdr where sel_row is 'X' to get selected rows.

  • How to find the count of tables going for fts(full table scan in oracle 10g

    HI
    how to find the count of tables going for fts(full table scan) in oracle 10g
    regards

    Hi,
    Why do you want to 'find' those tables?
    Do you want to 'avoid FTS' on those tables?
    You provide little information here. (Perhaps you just migrated from 9i and having problems with certain queries now?)
    FTS is sometimes the fastest way to retrieve data, and sometimes an index scan is.
    http://asktom.oracle.com/pls/asktom/f?p=100:11:0::::P11_QUESTION_ID:9422487749968
    There's no 'FTS view' available, if you want to know what happens on your DB you need, like Anand already said, to trace sessions that 'worry you'.

  • How to find the difference between Project costs & Cost center costs?

    Hi all,
    Can you please explain me ? What is project Cost & Cost center cost and which are the tables having those fields of project cost & cost center Costs? And how to find the difference between their costs ? And please give me the functional Idea about it?
    Thanking you all in Advance...
    Regards,
    Chandru

    Hi,
    goto table COSP:
    1) object-no. beginning with 'KS' refer to cost-centre
       example: 'KSKOKA4711'
       with KS, KOKA = controlling area and 4711 = cost centre
    2) OBJNR beginning with 'PR' refer to projects / WBS-element
       example PR00001234

  • How to find the Model size in Semantics

    Hi All,
    Please can you tell me how to find the model size in Semantics.
    Thanks,
    Indu

    Hi,
    Instead of looking up the ID for the Entailment in DB_VIEWS you can better use MDSYS.SEM_NETWORK_INDEX_INFO
    For example:
    select name, type, id from MDSYS.SEM_NETWORK_INDEX_INFO;
    NAME TYPE ID
    MYMODEL MODEL 60
    MYMODEL_INF ENTAILMENT 69
    *** Space about the B-tree indexes on models and entailments ***
    Indexes created in RDF_LINK$ for a specific model:
    SQL> select name, type, id, index_name from MDSYS.SEM_NETWORK_INDEX_INFO;
    NAME TYPE ID INDEX_NAME
    MYMODEL MODEL 60 RDF_LNK_PCSGM_IDX
    FAMILY100 MODEL 59 RDF_LNK_PSCGM_IDX
    FAMILY100 MODEL 59 RDF_LNK_PCSGM_IDX
    FAMILY2 MODEL 56 RDF_LNK_PCSGM_IDX
    FAMILY2 MODEL 56 RDF_LNK_PSCGM_IDX
    FAMILY MODEL 57 RDF_LNK_PCSGM_IDX
    FAMILY MODEL 57 RDF_LNK_PSCGM_IDX
    OTHERMODEL MODEL 58 RDF_LNK_PSCGM_IDX
    OTHERMODEL MODEL 58 RDF_LNK_PCSGM_IDX
    0 NETWORK 0 RDF_LNK_PCSGM_IDX
    0 NETWORK 0 RDF_LNK_PSCGM_IDX
    MYMODEL_INF ENTAILMENT 69 RDF_LNK_PCSGM_IDX
    MYMODEL_INF ENTAILMENT 69 RDF_LNK_PSCGM_IDX
    Then get the size from DBA_SEGMENTS
    select bytes/1024/1024 MB, partition_name from dba_segments where segment_name in ('RDF_LNK_PSCGM_IDX','RDF_LNK_PCSGM_IDX');
    Specifically for our model 60 and Entailment 69:
    select bytes/1024/1024 MB, partition_name from dba_segments where segment_name in ('RDF_LNK_PSCGM_IDX','RDF_LNK_PCSGM_IDX') and partition_name in ('MODEL_60','MODEL_69');
    MB PARTITION_NAME
    192 MODEL_60
    192 MODEL_60
    60.0625 MODEL_69
    62.375 MODEL_69
    You would add them all for the size of the indexes
