Hi
i have two fields gldate and startdate
gldate values are like 1/31/2011,2/28/2011,3/31/2011,4/30/2011,5/31/2011 ...
startdate values 1/1/2011,2/1/2011,3/1/2011,4/1/2011,5/1/2011 ...
i need a condition like gldate<startdate
if startdate is 11/1/2011 then i get all the values before 11/1/2011 values
im using filter for date filed
let us filter values is startdate--11/1/2011 and gldate is 11/30/2011 but that cond falls
how to get this condition
plz its urgent to me

How to get previous day of the date

Hi,
for a given date I need one day minus as a result date
my input would be any date
for example :
Input Date : 2006-03-22 ( yyyy-mm-dd)
Output should be : 2006-03-21
If my input is 1st of April 2006, output i would expect is 31st March 2006
Please suggest how to achieve this

How to get ATINN value based on material number and Class Type ?

I have below SELECT stmt code which gives the correct value of atwrt based on materil no and ATINN.
However in quality system, it is failing because in quality system "atinn" value is not 0000000381. It is different.
So how can I get ATINN(Internal characteristic) value based on material number and Class Type?

Calling boDocumentInstance.getStructure() will retrieve the entire structure for the document.

How to Get Default Value of a Data Type in SQL Query.

Hi all,
I am creating a procedure which will take input the table name and Column Name.
In the Output i would like to have the data type and default value of that data type which will be used by a another procedure to blank the selected column in the database.
I tried with SET NULL on the column but as the database is of navision the table have property set to NOT NULL.
Here is what i have done till now.
Create Procedure Get_Column_type

How to get a Value based on Foreign Key item

I have two tables as below
TABLE 1
T1_COL1 NUMBER ---primary_key
T1_COL2 NUMBER ---foreign_key to TABLE2.T2_COL1
TABLE 2
T2_COL1 NUMBER ---primary_key
T2_COL2 VARCHAR2(40)
Table 2 is my reference table. I have created a form for table 1, however I want to show user the value of T2_COL2 all the time . My user is not interested in seeing primary key value data.
Can some please advise what is the best way to do this in APEX.

One way to do what you want done is to
1) On the form make the page-item corresponding to T1_COL2 a hidden item
2) Create a new page-item of type Display Only.
3) Set the Source Type for this item to be 'Sql Query'
4) In the Source Value or Expression enter the query select T1_COL2 from table_2 where t2_col1=:pxx_t1_col2Varad

You probably want to look at function module DYNP_VALUES_READ to allow you to read the values of the other screen fields during the F4 event... below is a simple demo of this - when you press F4 the value from the p_field is read and returned in the p_desc field.

1) Whenever you pivot rows to columns, no matter what version of Oracle and no matter what method you use, you have to decide in advance how many columns you are going to have and what the names of the columns are. This is a requirement of the SQL standard.
2) I use the WHERE clause to get just the data for this year
3) With EXTRACT, I get just the month without the year.
4) Using DECODE, I put every month's data into the correct column
5) Once I do all that, I can just GROUP BY order_code while SUMming all the data for each month.

Every webdynpro component has a global controller called the component controller which is visible to all other controllers within the component.So whenever you want to share some data in between 2 different views you can just make it a point to use the component controller's context for the same. For your requirement (within your popups view context) you will have have to copy the component controllers context to your view. You then will have to (programmatically) fill this context with your desired data in this popup view. You can then be able to read this context from whichever view you want. I hope that this would have made it clear for you. Am also giving you an [example|http://****************/Tutorials/WebDynproABAP/Modalbox/page1.htm] which you can go through which would give you a perfect understanding of all this. In this example the user has an input field in the main view. The user enters a customer number & presses on a pushbutton. The corresponding sales orders are then displayed in a popup window for the user. The user can then select any sales order & press on a button in the popup. These values would then get copied to the table in the main view.

You can use GetDatabankValue(HeaderName, Value) to get the value from databank and SetDataBankValue(HeaderName, Value) to set the value to databank.
You can refer to the API Reference to see list of associated functions and techniques we can use with related to Data Bank.
This is the for OFT but if you are using Open Script then you have direct access for getting the databank value but when it comes to setting a value you have to use File operation and write you own methods to do the set operation.

I am updating Va02 using BDc .. this is done however i m struck at this point..
I want to display the log i.e messages like data was updated ,, or any error ...
As far as i know these logs are stored in BDcmsgcoll but how to get these value to be
displayed in report once the update is done ..
