How to get clipboard to paste as PNG instead of TIFF

(1) If I copy-screen-to-file (Cmd-Sh-4) the file is saved as a PNG.
(2) If I copy-screen-to-clipboard (Opt-Cmd-Sh-4) and paste, I get a TIFF file.
How do I get (2) to give me a PNG?

Minor correction. The command to the clipboard is Ctrl-Cmd-Sh-4.
Once in the clipboard, the info is just raster data. It has no file format until you paste it into an app that can handle such data. Like Preview, Photoshop, etc. It's then up to you to save the image into the format you want.
For instance, once I do a screen shot to the clipboard, I can choose "New from Clipboard" in Preview. It displays the image in a new window. From there, I can do a "Save As" into a number of formats. But it isn't anything until then.

SRM7 - how to get clipboard content at runtime

not sure this is the proper section as my question is kinda technical and ABAP-related, anyway.... SRM 7.0 has a Copy/Paste option on items of a document (purchase order or contract): once the user selects an item, the "Copy" button uploads the item on the clipboard, while the "Paste" one gets clipboard's content and generate a new item with that data.
I have to check at runtime which data are in the clipboard in a WDDOMODIFYVIEW post-exit enhancement.
For a specific customer desiderata, I have to check the "copied" position w.r.t. the item that is selected at runtime in order to enable/disable the "Paste" button.
So the question is: how can I get the "copied" item? I need to check some fields in it in order to eventually disable the "Paste" button dinamically.
I assume this question could be equivalent to the following: how can I access the clipboard area and get the "copied" item(s) ?
I'm working on the item main area (/SAPSRM/WDC_CTR_DOTC_IT web dynpro) and tried as follows:
DATA: lv_FILLED Type abap_bool.
DATA: facade_clip TYPE REF TO /SAPSRM/IF_CH_WD_SETF_CLIPBRD.
* check clipboard
CALL METHOD wd_this->MO_DODM_CTR_ITEMS->/sapsrm/if_cll_do_mapper~is_clipboard_filled
    RECEIVING
      rv_data_contains = lv_filled.
IF lv_filled EQ abap_true.
    CALL METHOD wd_this->mo_dodm_ctr_items->get_clipboard

Unfortunately, the second method (get_clipboard) seems to be private/protected. Is there any other way to get info on the copied positions?

EDIT: moreover, I noticed also that IS_CLIPBOARD_FILLED is not relevant for my task, as it returns always abap_true even though no item was copied. I guess that clipboard can be filled with every kind of data... I have anyway a workaround which is based on a post-exit on the COPY_ITEM method, in which I mark a custom field in the context ("copy_pressed"), so I know in WDDOMODIFYVIEW whether the "Copy" button has been pressed.

back on the argument as I probably found a way to achieve the desiderata... only a little tile missing, hope someone could provide me an help.
Basically, in WDDOMODIFYVIEW, I coded as follows:
DATA: clipbrd TYPE REF TO /SAPSRM/IF_CH_WD_SETF_CLIPBRD.
clipbrd = wd_this->mo_dodm_ctr_items->/sapsrm/if_cll_do_mapper~get_clipboard( iv_cross_tx = 'X' ).
This gives correctly the clipboard object, that is however not usable as object of type /SAPSRM/IF_CH_WD_SETF_CLIPBRD.
I should then use a method to retrieve the content of the clipboard in an usable format; I found out that the method
CALL METHOD (of /SAPSRM/IF_CH_WD_SETF_CLIPBRD) get_clipboard_content
    EXPORTING
      io_set_facade        =
    receiving
      rt_clipboard_content = test (type ref DATA).
is exactly what I'm looking for.
The problem is: what's that io_set_facade intended for? As it's a mandatory parameter I have to pass it in order to retrieve clipboard's content, but don't have idea on how to get it in WDDOMODIFYVIEW as it seems an private attribute of the interface IF_CLL_DO_MAPPER.

How to get premultiplied alpha in a png embedded with compression=true

Hi there,
I found that the [embed] tag has many undocumented features (and WHY ... WHY are they not documented?! and IS there any place where it is all thoroughly documented? Well, the one in the Flex documentation isn't really that helpful)
So you can embed PNGs in a compressed way like JPGs with compression=true and quality=70 i.e. to save a transparent PNG with JPEG compression.
BUT when I do that, the alpha seems to not get premultiplied, it doesn't behave like when I don't compress it. The shadows aren't dark anymore but almost lighten the areas up. When not using compression & quality, the shadow areas look like they're supposed to.
When using a PNG compressed by the Flash IDE, it works.
So, is there ANOTHER undocumented embed-feature which lets you control if the alpha-channel gets premultiplied or not?
That would really help in some cases.
Right now I'm still using the Flash IDE for that, but it would be nice to know if there is a way to make it work merely by Flex EMBED tags.

How to get rid of past songs from itunes match?

I recently had iTunes match, used it, wasn't satisfied. So I turned it off my phone... but the songs that I had once downloaded, are still there (kind of) you can't play them, but they show up like this: they show up like the "De La Soul" songs do. it also seems that since this, I've had sort of a tough time putting songs onto my iPhone.

These "ghost tracks" as I call them are a presistent, irritating bug that was supposed to be fixed in iOS 5.1. So if you haven't upgraded yet, do so and see if that fixes the problem. If not, then...
Connect your iPhone via USB and unselect "sync music" and sync. This will remove all the music on your iPhone. You may need to do it a couple of times, or more. Then see if the "ghost tracks" are gone.
If not, then try selecting the "manually manage music" option on the Summary pane and manually deleting the tracks, syncing again, and unselecting the "manually manage" option, then sync again.
If this does not work then you'll need to do a full OS restore, then restor from backup.

This is server side code , you should write in your C# code behind method for Click event of Link Button .
- Use 1st part code in your button event handler method. (Replace <username> with current user name), best way is to find the crome.exe location at your dev machine , and paste the path here -
process.StartInfo.FileName = @""; , default location is in user's appdata folder. Test the code.
- If the above code works , and if your crome.exe is in user's appdata folder , then you will need to find dynamic location of AppData folder for every user. That means the path should not be hard coded. The 2nd part of the code is an hint for how you can
find the appdata path in C#. Something like this

hi for this you need to change the formula in the std sap
as per sap's formula
suppose start date is 01.01
breakdown date is 10.01
downtime = 10 hrs
next break down date is 20.01
downtime is 5 hrs
mtbr =19 days X24 hrs-10/2
the above is how sap calculates
if 24 hrs is removed from the formula all the data will be in days

How to Get My Dashboard as Default Page Instead of Home Page in OBIEE 11G?

I have one requirement where i need to change default page to "My Dashboard" like what we had in OBIEE 10G ?
Rite-now in OBIEE 11G when any user logs in they are directed to "Home" Page, but i want to change the navigation to "My Dashboard" for all user..
I know the option to in My Account and Change the Default dashboard in Preferences , but it's manual way to do it for all end-users.
and the other is to create the PORTALPATH Variable and do it from RPD.
So I am looking to some other way there we can change the navigation path from system file itself...

Actually I am just concern abt the OBIEE Dashboard page, the link that u have mentioned is for Application Server, where we can manage the multiple Application Portals.
and it also doesn't come with Middleware that we are installing for OBIEE.
so i did get some useful information but not related to my question.
is there any place in EM(Enterprise Manager) or Console(Admin Console) from where we can manage the Default Portal for OBIEE Users?

I tried that but I am not able to get the outplut in .xls format .......I think "export all rows" property is used to export all the rows of the particular table "VO attached to it".....I dont think that this property has any control of file format....

Pandora Widget no longer working - how to get a web clip to work instead?

The Pandora widget was one of my favorites and now no longer seems to be working. So, I tried to make a webclip of the player and that worked fine. Awesome! But, it only works with the dashboard open and stops playing once I go back to working. Anyone know a way to keep it playing?

Ok here is how to fix your issue, go back into dashboard while hovering over your clip a little "i" shows up in the bottom right, then uncheck (only play in dashboard).

How to get iMovie to open with gopro instead of iPhoto?

I plug in my gopro 4 to my iMac and Iphoto opens with some of the content from it. I want iMovie to open with it instead but I cannot get iMovie to recognize my gopro at all. Any suggestions? I have iMovie 09' and it is compatible with the gopro 4 silver. My OS 10.6.8 will not support the gopro studio or else I would just use it. Please help.

Yes, I think so. If you launch the Image Capture application, then connect your GoPro you should see a box at the bottom left of the Image capture window which allows you to set which application (or none) opens when your GoPro is connected. Try setting the application to iMovie. Details here:

Could someone tell me how to get FCP to recognize a .png animation sequence (Exported from After-Effects) ? When I place the directory or files onto the timeline, I get a project 27 minutes long, rather than 10 seconds like it should be. I know this must be easy and I'm just missing something.

You exported a .png image sequence from After Effects?
Three choices:
1) In Final Cut Pro, click anywhere in the 27 minute long timeline and type Command + A to select all the clips. Once they are all selected Control Click on any one of the selected clips, and from the drop down menu choose Duration. Set the duration each clip is supposed to be ( 1 frame? 3 frames?) and click OK.
2) In Final Cut Pro, go to the menu Final Cut Pro > User Preferences. When The User Preferences open, click on the Editing Tab. Set the Still/Freeze duration to the duration you want for each of the stills in your image sequence and click OK. You will then need to re-import the stills, and they will now each be the new duration. This does not work on the stills you have already imported- you need to import the stills again.
3) Open Quicktime Pro (Quicktime Player 7) and go to the menu File > Open Image Sequence. . .
Navigate to the first frame of your image sequence and click Open. You will be asked to pick your frame rate. Set that and click OK.
When it opens, go to the menu File > Export and the Save Exported File As . . . window will open. Choose the codec you want for your animation (Pro Res, most likely) and, determine a location for the file and click Save. The image sequence will be exported as a Movie in the frame rate and codec you chose. Import that movie into FCP to edit or composite.

Yes, Thank you for using the term Place. You moved my focus off the clipboard, and Place set me back on course. Somewhere, the terms Copy and Paste need to be tagged to Place and Export. I'm a database designer who only uses Illustrator for forms the database fills. My need isn't yet met, but the rest should come with reading the right references. Thanks Larry!
