How to call & pass values to custom page from seeded page table region

can anyone tell me how to call & pass values to custom page from seeded page table region(Attribute is not available in seeded page VO)

Hi,
Yes, we do this by extending controller, but you can also try this without extending controller.
1. Create Submit Button on TableRN using personalization.
2. Set "Destination URI" property to like below
OA.jsp?page=/<yourname>/oracle/apps/ak/employee/webui/EmpDetailsPG&employeeNumber={@EmployeeId}&employeeName={@EmployeeName}&retainAM=Y&addBreadCrumb=Y
Give your custom page path instead of EmpDetailsPG.
EmployeeId and EmployeeName are VO attributes(Table Region)
If you dont have desired attribute in VO, then write logic in your custom page controller to get required value using parameters passed from URL path.
In this case, only personalization will do our job. Hope it helps.

will add the action to Undo/Redo stack. Please correct me if I'm wrong.
I don't want AE to add it to undo/redo stack. So is there any way to
tell AE not to add AEGP_SetStreamValue() action to undo/redo stack? Or is there a call to force render from AEGP?

Passing value of View Attribute from standard page to custom page

Hi everyone,
I have a custom page which needs to be called from a standard page. Now this custom page is based on some parameters whose value will depend on the dynamic selection by user. So how to get the currently executed value from VO.
For ex: Vendor Id , contact id and site Id all are to be fetched which are present in three different VOs. When user select particular vendor, contact and site these values will change accordind to selection.
Here do I need to extend the controller and application module of the standard page or it can be done by passing parameters in destination URI of submit button.
I tried using parameters in destination URI of submit button as {VO.ViewAttributeName} and printing in custom page but it was printing " {VO.ViewAttributeName}" as it is.
Please help..

How to pass values to dashboard prompts from external applications

Any idea is well appreciated.
How can I pass values of dashboard prompts from external applications to the dashboard prompts so that the dashboard is prefiltered based on values sent by external applications.

i am able to change the session variable and able to call the dashboard from external app, but i identified prompt value not changing. but Finally i am able to found a workaround for you.
Use the following URL and it explained here
http://localhost:9704/analytics/saw.dll?Dashboard&nquser=Administrator&nqpassword=Administrator&PortalPath=/shared/abcd/_portal/dash1&Options=rmf&DSN=madan
PortalPath is your dashboard location. /shared/abcd is folder where i saved dashboards. dash1 is my dashboard name.
internally this dashboard includes many reports that uses the session variable. after doing above this i am able to update the session variable to the value i have given in URL, DSN=value.
You may observer here that calls the dashboard and passes the value but its not updating the prompt value. so workaround for this is edit your prompt,
change the Default to - SQL Results and place the sql
SELECT CASE WHEN 1=0 THEN Markets.Region ELSE VALUEOF(NQ_SESSION.DSN) END saw_0 FROM Paint
again here Market.Region is column from presentation layer and Paint is subject area. After doing this step, your prompt always shows value in the session varible as default.
Now include reports and dashboard prompt in the dashboard and run this url from external applicaitons.

How the ORG_ID pass into OM Customer Search

I need some help for understanding how the ORG_ID pass into OM Customer Search (navigation OM Supper User >> Customers >> Summary). We currently have MOAC settup with that responsibility.
1. In R12 how the ORG_ID passing into each session, is it through FND_GLOBAL.APPS_INITIALIZE or MO_GLOBAL or?
2. How can I see the runtime ORG_ID inside HTML or Forms.
3. What is the function and package MO_GLOBAL.ORG_SECURITY in dba_policies for object_name like 'HZ_CUST%' mean?
The result of searching is so inconsistent, sometime able to search customer but sometime are not, event it is the same address?

I have reviewed those note before. I performed tested in sqlplus and it work as I expected but within HTML page through multiple responsibilities. the search sometime work sometime not work. I really want to know.
1. How the ORG_ID passing through each session. As far as I know the "FND_GLOBAL.APPS_INITIALIZE" no longer setting the operation unit in MOAC but rather than the MO: Default Operating Unit at the user level or responsibility level. Is that mean when I switch responsibility it will perform a) cal FND_GLOBAL.APPS_INITIALIZE b) lookup profile value for MO: Default Operating Unit?
2. What is the function and package MO_GLOBAL.ORG_SECURITY does? Should I see that execute when I switch the responsibility every time?
3. How can I validate the ORG_ID that passing into each session HTML page?
I am confused because it is inconsistent.

How to call a AM method with parameters from Managed Bean?

I have a situation where I need to call AM method (setDefaultSubInv) from Managed bean, under Value change Listner method. Here is what I am doing, I have added AM method on to the page bindings, then in bean calling this

This works and able to call this method if there are no parameters. Say I have to pass a parameter to AM method setDefaultSubInv(String a), i tried calling this from the bean but throws an error

2- Add it to Page Def.

How do I call a method in BPM object from JSF page? Is it possible to invoke it in a manner similar to invoking a method from managed bean in JSF application?

You can use f:invoke (or f:invokea to with parameters)
For ajax calls, you can use f:invokeUrl to get the URL to a particular method within your BPM object, although make sure the Server-Side Method property is set to Yes.

We have tried below methods
1) criteria tab and edit the ‘column properties’ associated with your fact measure. Choose the ‘Data Format’ tab, tick to override the default format and choose ‘Custom’.
It seems that the syntax for this custom format is positive-value-mask (semi colon) negative-value-mask (semi colon) null-mask. So this means we have a few options.
E.g. if you want zeros (0) instead of null then enter:
#,##0;-#,##0;0
2) in that formula columns we have put it below case condition also ,
Measure Column: Nom_amt --> edit formulas
CASE WHEN Nom_amt IS NULL THEN 0 ELSE Nom_amt END
3) we have uncheked IS NULL check box in the admin tool also

Null value in database displaying as 0 in report, I need to keep value as in database, and I have one calculated row which is based on null values should also null in report.
but it showing 0 for null values also so, my calculated row showing wrong result.
my report is like
col1 col2
ABC 0
BCD 12
DEF -12 --this is calculated row.
I require result like:
col1 col2
ABC null
BCD 12
DEF null --this is calculated row.
Please let me know how I can achieve this.

Can we modify the standard AOL Message with custom Message in Seeded Page?

I have a requirement to change AOL Message with custom Message in Seeded Page.
In a seeded OAF page when a user clicks on a submit button a standard AOL Processing Message is populated.
I Need to change the Standard Message and call Custom Message.
Did controller extension and found that both the messages are populating.
called the code after super and tried to call before super also.
Did any one face this issue and resolved it. Kindly provide the solution.
