How to freeze message area

Hi all, i have a requirement. User want to see message when he is scrolling down the application.
To my knowledge messages can be displayed any where in the application using UI element Message Area.
Is it possible to freeze message area in a webdynpro abap application? So that message is visible while scrolling down the application.

           Let me explain my problem . I have two tabs in my tab strip control and each tab has its own message area , but the problem is when 2nd tab is selected and if i raise some exception is doesnt show in the message area of the 2nd tab as it is taking the first tab message area as default , so i had put the following logic in the modifyview.

   This logic is working fine for most of the cases , but When i selcect a TAB, in the event handler of the selection, i am performing some logic and raising exceptions, for these exceptions it is not working fine as my event handler is fired first before the "WDModifyView" . Is there any other way to control the "ENABLE" property of the MessageAreas.

How Many Messages are Shown

In mail you are given the options of how many recent messages are shown. They are listed in the settings as 25 50 75 100 200. Can these limits be customised to the various accounts and to the subsections in the accounts? For example I may only want to show 25 recents in the Sent in Account A but would like to see 100 in the Inbox for Account B. The way it's laid out in Settings it would seem that choosing a 100 means that every single section in all accounts saves a 100 messages. I thought it would be nice to customise the messages shown in various sections. Can it be done?

It's not that big a deal Richard - certainly not worth looking for an external App that might be able to do this trick.

Not all archived messages are displayed

Have a strange situation with archived items for a user. I can only see archived messages in the inbox window up to a certain date but when I do a find based on a later date than what is showing, the messages are there. Total items in archive show as 65535. Is there a limit on how many archived messages are displayed?

A very slight modification need to be done in your original code.
Follow this:
1. Initialise 1 global variable, say int Flag = 0;
2. private void Display_Message(String Message,boolean Error)
     IPrivateIDocClientView.IContextElement element = wdContext.currentContextElement();
     IWDMessageManager msgMNG = wdComponentAPI.getMessageManager();
     if (Error==false)
                                msgMNG.reportSuccess(Message);
                                Flag = 1;
     else

                                   msgMNG.raiseException(Combine, true);

You can have a different receiving email in the Messages app on each device : Settings > Messages > Receive At . I'm not sure that there is a different way to have the message only go to one device.

I got a new iPhone 5S and now my text messages are showing up on my iPad now, how do I stop them from showing up on my iPad?

How do I display a message at the bottom of the screen of a report (don't know the correct name for the area, but it's the area where error messages normally appear) using the CL_SALV_TABLE object model?
Is there a method in the object model somewhere that will place some text of my choosing in that area for me?

Hi Andrew,
you can issue an error message to be displayed as an error message:
MESSAGE ID .. TYPE 'S' NUMBER .. DISPLAY LIKE 'E'
TYPE 'S' messages are displayed in the status area of the next screen processed, program flow is continued after the message statement. The DISPLAY LIKE 'E' causes the message to be displayed in red color as an error message.

I've tried resetting my phone, looking for the pics in the new 'deleted' folder. I tried forwarding the jpegs to sees if they'll appear in a new message (but turnout the phone won't let me forward these pics). Apple is trying to say it's the 30 day reason, but I know that is not the problem. ALl of my pics older than 30 days were viewable. It is the upgrade that screwed this up. Help! Important pics!

As for iPhoto, it sounds like you were trying to move files around in the library. That is a bib no-no in Aperture or iPhoto.

I cannot see how many messages are in or the size of the trash or sent folders after upgrading to 3.1.10

I recently upgraded my Thunderbird client to 3.1.10 from 2.2xx and I no longer can see the size of folders or how many messages are in certain folders. The folders do show how many are unread, but not the total messages or size of data in folder as I could with the previous version. If these options have been removed for some reason is there a problem with reverting to the previous version? Thanks, Dave English

How many messages are in an archive file?

Is there a way to tell how many messages are written to each archive file? It looks like the default file size is 200M.

If you really want,you can cancel this job in sm37.
But i would say that you can let it run. as long as it does not affects the performance of PI system you should be ok.
a better approach would have been to increase the retention period in sxmb_adm,then go to SE38 and execute the program RSXMB_SHOW_REORG_STATUS, this will tell you how many messages will be archived/deleted once the job run.
You can set the retention period so that it takes around 50-60K messages, then let the report run ,should finish in 3-4 hours max (thats what i used to do), then go back to sxmb_adm and reduce the retention period.execute the report again and see how many messages it will archive now.
Keep on doing this until you archive/delete all the messages.

My text messages are coming through with ID as the phone number not the name? How do I change this on iPhone 4S?
