How to find the location of controller class file on the server

Hi OAF Experts,
We have a extended controller in which we are making some changes. We have compiled the java file.
Now we want to deploy the .class file on the server. When we search on the server where we need to deploy the class file, we find two to three paths. Is there a way from which we can decide which path is actually referred ?
Is there a front end page available from where we will be gettng these details??

You can get the complete path from front end.
On 'About this Page', there is a section for 'Business Components'. When you expand that, you can see all the controllers used with complete path.

It is a simple SAMPLE code , you think and build a logics to handle all classes.
Try this sample, It doesn't handle the inner classes you put logic to handle the logics for inner classes.
The inner class format is it contains the character $ in the File location but inside the code you put "." instedad of "$" you to find out or put trials.

How do i find the location of Oracle password file in the HDD

we giv the location of the password file while we use the orapwd command to create one.
later if we forget the location of the password file (incase it is not at the default location) then is there a way to find it or do we just create a new password file?
secondly, for oracle to use the password file we giv the remote_login_passwordfile='EXCLUSIVE' in the parameter file. wat tells oracle the location of the exact password file??

The default location are OS dependant.
On Unix/Linus it is under $ORACLE_HOME/dbs
On Windows, it is under %ORACLE_HOME%/database
To change the default location, nothing inside database, but :
On Unix/Linux, you have to create a symbolic link for that file to the target location
On Windows, you have to change env variable (regedit) ORA_PWFILE and ORA_SID_PWFILE
So, you have to check this setting for the real password file location.

How to access a class file outside the package?

created a two java files Counter.java and TestCounter.java as shown below:

Both these files are stored under "D:\Test". I first compiled Counter.java and got Counter.class which resides in folder "D:\Test"

ya that's fine..if we have two java files where both resides in the same package works fine or two java files which donot have a package statement also works fine. But my doubt is, i have a Counter.class which does not reside in a package and i have a TestCounter.class which resides in a package "foo", in such a scenario, how do i tell to the compiler that "Counter.class resides in such a path, please look at that and give me TestCounter.class". i cannot use import statement to import Counter.class in TestCounter.java because i donot have a package for Counter.java.

How do I alter the bytes of a Class file to add calls to the methods?

If i had the bytes of a class file, and I wanted to alter the bytes that constitute each method for the class so that it included a call to the security manager, how would i do it?
1. How would I know which bytes were the opening of a method?
2. how would I know what the name of the method is?
3. How would I create bytes for something like:
   SecurityManager sm = System.getSecurityManager().checkPermission(thismeth, subject);
4. I assume that if by some miracle I can do the above, then all I have to do is call defineClass(...) in ClassLoader and send it the new bytes, right?

OK, if it will help anyone get me the answers here, I found a class on the internet that can read a class file and tell you where in the bytes a method occurs and what its name is, and how long it is. What I need now is how to convert a call into the correct manner of bytes.
For example, so I could add the bytes that would do:

Ehm, I wasn't referring to you at all... read up,
there's a comment by jschell saying that CGI might be

I know PHP/Perl/whatever might be easier for some
purposes, but only if you happen to know them and want
to/are able to use them. Ok. But you aren't the one asking the question are you. And the person who asked the question seems to have absolutely no familiarity with Apache or applets.
So whatever they do they are going to have to learn a lot.
And that does indeed suggest that in all likelyhood they have not investigated the alternatives.
And for the vast majority of internet applications, especially with smaller projects (obvious this person is not working with a large team), using perl, or something besides java, is going to be the best business solution. It is simpler, and more secure (probably due to the fact that it is simpler.)

their problem, so I try to solve it in Java first, and
only when that fails (very seldom) do I turn to other

Deploying the extended controller class file on server

Hi OAF Experts,
I am working on the already extended controller file.
I have made the changes and was able to comiple the controller class file.
I have one uestion for you. Now to put the class file on the server i am following the below steps:
1) Putting the new class file on the server where it is already present. This is done using Unix commands
2) Bouncing the server.
I hope this will reflect the new changes. Is there any thing else i need to do?

Read the API.

"Strings are constant; their values cannot be changed after they are created. String buffers support mutable strings."
Although when possible you should use StringBuilder instead of StringBuffer.
Always read the API at the very least before asking questions in the forums. Ideally you should do some google searching and poke around for an answer too. Otherwise you will get people barking at you.

Can I change the location of adobe organizer file folders in Elements 11 from my c to d drive ?
My laptop, which uses Windows 7, came with the hard drive divided between a C and D drive. the C drive, where all the programs load, is nearly full, and I would like all the photos and videos that adobe elements organizer finds and that I download into load on my nearly empmty and spacious D drive.
In other programs I can change this is file prefernces, but I cant find that feature in elements.

SG will probably have more to say about his reply, but in the meanwhile you might want to check out Premiere Elements 11/Elements Organizer 11/File Menu/Catalog Manager... and the Custom Location option. I suspect that is what both of you have in mind?
When Photoshop Elements 11 and Premiere Elements 11 are installed on the same computer, they share a common Elements Organizer (catalog) although they can be purchased as standalone products each with its own Elements Organizer (catalog).

Instead of creating a new Application Module, create a View Object programmatically. Creating the VO programmatically will attach the same to the AM.
