How to get a value of attribute/field From another Component/bol

I have to write some code in Component GS_CM/DocList.
From 'GS_CM' I have to get a value of field attribute-STATUS_CURRENT
From BT115QH_SLSQ/Details
Context Node = BTSTATUSH
Attributes = STATUS_CURRENT
In order to check and enable some other functions.
I know how to do it when I'm in the BT115QH_SLSQ/Details
lr_status ?= typed_context->btstatush->collection_wrapper->get_current( ).
lv_statush = lr_status->get_property_as_string( iv_attr_name = 'STATUS_CURRENT' ).
But, in my Componenet GS_CM/DocList the field "BTSTATUSH->COLLECTION_WRAPPER->GET_CURRENT" is unknown. It is not contained in one of the specified tables nor is it defined .
would be very grateful if you could help to solve this issue.

Now I checked the context on the component controller and it contains the statusH, the node which you want to use in the component GS_CM. So make sure to prepare the GS_CM component by adding the Status context, and afterwards just add the binding in the code I pointed out above.

Hi Experts,
For every process we creates, LC ES2 creates processID.
we know that if you creates a long lived process, all the values which are in proces will be stored some where in DB.
Here my requirement is by using processID I need to get all/some values/variables stored in database.
I am not able to get values using processID. Here I don't have clue on how to get the values.
Please tell me how to get the same by using Process Management. Link/guide would be helpful

Searchable means you can put a filter criteria on it (e.g. where amount > 50000)
Visible means you can add have this column returned as an output (and therefore you can add it as column in listview and see it in Task Details).
These two attributes were provided so that queries could be done against the process variables, but the exact contents of the variables are not allowed to be seen.

How to get the values of the fields inside pageFragment

I am working on Jdeveloper 11.1.1.5.
I have a fragment "home.jsff", in that fragment i have two textboxes(txt1,txt2);
Then i have created a bounded taskflow "myTF"and dragged the home.jsff inside it and used as a default activity.
Now finally i have "final.jspx" , in which i have dragged and dropped the bounded taskflow "myTF" as a region.
Scenario : - I have a button on final.jspx , and on click of that button i need to get the value of those two textboxes using bindings which is present in fragment .
On Click of button,I am using this method of pageDef and i am able to get the values :-
jsfUtils.resolveExpression("#{data.abc_homePageDef.txt1.inputValue}");
but somehow it gives me null in some conditions.I don't know why it sometimes gives the value and why it doesn't.
I have seen this video in which Frank has told about the API Mistakes : -

and i did the same mistake but what is the another approach .
If i need to get the current value of txt1, then how can i get it??

     I have requirement that i have to pass lineid as parameter to procedure.
     Line id is prasent in the vo.
So to capture the value of that line id after clicking update button.
I've created one event on update button in that created the parameter

and to capture that i write the following code in the PFR.

The problem I am facing is that if I do a session.getAttribute("cart"), I'll get a single value in return. What will that value be? Will it be "item", "submit" or "v"? And if I want all the values in v above, how can I get them?

None of the above.
HttpSession.getAttribute() will return what you put into it using HttpSession.setAttribute(). In your case, it'll return an Object which you need to cast to DummyCart. Then you can access the data in DummyCart using the API of the DummyCart class.

Set Default Value based on Field from another table for a custom object

I'm trying to set the default value on a custom object field to the value of an account field. I have tried the syntax 50 different ways, and just am getting no where. The account field label displays as DBA, the integration tag is ltDBA_ACCT, and it shows up in reporting fx area as Account.Text_22.
The custom object field I'm triying to update is also called DBA, which was originally the "NAME" required field. Does the table name, Account, have to be included? Do I need a function in front of the field?
I have been updating the external ID using the row ID with syntex <ID> (Less than ID greater than) so I know it is possible to set the Default Value, but <DBA>, <ltDBA_ACCT>, "Account"."DBA", and so on just don't not work.
If anyone knows how to enter this I'd really appreciate the help.

Ok, so if you want to default a field to the value from another object, you have to use the JoinFieldValue function. I think you understand that, based on your original post, but I want to be sure that you do.
Next, this will only work as a default if the record is created from the object that you wish to join on because a default works at record creation and the ID needs to be available for it to work properly. It will not work if you choose the related object record after the custom object record is created. You could set the value as a post-default, but that does not seem to meet your requirements.
The syntax for the Default Value would be as follows: JoinFieldValue(ref_record_type, foreign_key, field_name).
In your case, ref_record_type is '<Account>', foreign_key is [<AccountId>], and field_name is '<YourFieldName>'. The best way to determine what the field name is would be to create a new workflow for Account and use the Workflow Rule Condition expression builder to pick your field ("DBA") from the list. The value that is returned by the expression builder should be placed in the field_name variable in the JoinFieldValue function (minus the brackets and in single quotes).
Give this a shot and let me know how you do.

When I open the dropdown I am able to select another value.
Now I use method ON_CLICK with ON_CELL_ACTION, and when
I change value in my alv, system jumps into this mehtod.
But how do I get now the selected dropdown value in this method ?

How to get initial value of Child View from Parent View in ADF?

I am typically from a Oracle forms background and new to ADF.
In ADF,how can I populate the initial value for a new record in child view from the parent view?
For example.. using standard Departments and Employees tables which has parent child relation ship.
If I want to create a new employee.. how do I get the initial value for department_id of my employee record(employee table) from departments table in ADF?

USer, please tell us your jdev version!
If you have setup the data model in a way that it reflects this relationship (should be automatic if you use the 'create business components from table' wizard) this is pretty easy.
To check this, open the application module and select the data model. On the right side you see departments view and under it indented the employees view. This indent shows you that the employees view is a child of the departments view. This is all you nee for the model layer.
In the UI you open the datacontrol and open the departments view. One node it the employees view (as child). Now, if you work on a department (e.g. you drag the department view onto a page and drop it as form), you can add a button to create a new child (employee) by opening the employee node in department and drag the createInsert operation onto the page and drop it as button.
Then create a new page and drop the employees view (the child from departments view) on to the page and drop it as form. This form will then display the new row for thew employee of hte department.
Last thing to do is to add anavigation case from the departments page to the employees page and select this on the CreateInsert button.
The form should have the DepartmentId pre-selected.

he will have a lot more lines then after that. all I want is to copy the value in test ( on row 1) to row2 as the user edits say the Item code on that row.

Unfortunately formatted search is for current line only , you can't reference the previous or next line .
You can do achieve this with SDK but with FMS not possible .
