Hi,
Iam having a Table which consists of two columns named "ID" (number datatype) and "JoinDate" (Varchar datatype). I would like to retrive the records whose join date is 3 months before. Any one pls give SQL for this scenario?

Why your joindate is varchar type? Which the sample data looks like? Is the format consistent?

I'm not sure it is possible to get the PL/SQL record type through JDBC. Please try to access this procedure through JDBC to see if it is possible.
You may need to convert the record type, to an object-type, i.e. wrap the procedure in another procedure that converts the record type. You could also just wrap the procedure in another that expands the record values into individual output parameters.

How to get rid of the "time out" when using DAQ AI in the example program

I try an example file called "AcqVoltageSamples_IntClkDigRef" (Visual C++ .NET). It works great. However, if the program has not recieved the data, it sent out a timeout message. How to get rid of the "time out"? I cannot find anywhere in the code. Is this a property I have to reset somewhere else?

Hello Yajai,
The example program will use the default value for timeout, 10 seconds. To change this, you will have to set the Stream.Timeout value. I inserted this function into the example and set it equal to -1, and the program will wait indefinitely for the trigger signal without timing out. Please see the attached image to how this was implemented.

LMS - log rotation based on time period

Dear All
can we configure log rotation to be based on time period (ex:past one year)instead of log file size.
if it is feasable please advise who to do it?

I am not sure if I understand it correct, but you can do this easily by defining the expected file size of the log file to rotate;
logrot runs on a scheduled basis and checks if the log file has reached the defined file size - if not it will do nothing else the file will be backed up. The key point is the configured file size;
I use this for the syslog file to have a backup for each month:
schedule logrot to run every first of each month and set the file size to a low value guarantes that I ve got a file for every month;

there is one really easy way to get system time, the api gives a great example of code on this. use gregorian calendar, which you'll find in the api under GregorianCalendar. You only need to create one instance of GC, ie Calendar time = new GregorianCalendar();
you save seconds, minute and hours into int values, so you don't have to access the system time every second, you can create a thread which adds one to the int second value, if oyu see what i mean, for example, i have saved the hours, minutes and seconds as int values;

I know this looks like gibberish but it should work. If not, try to fix the problem, i have written from memory really but i guarantee you, this gets the time then every second, simply adds one to the second and then formats time. You can also access the day, month and year then format them using the above code. I don't like giving code since you should really do these things yourself but it is 2:04am, i have nothing better to do and i am not tired so i did you a favour - i have become what i always did not want to, someone ho stays upall night writing code.

Can someone tell me how to get the Duration, as well as Execution Start/Stop times for a given run (Instance) of a Report, stored in History?
For example, on the BO Server in InfoView, I can browse the History of each report, and for each run, I can click the details and view the Duration and Start/Stop times for that run. How do I get that information in Java via the SDK?
Neither IProcessInfo nor ISchedulingInfo seems to have this information.
For example, ISchedulingInfo's Start/Stop Times are for general scheduling (when the report will stop being scheduled). That is not what I want.
I need specific data for a given completed Run, namely its duration and time endpoints. Thanks a lot.

You may enable instance tracking option on the ESB Console and track the instances audit information and also from the logs(log.xml) when ESB loggers are set to DEBUG mode.

I am using Jdev 11.1.2.0.
I had one database table. In that table one variable as bgnDtm and the datatype as oracle.jbo.domain.Timestamp. In my Impl class I declare one variable as beginDate(DateType as oracle.jbo.domain.Date).
Now I am using the conversion as beginDate=(Date) SampleVO.getAttribute("bgnDtm ");.If I using this scenario I got the Type cast error. so how can I separate Date and Time value.
So how to do. Please provide some suggestions.

the output is:

But Actually it is 8.30
So how can i get exact days and time difference between two dates in Oracle?

I am trying to select records based on a status 'N' or 'A' by a certain date as long as by the chosen date there is not another status given to the same course like 'D' or 'X'.

ABAP - HR : Need macro or FM to get record based on changed on date (AEDTM)

I am having the requirement to get record which changed on yesterday (for sy-datum - 1). That means if record is updated today, by using rp_provide_from_last I will get today's record. But i should get yesterdays record.
we can get this by using select or loop or provide - endprovide. Taking performance issue in consideration, this statements are not allowed.
So please provide me any macro or function module which we can retrive the record based on AEDTM.
I am using PNPCE LDB and i need to extract data for PA infotypes.

There is no macro which can retrieve the record based on AEDTM. One more thing to say is statement provide ...endprovide statement can be used and there would be no performance issue if i am not wrong. Anyway try this code.
