How to get multiselect list values

I have a multiselect list set up called :P_Staff_ID which uses a LOV (select staff_name, staff_id from staff)
to display staff names to the screen.
What function can i use to get all the selected names in the list for my submit process?

Ray,
The selected values will be returned as a colon delimited list, e.g.: 20:30:40:50
You can use the htmldb_util.string_to_table function to convert it to something a more suitable for inserting. This is the spec of the function from the documentation:
HTMLDB_UTIL.STRING_TO_TABLE (
p_string IN VARCHAR2,
p_separator IN VARCHAR2 DEFAULT ':')
RETURN HTMLDB_APPLICATION_GLOBAL.VC_ARR2;
and a sample that loops over the values:

Hi,
I have a requirement where whenever a user enters a creates(iw31) or changes(iw32) an order then we have to validate the materials entered by the user before saving the order.We have en interface structure for the transaction 'CAUFVD'.Which gives us the values of functional location and equipment entered under the Reference object.But we need to validate all the object list functional locations and also Order components enetered by the user.Can any one tell me how to get the values of all these fields entered by the user?
And also I need to query Equipment Bill of Material.What does this equipment BOM refers to .Is it the equipments under Object list or something else.

Hi Anu
There is a user exit that gets trigerred when you try to save a work order . The exit is 'EXIT_SAPLCOIH_009' . This exit has the structure CAUFVD_IMP which will give you all the order header values entered by the user.
User exit 'EXIT_SAPLCOBT_001' will give all the values entered by the user including order components. Also check the package CO amd see if there is any other function group suiting your requirement.

Here is a Q. I have two multiselect lists item on the page. I need to use the values of these items in ODP. The button calls javascript, and javascript envoke ODP. Everything is working fine if i submit the page and then call javascript, But this is extra step and it's not kind of cool...
So i am looking for the way to pass the value of multiselect lists to javascript without submitting the page first...

May I know what is purpose of this requirement, as olaf said,you may parse the T-SQL code (or the execution plan), which is not that easy.
I have noticed that the condition values in your Stored Procedure(SP) are hard coded and among them there is a date values, I believe some day you may have to alter the SP when the date expires. So why not declare 3 parameters of the SP instead hard coding?
For multiple values paramter you can use a
table-valued parameter. Then there's no problem getting the values.
If you could elaborate your purpose, we may help to find better workaround.

How to Get a list of pending deferred tasks

Hi all
there is a bunch of unfinished threads here asking how to get a list/report of deferred tasks that are associated with user objects and scheduled for future execution.
I need this list and I can't find out how to get it anyway.
I don't care if it's a SJSIM report, a database query or a SJSIM log mining exercise.
Does anyone know how to do this?
My org has just gone live with SJSIM and I want to report on the number of legacy resource accounts that have had deferred tasks created against them for future disabling/deletion (our consultants added this workflow based on rules with an email warning, a disabling deferred task set for 2 weeks from now and a deleting deferred task for 6 months after that). Hopefully I can say "look, 5,000 legacy accounts are going to be cleaned up!

How to get the list of users who has access for list of tcodes.

Go to transaction SUIM, this has a number of reports for users/authorisations
open the Where used>Autorization Values>In Users
and double click to execute
in authorisation object, enter S_TCODE
then press the "Enter Values" button
It will offer entry boxes to put the transaction code you are interesed in.
Then execute and the list of users with access to this transaciton code will be returned.

How to get the selected value in SelectOneMenu in backing bean

There r two ways of getting the values into the list. First one is hardcoding the values and the second one is use the list and get the values into the list by firing a query in the database.
Inorder to display the values in the second menu based on the first onces selection we need to add an attribute to the first selectonemenu known as valueChangeListener and we need to sumit the page.

I assume you are talking about JDeveloper 10.1.3 in where there is no JavaScript API ADF Faces.Here you will have to use document.getElementById() to access the radio button component (which is a list component). You can look at the generated HTML for how the component and its ID look like.
However, what is the usecase that you cannot handle in native JSF ?

JList and ListSelectionEvent : How to get the deselected Value

Hi,
All of you know:
The ListSelectionEvent occurs two times:
1.) An Enty is deselected
2.) The new Entry is selected.
I wanted to use the first occurence to save some data from the deselected Entry (from an Editor to a Record), and the second occurence to load the Data from the selected Entry to an Editor.
(Until now, i use a additional lastSelectedIndex Property for that, but i dont find this very elegant.)
Now i found that the index is allways the same. The output of the code is:
Event 0 Index:2
Event 1 Index:2
Has anybody an idea how to get the deselected Value ??

I have a selectedIndex: 5
Now i select a other item in the List, say Index: 2.
The ListSelection-Event occurs two times:
My understand was:
The first occures, because an Item was deselected: index should be:5
The second occures, because an Item was selected : index should be:2
Is my thinking wrong?
The code above allways gets only Index 2.
How can i get the Index/Value 5,

It appears that this structure is primarily used for where-used look-ups for components within the BOM. I don't know if any of these are what you're in need of.
