How to get default value using VA

using jdev 11.1.1.6.2
I defined a transient attribute with a default expresssion as
oracle.jbo.Row r = getPayeeNameVA().first();
if(r != null)
return r.getAttribute("PartyName");
I have a VO named PayeeVO with a vc haiving one bind variable. This VO is used to create PayeeNameVA view accessor. In PayeeNameVA the default VC is shuttled and value is bound to one of the view attribute.
However, on running the app I get below exception. please advise

apparently you access the wrong object, which is ExprEvalWrapper, and this cannot be cast to the Row object you really want to work with. I assume that Row is wrapped by this class. However, the ExprEvalWrapper is for internal framework use and the super class, which is org.codehaus.groovy.runtime.wrappers.PojoWrapper, exposes the getWrappeed method as a protected method. Without knowing your exact use case I think you will need to find another solution (e.g. expose a method on the entity impl class you then call from Groovy)

The events of BDT can be used to default some fields on creating a partner.
For this create a function module for ISDAT. attach that event in BUS7.
In the ISDAT funtion modulethe following code should be used.
For example to set the nationality:
I_BUSDEFAULT-NATIO = 'DE.
CALL FUNCTION 'BUP_BUPA_FIELDVALUES_SET'
EXPORTING
i_busdefault = I_BUSDEFAULT

How to get multiple values using HttpSession.getAttribute(java.lang.String)

I'm trying to find a way to get multiple values using the following method
HttpSession.getAttribute(java.lang.String)
Here's the scenerio. Its a already written application and now i'm trying to make some changes. earlier in the jsp page a combo box was used and value was retrieved in the servlet using the getAttribute method of Session. Now I'm using a html multiple selection list and have to retrieve all the values selected in the list in the servlet. Can anyone please suggest me how to do that. HTTPRequest class has a method getParameterValues which will let me do that but i have to do is using HTTPSession.

I'm not sure what you are trying to do. You can only use session.getAttribute to retrieve something that has already been stored in the session with a previous setAttribute. If you need to store multiple values under one attribute name using setAttribute, you can store an array, or an ArrayList or whatever type of Collection you want. The request.getParameterValues method is the only way you can retrieve form parameters than can have multiple values. If the servlet hasn't already processed these parameters and put them into the session for you, you have to use request.getParameterValues.

How to get default values on selection screen(multiple ranges)?

You can either use select-options or Ranges. If you want the selection screen to be displayed with allwoing user to enter values apart for the default ones use select options else use ranges. With ranges what ever values use hard code would be set and the end user will not be able to add any more values (or range of values).
Simply write the following code
tables : <name of the table from which the field belongs>
select-options <fieldname> for <tablename>-<fieldname>.
<fieldname>-sign = 'I'.
<fieldname>-option = 'BT'.
<fieldname>-low = '7000'.
<fieldname>-high = '8000'.
append <fieldname>..
similiarly add all the ranges that you need to include as default and in your select statement use the IN operator inthe where clause to include the range.
If using range replacethe select-option with the range statement.

How to get selected values (using checkBox) from DataGrid in flex.

i have a datagrid which is getting values from a XML file (getting this xml file from database using PHP and HTTP request in flex). i have created a checkbox in every row in data grid. and here is my requirement: i want to select tow or three check-box and would like to get all the values form that particular ROWs in some form , prefered arraycollection (such that i can pass this array directly to a bar chart) .. can some one help me as i am new to flex .

How to Get Default Value of a Data Type in SQL Query.

Hi all,
I am creating a procedure which will take input the table name and Column Name.
In the Output i would like to have the data type and default value of that data type which will be used by a another procedure to blank the selected column in the database.
I tried with SET NULL on the column but as the database is of navision the table have property set to NOT NULL.
Here is what i have done till now.
Create Procedure Get_Column_type

How to get Default Activity(Infotype 0315) using BAPI

Hi Everyone,
I have a task to get Default Activity by Personal number for my third party application. Unfortunately function HR_READ_INFOTYPE is not allowed for Remote Call.
Is there any simple way how to get this value from system using BAPI? E.e. using RFC_READ_TABLE function(but i don't know table name ).

Andrew is essentially correct. You can get around the trigger,
but not the sequence, if (and this may be a very big if) you can
guarantee that every time an insert is done into the table, from
whatever source, the statement looks something like
INSERT INTO tbl VALUES (sequence.nextval,other_columns_values)

For every process we creates, LC ES2 creates processID.
we know that if you creates a long lived process, all the values which are in proces will be stored some where in DB.
Here my requirement is by using processID I need to get all/some values/variables stored in database.
I am not able to get values using processID. Here I don't have clue on how to get the values.
Please tell me how to get the same by using Process Management. Link/guide would be helpful

Searchable means you can put a filter criteria on it (e.g. where amount > 50000)
Visible means you can add have this column returned as an output (and therefore you can add it as column in listview and see it in Task Details).
These two attributes were provided so that queries could be done against the process variables, but the exact contents of the variables are not allowed to be seen.

Incidentally, INDICATOR is a keyword in Oracle, so you may have problems using it as a column name. If so, you'll have to enclose the column name in double-quotes, and be careful to use capital letters inside the quotes.

How to Get Resource value which are referred in code behind file using IResourceProvider

Currently I'm working on moving the Resource file from "App_GlobalResources" to Database by using IResourceProvider. I created a CustomResourceProvider project using ResourceProviderFactory and able to get the resource values from DB which
are used in aspx page.
But i'm not able to get the values which are referring from code behind file.
Ex: Label1.Text = Resources.Common.Car; // This is still coming from resx file.
Can any one please let me know how to get the value from DB instead of resx file which are referred in cs file.
Appreciate your help.
The below code uses the ResourceProviderFactory which calls this method and gets it from DB. Please let me know if you need any more info.

How to change default value in contract by T-code ME32K?

Dear my freinds,
If you have one exist contract and then you use ME32K to change it, you will get default value for material group, plant and storage location in contract.
If you have one materail 1002 at plant AUXX and storage location 0001 in contract already, then you can see these value will be in contract below:
10     M     1     EA     0.00     1     EA     2B0880700     AUXX     0001
20     M                                                                                  2B0880700     AUXX     0001
30     M                                                                                  2B0880700     AUXX     0001
Our user does not want to display default value for filed material group, plant and storage location in contract by T-code ME32K.
Could you give me kind idea how to avoid it? which is really appreciated!
