How to get first 10 records from the database using JSP

i want ot get first 10 records from the database and then after clicking the next button in the page,it must show the next precceding 10 records from the database.i am getting the first 10 records .but how to post to the same page to get another preceeding 10 record.

Search the forums - this has been asked a lot. I usually recommend experimenting with tops and order bys until you're satisfied.

The "real" page number within a PDF is the count of the physical page starting at 0, zero.
pageNum numPages
The number printed on each page is the page label.
setPageLabels getPageLabel
You will have to open each PDF and your script would need to know the page label for that file. I would expect you would need to build a 2 dimensional array of the file names and the page label for the page within that array.

but when i execute the select query alone i can able to view all the rows.

I'm not sure I understand the question but you could certainly use the JDBC API from within your servlet to access and modify a DB. You could also use an EJB layer to access your DB and accomplish the same tasks.

How to fetch records from the database into a combo box?

I´m really new with ABLBPM and I´m trying to fetch records from the database to display them into a combo box as valid values for a presentation but I´m using a dynamic method with this code:
for each row in SELECT campo1, campo2 from TABLE

solicitudes[] = [row.campo1, row.campo2]
end
return solicitudes
And the debugger says that SQL instructions can be used only in fuctions and procedures that are executed on the server.
Do you know another way to do it?

Getting error while deleting rows from the database using the View Object

Fetching 3 laks records from the database

Hi All,
I have a requirement that if we are fetchin 3 lakks records from the database, can we fetch the records in a single span of time ,if yes then how?
If no, then we have to fetch the recods multiple times but since for the first time it is fetching 1 lakh records and for the next time how the bpel engine know that it has to fetch 1000001 record.
Can anybody came this type of scenario. Please guide me on this.

But if you reading so much of data at once, you better have the necessary infrastructure to handle the load like memory, jvm tuning, etc ...
If there is a limitation, you will need to assess your polling record count to be may 10K or so to strike a balance on the performance.

Oracle Forms returns the first record in the database when performing query

Once in a while when we query for a record on a form, say by first name Tom, then it returns the first record in the database. Other times it return the Tom's record. It only happens once in a while and if you close the form and reopen it and requery for Tom, then it brings Tom's record.
Does anyone know the issue what could be happening. It just happens every now and then that it's hard to reproduce.

What table do you have in mind, what data does it hold, and why do you want alternate records?

Restored my 4S. How to get pictures back from the cloud?

Background: I had a 3GS and on launchday of the 4S I picked one up. A white 32GB on AT&T to be exact.
I had been having some issues with the battery, so today I figured I'd try and start fresh. Well, I backed up everything on the cloud, and I also backed up everything onto the computer in iTunes when I did the restore.
I've got my music back. Cool.
I've got my apps back. Great.
I can't seem to figure out how to get my photos from the camera roll back. Nor do I know how or if it is even possible to get the photos and my old text messages back on this new restore. Also, none of my mail is coming back either.
I can see my most recent backup in the iphone settings under iCloud. And I can also see my most recent computer backup on the computer. But I'm not sure what I need to do.
Any help would be great. Thanks.

OK - understood.
There are a couple of ways of going about this. First, my recommended method:
Restore from a backup (so your photos, SMS etc are on the phone
Connect to iTunes
Set the phone to sync photos to a relevant app on your desktop (what app depends whether you're Windows or Mac) - this gets your pics onto the desktop and safe.
If you want to save SMS, use PhoneView (Mac) or TouchCopy (Windows) or similar to copy them off the phone
Restore the phone as a new device
Get the photos back the way you got music etc back - via iTunes sync
The second method entails using one of the utuilities around the place that can extract from the backup - I have no experience with them, so I don't know how well they work. That's why I go for the first method - simpler, more robust.

If you're trying to do this in a SELECT, you can use the LIKE verb in your WHERE clause.
Here's an Example
SELECT obj_name FROM tadir
    INTO prog
    WHERE pgmid = 'R3TR'
      AND object = 'PROG'
      AND obj_name LIKE 'Z%'.
In this case it will select every row that obj_name starts with Z.
If you wanted to find every row that the field obj_name contains say... 'WIN' you use LIKE '%WIN%'.

You realize, of course, that you have to call executeQuery() on the PreparedStatement and then get the results out of the ResultSet.
