How to get Session value in Custom OAF page

Hi,
Already existing Custom oaf page is there in that they seted session value using the following API

here s is getting null value how can i get the session value is there any another method to get the session value in custom page

getParameterMap() returns a Map[1] with all parameters; the parameter name is the key and the value is the value of the parameter in the form of String arrays.
You have to iterate over the Map and get values as you see fit. Search for a tutorial/ example/ sample for using Maps. I'm sure you'll find loads that will do a better job at explaining.

How to get the value in one JSP page to another?

Hi,
I have problems in passing the value around in JSP. I have two JSP pages as below:
test1.jsp
I try to get the vaule from my textbox by using:
String strUser = request.getParameter ("strUserName");
Then i print out by using: out.print(strUser); then i can get the value and put on my page (For example, i get ABC on my page).
test2.jsp
Next, i want to get the value from strUser (which mean that the one i already display on page in test1.jsp, ABC) to insert into my table by using INSERT INTO statement. Then i try by using
String strUser1 = request.getParameter ("strUser");
Is it possbile for me to do that? I cannot get anything to insert into my table. Then i tried out.print(strUser1); then i found that i get NULL value.
Could you please give me some guidance?

When i click on the BID button in the logged_page.jsp then i always get the last record and save into my table and that is not what i want to. i want to get the result on the same row as the BID button that just click and save to my table.

How to get month value from custom calendar without passing parameter from SSRS in MDX query

Could you please throw some light to achieve below requirement?
I need to filter the data between two periods dynamically . The date calendar here works differently(ex:-Date 26-Aug-2014 will fall in period 7 which is last date and 27-Aug-2014 will fall in period 8 and it is first date of period 8),so I cannot go
with system date period/Month. Date Hierarchy is like YEAR,QUARTER,PERIOD ,WEEK and DAY.
I cannot use SSRS for passing parameter. Requirement is to extract last 2 period of data dynamically in Power Pivot with MDX.

What it is doing is multiplying Day by the current date, which returns a set of one date with cardinality of (Date,Day). The Extract is pulling out just the datehierarchy Day. the the Tail() is getting it and the previous day.

I think you are trying to hide the Product branding that appears right next to the corporate image ( Oracle image ) ,
well you can do this using controller code , in processRequest of your controller add this code

Hi Kranthi,
Every webdynpro component has a global controller called the component controller which is visible to all other controllers within the component.So whenever you want to share some data in between 2 different views you can just make it a point to use the component controller's context for the same. For your requirement (within your popups view context) you will have have to copy the component controllers context to your view. You then will have to (programmatically) fill this context with your desired data in this popup view. You can then be able to read this context from whichever view you want. I hope that this would have made it clear for you. Am also giving you an [example|http://****************/Tutorials/WebDynproABAP/Modalbox/page1.htm] which you can go through which would give you a perfect understanding of all this. In this example the user has an input field in the main view. The user enters a customer number & presses on a pushbutton. The corresponding sales orders are then displayed in a popup window for the user. The user can then select any sales order & press on a button in the popup. These values would then get copied to the table in the main view.

How to get return values from task flow in af:region ?

I'm working with a taskFlow that is rendered inside a popup using the "popup inside a region pattern" (http://www.oracle.com/technology/products/adf/patterns/popupregionpattern.pdf), but now this taskFlow has an input parameter and a return value definition. So the question is how to get a value returned by this taskFlow thas is called inside a region?

Hi,
write the value to a shared memory scope like session and read it in the regionNavigation listener. If you follow the paper you refer to then the listener determines of the viewId is null, this a return happens. It wuld then look in the memory scope for the return value.
Another option would be to use an object that you pass as an argument to the task flow you open in the popup. Then you change the object you passed in, which then makes the return information available in teh calling flow. The object you pass in would have to be in a shared scope too

You probably want to look at function module DYNP_VALUES_READ to allow you to read the values of the other screen fields during the F4 event... below is a simple demo of this - when you press F4 the value from the p_field is read and returned in the p_desc field.

How to get the values of the objects inside an object??

I suppose reflection is needed here, but I cant figure out how to get the values of the objects inside an object...

I realized that massive int objects called MAX_VALUE, MIN_VALUE and SIZE where causing the StackOverflow, so I removed them from the analysis.
This is the resultant code. But I think it isnt accurate in calculating the real size of objects being got using reflexion.
Do you or somebody have any more suggestions?

How to get textfield values from a tableRowGroup

I have textfield in a table.
my problem is
How to get textfield values from a tablerowgroup1.

I have created getQuantity and setQuantity properties in my session bean and mapped text property of tabletextbox to session bean quantity.
also used map to set and reatrieve quantity values.
I am getting error for bean type quantity.

How to Get Resource value which are referred in code behind file using IResourceProvider

Currently I'm working on moving the Resource file from "App_GlobalResources" to Database by using IResourceProvider. I created a CustomResourceProvider project using ResourceProviderFactory and able to get the resource values from DB which
are used in aspx page.
But i'm not able to get the values which are referring from code behind file.
Ex: Label1.Text = Resources.Common.Car; // This is still coming from resx file.
Can any one please let me know how to get the value from DB instead of resx file which are referred in cs file.
Appreciate your help.
The below code uses the ResourceProviderFactory which calls this method and gets it from DB. Please let me know if you need any more info.

Javascript get session value

I would like to display a "Confirm message box " with javascript , eg Confirm ("Sure to Delete (Y/N") , the confirm message should depend on some condition from session bean . For example , if the user select the current lanuage on Login , session bean should keep a value to store the current language , afterward if the user delete a record , the content of the confirm message will depend on the lanugage which the user selected .
Do anyone can help me how to get a value from session in javascript .

You can create invisible static field (or other component) bound to session bean property you need. In JavaScript, you can get value of this static field.

Hi,
Yes, we do this by extending controller, but you can also try this without extending controller.
1. Create Submit Button on TableRN using personalization.
2. Set "Destination URI" property to like below
OA.jsp?page=/<yourname>/oracle/apps/ak/employee/webui/EmpDetailsPG&employeeNumber={@EmployeeId}&employeeName={@EmployeeName}&retainAM=Y&addBreadCrumb=Y
Give your custom page path instead of EmpDetailsPG.
EmployeeId and EmployeeName are VO attributes(Table Region)
If you dont have desired attribute in VO, then write logic in your custom page controller to get required value using parameters passed from URL path.
In this case, only personalization will do our job. Hope it helps.
