How to get locations in Module?

How to get locations in Module?
We are using OWB repository 10.2.0.1.0 and OWB client 10.2.0.1.31. The Oracle version is 10 G (10.2.0.3.0). OWB is installed on Linux.
As we create target schema, it created location with host/port option. It is not allowing us to change to sql*net type connection. I tried after unregistering via CC as well.
I created new location under location explorer as SQL*Net type location (L-SQL). I tested the location and registered via CC.
I tried to configure in existing module (right click, configure) to point to new location (L-SQL). The new location L_SQL is not showing up in tables's location drop down list.
Any idea ?
I like to find out, what are modules use the specific locations like impact analysis on locations.
Do we have such features in OWB?
Thanks in advance.
RI

Hi RI,
there is no direct impact analysis on locations in OWB.
But you can use OMBPlus or public views for getting this info
Public views:
select * from ALL_IV_OBJECT_CONFIGURATIONS where configured_object_name='<module_name>' and configuration_parameter_name='DB_LOCATION';
and/or
select location_name,metadata_location_name from ALL_IV_MODULES where information_system_name='<module_name>';
OMBPlus command:
OMBRETRIEVE ORACLE_MODULE '<module_name>' GET REFERENCE METADATA_LOCATION;
OMBRETRIEVE ORACLE_MODULE '<module_name>' GET REFERENCE LOCATION;
OMBRETRIEVE ORACLE_MODULE '<module_name>' GET REFERENCE LOCATIONS;
OMBRETRIEVE ORACLE_MODULE '<module_name>' GET REFERENCE DEFAULT LOCATION;
OMBRETRIEVE ORACLE_MODULE '<module_name>' GET PROPERTIES (DB_LOCATION);
Last OMBPlus command can return different values for different configurations.

Oleg

  • How to get location of 3D object in a hierarchy?

    It's easy enough to get the location of a 3D object at the root, but how do I get the location of a 3d object that is in a hierarchy?
    For instance, if I have a baseball player (biped - 3dsmax), grouped as "player" and exported to Director, how do I then get the location of the biped's hand?  (or the glove that is linked to the biped's hand).
    I tried just doing the basic...
    put member("BBplayer").model("glove").transform.position
    but director can't find the glove.
    It can find the root model "BBplayer", but not any child object.
    Anyone know how to get the location of a child object?
    Thanks!!

    I downloaded and installed that xtra and it really just shows the same info that I get in my object inspector.
    Ok, so for a biped and related skin/mesh/objects to export correctly to the .w3d file type, one has to select all the biped parts and related
    meshes into one Group.  This group then becomes the object in Director that all things are based from.  My charcter looks and animates
    fine in Director.  However, I still can't get coordinate information from anything inside this group or inside the hierarchy of this group, only
    the group itself.
    If I look at the group, either in the object inspector or the xtra you suggested, none of the child models appear under modelResources, model or group.  They simply don't show up as being in this group or the children to the group.  Nothing does except a few things that are useless, like "group("Bip01 Footsteps"), or some of the nubs, like headnub, fingernub and a couple of toenubs.  Why some nubs show up and some don't is yet another mystery.
    Anyhow, none of this makes logical sense.
    I simply want to "get" location information for any 3d model in the scene, regardless of what group it's in or the structure.  Anybody?  It has to be possible, this is a fundamental need of any 3D programming.
    Thanks!!!

  • How to get rid of module snd_hda_codec_atihdmi?

    I've got the audio card M-Audio Audiophile 24/96 and the graphics card ATI Radeon HD 3450. So I've got only one audio card, which was always sound card 0 and the default sound card and which shall remain sound card 0 and the default sound card. The graphics card doesn't have an HDMI interface.
    Nevertheless I don't have sound anymore (without reconfiguring every audio software), because the module snd-hda-codec-atihdmi.ko is permanently, automatically loaded at boot time and put as sound card 0 and therefore the default sound card.
    Putting !snd-hda-codec-atihdmi in the MODULES array of /etc/rc.conf doesn't help. And `rmmod snd-hda-codec-atihdmi` doesn't help either. Then it says, that this module is in use.
    Is there a way, how to get rid of this - at least for me - annoying and senseless module?

    bgc1954 wrote:One way to do this would be to compile your own kernel and only include support for your M-Audio sound card.  That way the kernel can't drag in support for the atihdmi thingy.  May be your only option if blacklisting and setting the order of your modules doesn't work.
    I know this way, but I still hope, that there's another way.

  • How to get location of  file path.

    I have uploaded the file  but i need the path from where it is located.How to get it dynamically...
    Thanks
    Nitti

    Hi Nitti,
    Hopefully you have uploaded the file(say excel sheet) in the context (Va_TestResource) of your web Dynpro application in WDResource form.
    You can convert this WDResource to byte array and then to iwdwebresource. Now using this you can get the URL for the file.
    IWDResource res = wdContext.currentContextElement().getVa_TestResource();
    if(res!= null){
    try {
         InputStream i_is_FileStream = res.read(false);
         int i_int_NoOfBytes = i_is_FileStream.available();
         byte [] byteArray = new byte [ i_int_NoOfBytes ];
         int i_int_byteRead = i_is_FileStream.read(byteArray, 0, i_int_NoOfBytes);
         IWDWebResource webRe = WDWebResource.getWebResource(byteArray, WDWebResourceType.XLS);
         webRe.getURL();
    } catch (IOException e) {
    } catch (WDURLException e) {
    Hope your issue is addressed

  • How to get Custom Login Module to communicate with frontendtarget

    We have created a custom login module and placed it in our login module stack.
    So we have the following 3 Login Modules in our stack:
    EvaluateTicketModule
    OurCustomLoginModule
    CreateTicketModule
    Also we are using the standard SAP login screen for our frontendtarget, see our authschemes.xml entry:
    <authscheme name="cglogon">
                <authentication-template>
                    form
                </authentication-template>
                <priority>21</priority>
                <frontendtype>2</frontendtype>
                <frontendtarget>com.sap.portal.runtime.logon.certlogon</frontendtarget>
            </authscheme>
    Question:
    There are standard screens in the SAP login PAR:
                changePasswordPage.jsp
                umLogonProblemPage.jsp
                umResetPasswordPage.jsp
    How do I trigger one of these screens from my Login() method of my
    custom login module?  I thought if I throw some specific exception, these screens would
    be called?

    A bit more info.
    We created a new Authentication Scheme for certain iviews that are deemed more "sensitive" that required a step-up authentication.
    I changed the Iview property "Authentication Scheme" to our custom one.
    If I navigate into one of these more sensitive Iviews, I get the standard SAP login screen: <frontendtarget>com.sap.portal.runtime.logon.certlogon</frontendtarget>
    Whis is what i expect.
    I enter a username and password and click Logon button.  I see that it successfully hits our custom login module and goes through Login(), and Commit() methods and finally displays the iview i originally requested.
    However, on a failure, i want it to return focus to the SAP login screen with an error explaining why...(i.e. wrong password, account locked, etc.)
    However, It always give iview runtime exception with Access Denied.

  • How to get location data when uploading from DSLR?

    I have read that you can't add or edit location data when files are added to Photos in the new Yosemite version.  But does the location still get added when you upload via a wireless connection like on the iPad?
    If not, is there a workaround?I have ended up with thousands of photos on the iMac with no location data as a result of the upgrade.  I don't want to make the problem worse.
    Any help or advice appreciated.

    I'm not exacting sure what the difference between tagging and geotagging is.  I do know that at present on my ipad (and I haven't upgraded it from IOS7 yet), if I import my DSLR photos to the ipad, when in a wifi environment, it adds the location to the photos where they were uploaded.  Without wifi, no location gets added. I actually haven't figured out a way to add location data to the photos using the ipad, is there a way?  I have always been advised before to use my mac to do that, which is no longer possible in Yosemite as far as I can tell.

  • How to get the application module instance in backing bean.

    This is Ramesh, I am new to JDeveloper world.
    In my current application I have change password screen which allows user to change there password.
    Here this is a pop-up page. Here I don't have the view object and pagadef for this changepassword.jspx file.
    My aim is to call the Application Module method which takes the user name, old password and new password.
    In backing bean I am trying to call this method by using
    MyProjAM obj = _binding.getDataControl().getApplicationModule();  //throw null pointer exception.
    _binding is the object of DCBindingContainer.
    ( I have created the parameter called "binding" as my managed bean property and values as #{binding})
    But the above line is throwing the NullPointerException.
    Could you please help me to come out of this problem.
    Thanks and Regards,
    Ramesh Biradar.

    If your page has no page definition, then #{bindings} will be null during the request for that page.
    If you need your page to invoke a data control method when you press a button, the simplest (and declarative) way is publish your AM method on the AM's client interface, then drop the method as a button from the data control palette onto your page. You don't even need a backing bean to accomplish this.
    That said, you can refer to a data control in a backing bean using the expression #{data.[i]YourAppModuleNameDataControl.dataProvider}
    So, assuming you have a helper method like this:
      public static Object EL(String expression) {
        FacesContext ctx = getFacesContext();
        Application app = ctx.getApplication();
        ValueBinding bind = app.createValueBinding(expression);
        return bind.getValue(ctx);
      }and assuming that your application module is named SRService
    and assuming that you have correctly nominated any Application Module custom methods as being available to clients by selecting them on the "Client Interface" panel of the application module editor, then in a backing bean you can acquire an instance.
    Then, the ADF design time will have automatically generated you a custom AM client interface named SRService and you can reference that service interface in your backing bean by using code like this:
            SRService svc = (SRService)EL("#{data.SRService.dataProvider}");
            svc.yourCustomMethod(your,args);

  • How to get rejected file absolute path location in file rejection handler

    HI,
    Right now I am working in the below scenario in SOA11G.
    1) Create a file adapter service and wire it to a BPEL process.
    2) Create a Fault-policies file where we have referred a Java Action as a Fault policy.
    3) Refer that fault-policy to the Fault-Binding file and put both the file in the same directory with composite.xml file.
    4) So when any rejection message happened with any wrong incoming file, the Java Action is getting called.
    But as per my requirement I want to get the absolute path of the incoming file in my java action, so that I can write some other logic to copy that file to some other location.
    So is there any API available to achieve this or any logic about how to get the absolute path of a rejected file at runtime.
    Regards,
    Tripathy.

    Hi Omar,
    You need to use OPEN_DATASET & READ DATASET statements to get the file from application server.
    Steps:
    Open dataset in read mode
    Read the data set and collect into internal table
    Now, convert this into XSTRING by using function module SCMS_STRING_TO_XSTRING
    After converting into XSTRING, you can use CL_WD_RUNTIME_SERVICES=>ATTACH_FILE_TO_RESPONSE to download into local system
    Please refer the below links
    Upload File from SAP Application Server using ABAP

    Hope this helps you.

    Hi,
    Does anyone know how to get in touch with iCloud support directly? All iCloud support roads lead to CPU tech support. My stolen MBP finally came online and gave a location but I didn't check my email for a couple days, was sick, and iCloud only displays location map for 24 hours. Desperatly trying to regain the location info. I live in a small town so location info might actually lead to the recovery of my baby.

    - Powering off and then back on your router.

    - Change the DNS to either Google's or Open DNS servers

    java.io.File class can be used.
    File f = new File("filename");
    S.O.P(f.canRead());
    S.O.P(f.canWrite());You can set the attribute using Runtime class.
    Runtime r = Runtime.getRuntime();
    Process p =r.exec("attrib -r file");If you are working with unix,
    r.exec("chmod -permissionoptions file");

    In your case, you need unam and udat.

  • I perform a search, get results, find the message I was after. How do I locate this message within my (relatively) complex folder and subfolder structure?

    Hi,
    I use structured subfolder system to keep my emails organized (hundreds and hundreds of folders).
    When I perform a search, get a list of results and within this list I find the email I was after, HOW do I locate the message? In other words, how can I open the folder which contains that particular email?
    Thank you in advance for your time and effort.

    Not a perfect solution but maybe a workaround.

  • How to get sysnr value in a Function Module

    Hi all,
    I need to get the sysnr(system number) value of the R/3 system. I execute a RFC function module and need to get the value of sysnr of the system it executes in as a return parameter. Can somebody tell me how to get this value in the function module and return it.
    Thanks and Regards,
    Pratik

    Hello Pratik
    The system number has to be defined in the RFC destination. Thus, select on your local system (where you call the RFC function module) the corresponding RFC destination from table <b>RFCDES</b>. In field RFCDES-RFCOPTIONS you will find a string like this:
    H=<ip address>,S=21,R=N, ...
    S=system number
