I have table with one column named as "Title" i want the result as which data length in "Title" is more than 2.

You could also use dump(title) to get the internal representation and length.

By using this query, I am getting a dataset which includes all the columns of sharepoint list. Among these columns, I wanted to display only 2 columns (i.e Region and Sales type) using chart. I have created a Region parameter but when I click preview, the drop down box is giving me all the repeatative values of region like RG1,RG1,RG1,RG2,RG2,RG2,RG2,RG3.......... I wanted to display only distinct values of Region parameter so that whenever end user select region from the parameter drop down, it will display the respective value of Sales type column.
Also when I select only RG1 parameter, it is giving me a chart including the sales type of all the Regions. (it should display me only the sales type of RG1) How can I link these 2 columns so that they will display the values respectively.
          I would really appreciate if anyone can help me out with this.

By code, the CAML language doesn’t have any reserved word (or tag) to set this particular filter to remove duplicate results.
In this case, we could use the custom code to get distinct records.
Here are the detailed steps:
1.         Create a hidden parameter that gets all the records in one field.
Note: Please create another dataset that is same of the main dataset. This dataset is used for the parameter.
2.         Create a function that used to remove the duplicate records.
Here is the code:

=Split(Code.RemoveDups(JOIN(Parameters!ISSUE_STATUS_TEMP.Value, ",")), ",").(0)
4.         Go to the main dataset. Open the property window of this dataset.
5.         In the “Filters” tab, set the filter to be:
Expression: <The field to be filter>
Operator: =
Value: =Parameters!Region.Value
The parameter “Region” should be the parameter we created in the step3.
Now, we should get distinct values of SharePoint columns.

Hi ,
You can achieve this either creating New Selections or Restricted Key Figures.
Right click on the structute>>>> New selcection>>> drag the year to right [ Right Click on it >>restrict it with 2008}>>>Drag the respected Key figure.
So u will get the values 2008 in seperate column.
COpy the New Selecten that u created and paste on the structure , chage the descriprion and year to 2009.
do the same for 2010.
Note:you can also achieve this by creating variable offsets.Check the following link

How to get a value from one item into another

How can i get value from one item into another item.
Ex: I have a report, in there i have check boxes, and when i have checked some rows, and press submitt, a prosses computates it into a item on another page, and a branche redirects to page 3. Then i'm going to use the value in the item into a PL/SQL script in an report to show the submittet items.
How can i do this?
Computation script, pages and all that is fixed. But i dont know which PL/SQL statement to use to get th value from the item.

Use the V() function from pl/sql.
e.g. V('P3_MY_ITEM')
will return the value of that page item.
As long as the pl/sql is called from within the Apex environment.

The title of the thread is misleading as turning rows into columns is called pivoting, but the description of the issue wanting to join all the rows together into a single column, is actually called string aggregation.
As already demonstrated it can be done several ways.
1. with XML functionality
2. using the SYS_CONNECT_BY_PATH method
and if you have 11gR2, there's...
3. the new LISTAGG analytical function.
There is also an undocumented WMSYS.WM_CONCAT function, though this isn't as flexible as other methods in that you can't control the order of the aggregated data so easily, and using such undocumented functions in production code is dangerous, as the functionality could change in future versions of Oracle, as well as it's use making your code such that Oracle will not provide support if the code with issue is using it.

How to get a value from a column inside a table

I have got the following problem. I have got a table with some data inside. And a new column, which is not in the dataprovider. Now i search for an opportunity to go through the rows of the table and check the value of this column. I cant do this with the dataprovider or the rowset. My question is now how can i do this? The table object doesnt seem to have a corresponding method.

How to represent multiple values in one column

Hi,
I need some help in designing a schema for this problem.
I have :
- 4 domains
- In each domain there will be many groups
- users belong to multiple groups in multiple domains
Eg.
user1 might be in groups g1, g2 and g3 in domains d1, d2
In a text file I represent it like this:
user1 | d1 | g1,g2,g3
user2 | d2 | g1, g2
etc.,
How do design a schema for this. I don't like the idea of having comma
separated values in columns.

Good instincts. You don't want to have comma-separated values in a column, that violates basic normalization rules.
You would probably want something like this

How to get the value in one JSP page to another?

I have problems in passing the value around in JSP. I have two JSP pages as below:
test1.jsp
I try to get the vaule from my textbox by using:
String strUser = request.getParameter ("strUserName");
Then i print out by using: out.print(strUser); then i can get the value and put on my page (For example, i get ABC on my page).
test2.jsp
Next, i want to get the value from strUser (which mean that the one i already display on page in test1.jsp, ABC) to insert into my table by using INSERT INTO statement. Then i try by using

Is it possbile for me to do that? I cannot get anything to insert into my table. Then i tried out.print(strUser1); then i found that i get NULL value.
Could you please give me some guidance?

Oh boy, this is a fun one.
onchange should work theoretically (in this example, assume that f05 is the target column that should be set and "this" is the source item whose value is to be transferred to f05 on the same row (row 2)):
onchange=$s('f05_0002',$v(this));
BUT the catch is of course that needs to be different for every row (can't hardcode the '2'), so you need something to dynamically create the row number component.
I wrote this for an app I'm working on that uses master-detail forms heavily (I also wrote a lot more code to read the fmap array that is in v4 so that I can reference my cells via their column name and not the numeric position (so "f05 can be determined w/o hard coding), insulating against columns moving around, columns being made display-only etc. but I won't bore you with that here unless you really need to know).

So in essence, pass in "this" which will be a reference to the current item, largely to determine what row we're on. getRow will return 1, 2, 3, etc. formatRow will take that and return 0001, 0002, 0003, etc. Once that is done, it'll concatenate with the f05 and f04 to refer to the correct columns (determining f05, f04, etc. dynamically is another matter if you really need to but I didn't want to complicate this answer too much at once).
Note: above I also use a isThingEmpty() function that I wrote. It does nothing other than check the item for an empty string, if the item is null, etc. Just do your own evaluation of empty-string, no-value, etc. there.
It would indeed be nice though if Apex had a better way to delclaratively access the tabular form items though. Despite all the v4 enhancements, tabular forms were not entirely upgraded to the same full functionality of page items.

double click on the plug name .it will navigate you to the event handeler method . Now add the outbound parameter variables in the

you can retrive the value freely in v2 inbound event handeler

I have created two forms. First form named as Hotel reservation req and second form named as Hotel Res Summary.
I the first form i have one field named Requisition_number and I have one button and when i press the button in the first form the summary form is called and it need to bring all the data regarding that requisition_number in first form.
I have written a query in when button pressed Like this

However, if it is only your Hotel Reservation and Hotel Res Summary forms that will use the REQUISITION_NUMBER then use a Parameter List instead. Global variables are always of type CHAR so you could encounter conversion errors if you don't explicitly cast the value to the correct data type. Parameter object can be of type CHAR, NUMBER and DATE and offer greater flexibility. If you need an example of how to use a parameter list, open the Forms Help system, go to the Search tab and search on "Creating a Parameter List." This article give a brief overview and a list of all the built-ins associated with Parameter Lists. You will need to create a Parameter object in your Hotel Req Summary form to catch the parameter passed via the Parameter List. Then you will need to write code to do something with the value passed (usually in the When-New-Form-Instance trigger).

How to get array values from one class to another

Supposing i have:
- a class for the main()
- another for the superclass
And i want to create a subclass that does some function on an array object of the the superclass, how can i do so from this new subclass while keeping the original element values?
Note: The values in the array are randomly generated integers, and it is this which is causing my mind in failing to comprehend a solution.
Any ideas?

If the array is declared as protected or public in the superclass you can directly access it using its identifier. If not, maybe the superclass can expose the array via some getter method.
If this functionality can be generified (or is generic enough) to apply to all subclasses of the superclass the method should be moved to the superclass to avoid having to reproduce it in all the subclasses.
