How to get Arabic dates in SQL*Plus?

I want to do a very simple thing.
I want to type in Arabic and Display dates in Arabic.
Instead i get ????? ??????? ????? ??????? ? ? ???????, ????? for this?
Why is this?
I then changed my Windows XP "Regional and Language Options" all to Arabic. Now, I get AR (Arabic) in my language selection bar at the bottom of the Desktop. When I choose AR I can type Arabic in Notepad. ُ
Even HERE I can type in Arabic: فغحث غخعق ةثسسشلث اثقث
But in Sql*PLus I get ????? ??????? ????? ??????? ? ? ???????, ?????
If I choose AR in SQL Plus and type in Arabic I get garbage characters?

Thanks for your repley. I don't think I need to change NLS_CHARACTERSET setup because I can load Chinese data into the database and also can see the data by running Chinese tool like NJStar Communicator. Therefore, I probably need to change the session level parameters, but not sure.

Apex 4.0 - Can see view data in SQL*Plus but no data in Object Browser

I have just started using Apex 4.o and migrated some apps. I have an issue with a report, but see the same issue with Object browser, which is easier to describe.
I have a view:

Thanks for getting back so promptly.
It just seems weird to me, as tables are just fine, but not views.
In the underlying schema:
SQL> sho user

I even explicitly granted access to APEX_040000 but no good.
In fact, I would like to know more about how Apex gets access to do DML against the underlying parsing schema(s).
This is a little frustrating though. It worked just fine in lots of apps in version 2.1 to 3.2
Am I missing something

Use IW format - it will make solution NLS independent. And all you need is truncate 7<sup>th</sup> day of each month using IW:

i have a question related to BRF Plus management through abap program.
In brf plus application end, Field1,field2,field3 these 3 are importing parameters.
Table1->structure1->field4,field5 this is the table,with in one structure is there and 2 fields.
in my abap program, i am getting values of fields let us take field1,field2,field3,field4,field5.
And my question is
1) How to pass fields to BRF Plus application from abap program.
2)How to pass Table data to BRF Plus application from abap program.
3)How to pass Structure data to BRF Plus application from abap program.
4)How to get the result data from BRF Plus application to my abap program.
And finally , how to run FDT_TEMPLATE_FUNCTION_PROCESS.
How do i get the code automatically when calling the function in brf plus application.

Since it is a Custom Fm i cant see it in my system.
Look if u want to bring data in internal table then there could be two ways::
1) your FM should contain itab in CHANGING option , so that u can have internal table of same type and pass through FM,
2) read values one by one and append to internal table.

To access ifs data from SQL, you need to (officially) setup a 'user view'. Refer to the Java API documentation on how to do this. Once you have created the user view, then you may access this view using any SQL tool.

You would need to create a parameter in your report called userloginid select the paramter data type to match that of the datatype this value is stored as in the table.
then the correct syntax would be select * from table1 where userloginid=:userloginid

I'll give it a guess as to what it is you want but I'm afraid you'll have to give some more information to go on. I appreciate it's difficult for people who are beginners or who don't have English as their first language.
Are you trying to run a SQL file? From SQL*plus you can do either of these:
SQL> start my_file
or
SQL> @my_file
N.B.: if th efile has a .sql extension you don't need to include it, but you do for any other file extension e.g.
SQL> @myfile.run

Hi,
To get only the changed data in the ALV grid of a WD, you need to capture the "ON_DATA_CHECK" of the ALV grid.
To this please do the following in the ALV initialization of the ALV table settings :
    lr_table_settings->set_data_check(
            IF_SALV_WD_C_TABLE_SETTINGS=>DATA_CHECK_ON_CELL_EVENT ).
You may also do this:
    lr_table_settings->set_data_check(            IF_SALV_WD_C_TABLE_SETTINGS=>DATA_CHECK_ON_CHECK_EVENT)
The above two ways would depend on when do you need to check for the changed data. If you want to check the data as soon as it is entered, then use the first method. Else, use the second method.
You need to register an EVENT HANDLER for this event.(You may do this in your VIEW or Component Controller).
In this Event handler, you would find an importing parameter R_PARAM which is a ref type of      IF_SALV_WD_TABLE_DATA_CHECK.
The attribute T_MODIFIED_CELLS of this interface IF_SALV_WD_TABLE_DATA_CHECK will contain the modified cells of the ALV with the old & new values.

From Node A, get the values of the attributes as
lo_NodeA->GET_STATIC_ATTRIBUTES( IMPORTING STATIC_ATTRIBUTES = ls_attributesA ).
Similarily get all the node values from B, C, D and E.
Finally append all your ls records to the table.
