How to generate Javadocs in a Workshop project

I am having some issues with generating javadocs in a WLW project.
This command chokes on the non-Java files, such as .ctrl files
java-sourcepath myproject.jar comSo I tried building at a lower level
java-sourcepath myproject.jar com.mycompany.mymodulewhich works, but overwrites the top level index.html each time.
So I can't build an index.html containing all the classes.
Any ideas?

Since SP4 of SAP J2EE Engine 6.30(6.40) all trace messages by default go into one single rotating file set. It is located inside the respective <node>/log directory and is displayed by the Log Viewer tool under Cluster -> Server XXX -> ./log -> defaultTrace.trc.
However there is the possibility to switch this behaviour off either completely, or only for a specific location. This can be achieved by modifying two properties of the "Log Manager" kernel component on the respective cluster node.
If "ForceSingleTraceFile" is set to NO, then this functionality is entirely disabled and the traces are redirected to the destinations specified in the log-configuration.xml.

You can use OpenOffice.org, running as a server and command it remotely for document convertion.
Besides HTML to PDF, there are also possible other convertions:

In my web application, I have two projects: Model and ViewController.
I want to run JavaDoc on both Model project and ViewController Project combined.
But JDeveloper only allows me to run them separately.
Is it possible to generate Javadoc for all the classes in my application?

there is o option in JDeveloper for this. Maybe the javadoc tool in the JDK allows you to build docs for two source directories (haven't tried though)

With this information I don't think, that the 7334 is the right board for your application. The 7334 is a motion control board for stepper motors. As control signals it provides a step signal with variable frequency and a direction signal (high or low for fwd. or rev. direction). The step signal is generated onboard and controls the motor's trajectory (acceleration, velocity, travel distance). The duty cycle of this signal can't be changed by the control program, so this signal can't be used for your application.
The PWM outputs provided by the 7334 is static. That means, you can set frequency and duty cycle only in software, which is quite slow and introduces significant and non-deterministic jitter (due to the asynchronous communication to the 7334 this is even true if you are using a real-time operating system). These limitations don't seem to meet your requirements.
I still don't have a good idea about your timing requirements. If your response times requirments are in the upper milisecond regions (10 ms and above), you might be able to use the 7334. If low jitter and fast response times are important to your application, there are several alternative solutions including LabVIEW Real-Time with a multifunction data acquisition board and LabVIEW FPGA with an R-Series board.

I do not want to just create the services (proxy services and business services) but I want to create a template for 40 OSB project with the same scripts ANT/Maven.

The goal is that I have more than 40 projects to create and just the name of the projects that changes (when I say the name of the project ie the name of the OSB project, the name of proxy services and the name of business services ).

How to invoke javadoc in JDeveloper 3

I am new to Java and JDevoper so I started with creating my first class HelloWorld.
That all worked out fine but how can I invoke javadoc from JDeveloper because my Doc tab stays empty, allthoug I generated the docs at the command prompt.

The simple answer to your question is:
Create a library (myJavaDoc) which has a
Doc path pointing to your JavaDoc HTML root.
Add this library to your project's libraries
so JDeveloper knows to also search this path
when searching for documentation.
Note that a JavaDoc wizard is integrated into the upcoming JDeveloper 3.1 release.
Detailed Steps:
Menu Project | Project Properties...
In the Paths tab (in 3.0), Library (3.1),
press Add... button to define a new library.
Press New and create a library as follows:
Name: JavaDoc Documents
Class Path: <Nothing>
Source Path: <Nothing>
Doc Path: <Path to your JavaDoc HTML - i.e. [JDev]\myJavaDoc>
Press OK to define the library and Add it
to your project.
Now JDeveloper knows to search for this additional path for information and next
time you go to the Doc tab of your Source
file (which you have generated JavaDoc for),
you will see the generated JavaDoc displayed.

How to generat multiple invoices based on per employee/contractor/services?

I am in situation where customer is in business of body shopping and charges to his final customer based on individual invoice / per employee /contracor & customer services. This was happening in legacy system but after the implementation of Oracle Project costing and Oracle Project billing, customer is not able to generate invoices per employee services. Rather consolidated invoices are getting generated.
How to achieve this functionality in oracle project billing?
Lets take example - On Project P1 for customer ABC, 3 below employees are working on different task for 3 months.
Now after one month employees have been billed as shown below.
Emp 1 - 1000 USD - for 100 Hrs
Emp 2 - 2000 USD - for 200 Hrs
Emp 3 - 1000 USD - for 50 hrs
Now @ end of the month when invoice is getting generated is 1 invoice including 3 lines of amount total 4000 USD. There is problem; customer wants that there should be 3 different invoices per employee shoud generated based on above mentiond 3 diff lines for customer ABC.
I guess with oracle projects billing - You can split the invoice based on Accrue through date ( which is not possible in this case ) and agreement ( which is also not possible in this case ) and different currency ( which is again not possible in this case) - I may be wrong when saying it is not possible. plz correct me if I am wrong.
even I guess billing extension wont work. So is there any way to achive this?
Right now only option i am thinking is let single invoice of 4000 USD with 3 different lines should pass to AR and while priniting the invoice customer can create 3 diff prints which includes individual lines. and while applying receipts on the single invoice in the system, customer can apply the receipts to indivual lines.
but I am not sure about AUDIT issues.. Can some one think about any AUDIT issues comes to this approch or issues with TAX rounding amount issues ?
Infact I would like to solve this issue with the help of Oracle Projects billing and not with custom invoice print program. I guess someone from you experts can figure it out to generate muiltple invoice based on employees / suppliers / contractors / materials etc.
A suggestion on Extension / customization / seeded functionality of Oracle Project billing on thi issue would be gr8 help.

First of all thanks for your update :-) Your solution looks much promising.
I thought of using billing extension but rejected on the ground that I would end up in generating events based on employee for their corsponding billig amounts so finally generating a consolidated invoice only in One GDI run. But what i was missing was pre-processing extension and running the extention in loop based on employee count.
I am fully sure business would not have any issues of auto approving and releasing invoice upon generation. But my question is "is it possible to just approve the invoice & not release it using auto approve and release extension?" The reason is I think when GDI runs it only deletes Unapproved invoice & spare Approve invoices. - So please suggest.
Also please validate my understanding about your solution with an existing example -
As with the current example, there are 3 EMP presents so need to run GDI 3 times and develop pre-processing ext in a such a way that at each time it will put on hold on all the billable items except EMP1, and EMP2 and EMP3 on each consecutive run respectivly. And ensure that Auto Approve and release extension should be used in order to avoid overriding previously generated invoice? Am I right ?

How to generate code in Sun Java Studio Enterprise 8

Do I miss something? I can�t find how to generate code from UML model, which is not reversed from code. Documentation also does not speak about this.
Code update works fine if project is reversed from code, but if in such reversed model I create new class it does not appear in code and context action "Generate Code" is missing for such class.

1. I have created Java Project With Existing Source
2. selected directory with code (not whole project but directory with java classes)
3. After that I have created UML Java Specific project and
4. Associated UML project with previous created java project
5. I have selected "Code Generation" check box
6. Classes from java project were reversed into UML model.
7. After that I have created new class in java project.
And there is no Generate code action in this class context menu, also this class do not appeared in code automatically.
From UML project properties it is shown that UML project is associated with proper java project)
Same is with Java Application project associated with UML java project.
Documentation do not talks more about this. Only same steps. It looks like code generation should be working but it isn't. I'm I only one who face this problem, or do smth wrong?

How to generate individual HTML files from linked help?

I'm trying to figure out how to generate individual web pages - based on heading types - from a help project this is linked to a FrameMaker book.
I'm linking to the FM book, rather than importing, because the import process ruins my graphics. So, I know how to create individual web help pages using the import process; but that's not an option for me. (The graphics issue is a whole other discussion, which I've since given up on.)
So, I'm using TCS 3.5 (RH9 and FM10). I've successfully linked to the FM book. Each topic represents a complete chapter and includes a single Heading 1 for the title and several Heading 2's. Again, these are all in the same help topic because I'm linked to the FM book.
What I want to do is generate the web help so that new web pages (files) are created. In other words, I want breaks before each Heading 2. I want the resulting web pages to be named based on the Heading 2.
Is this possible?

I’m not sure I understand the problem (I’m using FM 10, RH9, TCS3): You can adjust .isf and all Conversion/CSS mapping, etc settings for an existing project (Linked or Imported) at:
File > Project Settings > FrameMaker Document > Edit Conversion settings for FrameMaker documents: (click Edit button).
Then, Go to FrameMaker Settings > Paragraph > Heading 1 etc. and click the box for Pagination.
What I don’t know is if you have to re-do your linking process from scratch to do your pagination settings right the first time (like create a new project with your Frame docs, which shouldn’t be hard to test if you have saved your CSS, Master Pages etc), or already have an .isf file with proper settings that you can specify at time of first import/linking. I already had these in place when I set up my linked project of a Frame book with 13 chapters – 350 pages – resulting in over 300 separate HTML files/topics (set H1, H2, and H3 levels to paginate). I don’t know if you can change these things post-linking, but it can definitely be done!
There is definitely no reason to have to have an entire FM chapter as one topic in RH. You may have to create a new project to achieve your desired results, I am not sure.
I hope this is helpful. Regarding RH ruining your images, I know what you mean. Through a painstaking process of research, trial, and error, I found that these Image options in the Conversion Settings produced the best results for me, though not as good as “ideal:”
·         Check the box for “Use Distiller to Generate Image”
·         Leave the “Do Not Regenerate Images” and “Preserve 3D Images” boxes unchecked
·         Under Preferred Dimensions: Check “Maintain Aspect Ratio” and check Width and Height – Set both to 0pt. (*This one was a key tip.) Leave “Scale” unchecked. (Scaling seems to do terrible things in RH.)
·         I left the Max Dimensions settings unchecked.
·         Set my personal preferences for margins (2pt all sides) and borders (solid, gray, 1 pt)
·         Under Advanced, Default format of PNG with color bit depth of 24. My graphics are all screenshots, so this is the reason for this in my instance.
