How to format the Grand Total with condition?

And I tried to use some conditional format since I want the Total for Ratio can be shown as 0.0 not 0. Thus, I tried to alter the XML by adding the condition to it.

It shows some Error Message as "DXE compiler error. No table 'GTGT' found in DXE. Source name: DxeAPI. XML: None". It it possible to add some condition for Grand Total? If so, how I alter my XML??

You need to calculate the total in a module of PAI (or PBO) event:
PROCESS PAI.
   LOOP.....
   ENDLOOP.
MODULE CALCULATE_TOTAL.
MODULE CALCULATE_TOTAL.
    GRAND_TOTAL = 0.
     LOOP AT ITAB,
        GRAND_TOTAL = GRAND_TOTAL + ITAB-PWB.
    ENDLOOP.
ENDMODULE.
In this way the grand total will be calculated as soon as the user presses enter or another command.
You can't insert the calculation in the loop of table control, because this loop runs the visible lines only, so it's better to calculate the total out of those loop,

I have a table that has three column as Instrument_Name, Instrument_Currency , Value.
I am using the "table view" to show the data on dashboard.The table shows instrument name , its currency and a value(in that currency).
Could it be possible that while displaying the grand total of "Value", i should convert the value in a single base currency as USD.

Well you can and should create a total on the calculation of the Margin%
But you have to define the calculation correctly, for example if you will use in the calculation the fields without aggregation
you will get wrong output but if you'll define the calculation as something like:
CASE WHEN ( SUM(Revenue)+SUM(Cost)) = 0 THEN 0 ELSE SUM(Margin)/( SUM(Revenue)+SUM(Cost)) END
and then create a total with SUM Aggregation I think you'll get what you asked for

I got 1 main query say Q1 link to another 3query, Q2, Q3 & Q4. In Q2, Q3 & Q4, I got the difference qty display based on individual repeating frame. Now if I need to sum the grand total of Q2, Q3 & Q4 ? how should I do ?
I try to put the sumary up in Q1, but the system has given REP-1517 error.

Add summary columns in your data model. Where to put them exactly depends on your report. E.g. if you want a grand total at the end of the report, you create the column outside the query. The Object Navigator shows a Summary Columns node beneath the Queries node for these columns.

How much is the grand total of all the packages arch supports?

The title says it all. Estimated, how many gigs of pkgs is their on the i686 repo, and x86_64 repo.
I was thinking of making a "reserve" of packages on a dedicated package machine. All packages would be downloaded/updated on the machine, when the internet connection is idle. When needed for my main computer to upgrade, it would just grab it from that machine at a blazing fast speed.

I am working with Smartforms. I am not able to print the subtotal in every page ie the Price for that particular page alone should be summed and in the final page I want the grand total also to be displayed. I tried the Total option in the Calculations tab but the value is just getting incremented on every page..How can I achieve this..

Declare two different variables for subtotal and total
Use them in the calculation tab of the table node.
After displaying the subtotal create a program lines node to clear the value of the subtotal. And dont forget to mention the condition in the condition tab of the text node of your subtotal as only before end of main window.

Calculate Results/not defined gives grand total and calculation / total gives top 10 sum. As far as I know, you can't display both at the same time.

I don't use OpenOffice (I have it on my internal just to play around with, but seldom even open it). I do use MS Word and have few problems sharing files - it's usually a font issue so I tend to use MS fonts for documents that I know will need to be shared.
Unless you need to make collaborative changed to the document, you could always save it as a pdf file. With Acrobat Pro you can even save a pdf file to a Word document with very little change in formatting.
If I were you - and you have a need for .doc or .docx files to travel and play nicely - I'd just invest in MS Office. If you don't have to send a Word file, try pdf.

Condtional formatting on Grand Total in OBIEE 11.1.1.6.7

We have upgraded a report from 10g to 11g and the report has pivot table which has conditional formatting set on the Grand Total level and is resulting in the following error in OBIEE11g.
“DXE compiler error. No table 'GTGT' found in DXE. Source name: DxeAPI. XML: None”

This report is corrupted. You can rebuild or re copy the xml from 10g to 11g and see if it works.

The value for the %Ach Total row should be 20% but in the report it is showing as 27.5.

Incorrect GRAND TOTAL (with COUNT DISTINCT)

Hi,
I'm getting wrong results in the GRAND TOTAL of a COUNT DISTINCT measure column.
I have 5 distinct customers in Paris and 10 distinct customers in NYC, I want the grand total to retrieve the sum of both, that's 15.
But OBIEE is calculating the distinct customers for all cities, so if there are customers in both Paris and NYC the result is wrong.
This is the result I'm getting:
City Number_Distinct_Customers
Paris 5
NYC 10
GRAND TOTAL 12
12 is the number of all the distinct customers.
The correct GRANT TOTAL should be 5+10=15

So just as a weird question...from a business standpoint, what does the "15" mean?
It's not a count of distinct customers, which is what this measure is supposed to be.
If I were to come up with a business description for what's being described, it's "a count of distinct customers by city....summed up so that it is no longer a count of distinct customers". What and/or how exactly would anyone use such a number?
Not trying to be a pain, just trying to figure out how this would be used.

To get the grand total, you need to pass the SORT itab to the function module. You need to populate the internal table with the fields on which you want the total or subtotal. If you donu2019t pass this table, you wonu2019t get it.
For ex:
   ls_sort_wa-spos = 1.
ls_sort_wa-fieldname = gs_plant-werks.
ls_sort_wa-up = 'X'.
ls_sort_wa-subtot = 'X'.
APPEND ls_sort_wa TO gt_sort.
So the above code, gives the sub total plant wise.
and if you want the sum(grand total) you can set the DO_SUM to u2018Xu2019 for that particular field in the field catalog.
So with this approach, you can get the sub total and grand total for a particular field.
If you donu2019t want the subtotal, just set DO_SUM, you will get the total.
