How to get Result Class from Model invocation

Hi experts,
I would like to invoke a webservice request which return a list of Object as a response.
I refer to the adaptive web service model for web dynpro, however, the example is only to sent a list of input object to the web service.

SaleDetails details = (SaleDetails) wdContext.currentRequest_SendEmailElement().getAttributeValue("saledetails");

Hi,
You are talking about the response of the model node. If the webservice is supposed to return an object of type SaleDetails, then the response node will contain a node of SaleDetails type with all the attributes of SaleDetails.
You dont have to explicitly cast anything.

You normally don't have to do anything special. The view controller project has a dependency to the model project. So simply typing the class name should show you hte option to generate the need import statement for the class.
However, not all classes which reside in the model project should be imported into the view Controller as it might break the MVC pattern.

How to get the class from selected row in af:table

I know that you can get individual selcted row values from an af:table using getRow().getAttribute("attName").
But, can I obtain the class that the table iterator used to populate the table?
For instance, a table lists the result of an employee search that was bound to a session bean method returning List<Employee>.
After selecting the employee of interest and clicking a command button I want to access that instance of the Employee class to pass onto the session bean to do some stuff.
I don't want to hit the database to do it either (via a query on a key value for example) - the search iterator has already retrieved it, I just want to access it and do something with it.
Possible?

Hi,
if you use ADF try iterator.getCurrentRow().getDataProvider() on the binding container. If you use ADF Faces without then the Row object is the instance of your class

How to get missing classes from J2SE to J2ME?

Hello,
I am currently developing a J2ME project. As IDE I use Eclipse with the plugin EclipseME. It works great.
Now I have the following problem: I need some classes which are present in J2ME (e.g. sorting of Strings, date functions). So I downloaded the source code for the JDK. Now I want to compile the missing classes (the ones that are not in the libs coming with the WTK) from JDK source into my project, so I can use these functions which are missing in standard J2ME. Importing the whole JDK tree is problematic, because then all classes will be compiled from source. This will cause errors with the JVM on the target device.
Is there a possibility to import the JDK sources and only let compile the classes that are missing in J2ME libs? What is the best way to do this? Or do I have to add the source of each class (and it's dependencies) i need manually? Can I in this case use the original tree of packages and classes (e.g. java.util.ClassName) or do I have to create and new subtree (project.ClassName) in my project and import from there?

Generally, this is not possible. The classes have far to many references to other classes, and there are far to many incompatibilities to make it work.
Best solution is to make your own J2me substitution, or find some j2me api that already does what you want.

How to get a formula from the user from a text box in a webpage

Hi. I would like to know how to get the formula from the user who enters in a textbox. This formula can have any number of variables starting with a and goes on.
The complexity of the formula can go upto sin, cos, ln, exp. Also user enters the minimum and maximum values of these variables. Based on a specific algorithm (which I use) I would calculate a *set of values, say 10, for each of these variables, substitute in the formula and based on the result of this formula, I select ONE suitable value for each of the variables.
I don't know how to get this formula (which most likely to be different each time) and substitute the values *which I found earlier.
Kindly help me out in this issue.

The textbox is the easy part. It's no different than getting a String parameter out of an HTTP request.
The hard part is parsing the String into a "formula" for evaluation. You'll have to write a parser or find one.
Google for "Java math expression parser" and see what you get.
Or write your own with JavaCC.

You have a datatable in which each row is a question, correct?
Also in each row you have 5 possible answers that are in a radio, correct?
So,
You need to put in your datatable model, a question, and a list of answers (5 in yor case) and the selected one.
So you will have a get to the question, an SelectItem[] list to populate the radios and another get/set to the selected question.
ex:

I have an ADF table that is based on a collectionModel built programmatically. The collectionModel is this:
model = new SortableModel(new ArrayList<ArrayList>());
Hence, it is not a binding table. My question is how to get the selectedRows from a non-bind table.
I am used to building binding ADF table and I know we can get it from voiterator.getCurrentRow, since the selectionListener is set to the binding....collectionModel.makeCurrent

You should use the selection event and check the added set. This should give you access to the selected row.

Hi friends,
I need to call a Java class from my Forms 6i application.
(It runs under WIndows XP. It's a client/server application and I have only the client and the Form builder installed on my PC)
I don't know almost anything about Java's world so your help would be very useful for me.
Could you tell me exactly what i have to do?
I've read in metalink several Notes, but they supposed that the Java architecture is already installed in the computer.... I only have the default installation of Developer 6i... so I would need to know:
- How to install/configure the neccesary to execute Java classes without problem
- How to invoke the .class from Forms 6i.

4. Now run the Forms Builder by using the command.

How did you obtained the reference to ActionServlet?
Any of doPost, doGet or doService are called automatically by servlet container ( it provides the reference to request and response).
Search for class org.apache.struts2.ServletActionContext

How to get missing songs from old phone

Hello all,
I recently broke my iphone and I just received a new one in the mail the other day. I created a backup in itunes and used that backup to restore my new phone. However, when my new phone was finished restoring I was missing about 1000 songs. Without starting over what is the best way to get the missing music from my old phone to the new one? Can I load itunes on another computer and then sync my music from my old phone and then just copy the library to itunes on my main computer? Thanks for any help.
